How to perceive everything in the world as symbols of life?

The humidity that appears to be in this image cannot damage your electronic device, because it is just a simulation. Likewise, nothing in a world where there seems to be more than one can hurt that which is you, namely the formlessness of oneness, because formlessness is endless, so a world where there seems to be more than one is just a simulation. PART 1:
Everybody knows, that when they read or hear a word like water, it will not quench their thirst. They perceive the letters w + a + t + e + r as a symbol of that which will quench their thirst. This not something they have to think about, because due to past experiences of water they know the letters are just a symbol of it.

Nothing in a world where there seems to be more than one turns out the way you want. Something always seems to be missing. That is how you know, there is no oneness in such a world, because that which is one is formless and therefore endless, so everything is always there.

But in regards to perceiving everything in a world where there seems to be more than one as symbols of that which is one, you cannot know what oneness is, because that requires more than one. So the way to perceive everything as a symbol of that which is one is to realise that since oneness is formless and therefore endless, there is no more than that which is one. Hence there is no oneness in a world where there seems to be more than one.

You are always protected, when you see everything in the world as symbols of the oneness, because it takes more than one to be attacked.

And just like the word water is without water is and nothing but a symbol of it, you can conclude, that a world without oneness is a symbol of it – especially because there is no more than that which is one.

You cannot go wrong, when every way is a symbol of that which is life.

PART 2:
In a game like Monopoly, the streets are marked with different colours, so that it is easy to see, where you are and what you own. This is, of course, an illusion. You are not in Monopoly, and whatever you seem to own has no value.

For the illusion of being in the world of Monopoly to work, you must accept, that the different colours represent areas of different value, even though these colours are just painted on top of the very same cardboard. You must also accept to appear as if you are a little plastic car, that slowly moves from street to street, as if they are far from each other, even though they actually are coloured squares tightly fit together. Finally, you must agree to the goal of the game, which is to take everything from everybody else, so that it is only you who have something.

It sounds strange, but that is how the game is, and without following its rules, you miss the fun of it. Likewise when playing the game of duality. It falls apart if you think we are all the same, that there are no differences, and that we should share everything in love and peace.

Those who are good at taking from others within the framework of society gets the most, and in general also much respect for having taken so much to themselves at the expense of others.

In the world we are all separated. The change of colors in this pic, so that the person persons seems less separated has not changed a thing, as the pic is not real. Neither does all the talk about love, peace and oneness change a thing, because it has nothing to do with the reality of the world of duality. It is a world of separation and nothing can change that.

In the world, we are all separated. By removing most colours in this photo, so it becomes monochromatic, makes the persons seem to be less separated. But as the image is not real, nothing has actually changed. Likewise removing hate and whatnot from a world of duality does not change anything, as the world is not real, but a simulation on top of that of that which is real. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

We are not at one in a world of duality but different creatures appearing in different places. Contrary to what some claim we do not want peace. And we do not love each other, least of all ourselves. In a world of duality, you can only survive by taking something – physically or psychologically – from outside of what you appear to be, so we are always at war with others.

Many dream about a higher power to lift them out of their misery. But the reason they see ugly things, and have unrealistic dreams about escaping it, is that they think they are ugly.

If you judge this to be bad, you have judged yourself to be bad. The world is in the eye of the beholder, and the world does not become less ugly and more beautiful when you try to change it with love, peace and whatnot, because giving love is based on the idea of separation and therefore enhances the cause of you feeling ugly.

It is not possible to escape an illusion, but it is possible to undo the belief in it
So how to escape the illusion of duality? Sorry to say, this is a silly question. It only makes sense, when you believe the illusion is real. How to escape Monopoly? No escape is needed. You are not there. It is a virtual world. The way to make it go away is not to love, being at peace, or at one. Ideas like that only enhance the belief, that the world of Monopoly is real.

Any time you want Monopoly to go away, all that is needed is to put it back in its box. No need to leave the world of Monopoly, because you are not there. It was something you pretended and before you did that, while you pretended it and after pretending it, you are exactly what and where you are in the world of duality. The game of Monopoly does not change that.

Likewise, that which is you is not in a world of duality but in non-duality. To put the world of duality – or rather the belief in it as real – back in its box takes no time or space, as there is no time in non-duality. Yet believing to be in a world of duality everything appears to take time – just like in the context of such a world it takes eight minutes for the rays of the sun to reach you – so undoing the belief in it also seems to take time.

To see everything in the world as symbols of life
If you are a long time reader of Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings, you probably know by now, that one recommendation of them is to see everything in the world as symbols of life – or in the context of this article to see everything in duality as a symbol of non-duality.

This recommendation is not meant to say, that this is the best way – there are no right ways in an illusion – to return to non-duality. But it may be the fastest way, although ultimately speaking it is a journey without distance because as non-duality is formless it is endless and you have therefore never left it.

´Seeing everything in the of world duality as symbols of non-duality´ is an illusion within the illusion of duality, but it may help you to see, that you are not in a world of duality but that which is making it possible for such an illusion to be experienced, namely non-duality.

It may not work, however, if you use it to deny what you judge as bad, because what is denied is hidden. But the beauty of ´seeing everything in a world of duality as symbols of non-duality´ is, that even if you use it to deny and exclude specific feelings, this denial and exclusion is fortunately only possible due to non-duality, so they are of course also symbols of that.

Though it is due to electricity, you can experience a cup of coffee, the coffee in no way resembles electricity, no matter with how much love it is produced. Likewise duality in no way resembles the life that makes it possible to experience duality. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Though it is due to electricity a cup of coffee can be experienced, it does not resemble electricity, regardless the way it is presented. Likewise duality in no way resembles non-duality though there is nothing else than that which makes it possible to experience such an illusion, because non-duality is formless and therefore endless. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Though none of the illuminated appearances in a dark room resemble electricity – regardless that is the power making it possible to perceive them – and though there is no electricity in them, you could say they are symbols of it.

Likewise you can say, that everything perceived in a world of duality is a symbol of non-duality, because though there non-duality is not in a world of duality and nothing there resembles it, everything you seem to see there is a symbol non-duality, as non-duality is formless and therefore endless, so there is nothing else than that to make it possible to experience the illusion of duality.

So you cannot go wrong by seeing everything in a world of duality as symbols non-duality. Even though love and hate seem so different in a world of duality, the difference does not make a difference, when it is not the appearance that matters but what they symbolise.

There are no rules in an illusion, that you must follow. That would be an illusion.

The more everything in a world of duality, whether it appears to be bad or good, is seen as symbols of life, the less duality appears to be real, and so you feel free. When this feeling or any other is also perceived as a symbol non-duality, you cannot feel as someone definitive anymore. Consequently, the belief in duality is undone and the world of duality is back in the black box, where it seemed to come from.

Believing to in a body in a world where there seems to be more than one, the price is suffering, so why not get the excitement of being and having more, that you are paying for. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

You can have your cake and eat it too when seeing everything as symbols of life
It is quite stupid to look for peace in a world where there seems to be more than one, as peace is that which is one, and in a world where there seems to be more than one, it is all about the excitement of being and having more. It comes with a price though, namely loneliness and suffering.

Although appearing in a world, where there seems to be more than one, is an illusion, it is even more illusionary to navigate in it, as if you are not separated from that which is one but full of peace and joy. In a world where there seems to be more than one, you fear others, because it is everybody against everybody.

A world where there seems to be more than one is founded on separation, so appearing to be someone in such a world you are basically alone and separated from the rest. This is an experience of loss and therefore suffering, but believing to be someone definitive there, you are obviously willing to pay the price – otherwise, you would not try to make it there or improve it political or spiritual.

Peace in a world, where there appear to be more than one, is a dream that cannot come true because peace is that which is one. Only the appearance of separation can be attained in a world, where there appear to be more than one. Yet when you do not focus on appearances but their content, they become symbols of that which makes it possible to perceive more than one, namely the oneness of life – and so you feel free to not give a shit about peace, which is quite peaceful. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

So why not have the excitement of the world that you are paying for, instead of looking for the peace of mind the do-gooders and gurus are talking about. What they offer is not peace but a speculative state of mind. There is no peace to find in a world where there seems to be more than one because peace is that which is one.  But rest assured, peace is yours, which is obvious when you choose to have the belief that there is more than that which is one undone.

»Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.« Jesus said according to Matthew 10:34. »For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.« Matthew 10:35

If you perceive everything that seems to be separated as symbols of that which is not separated but is the formlessness of oneness, everything separated seems united through being symbols of the same. Hence you are having the belief in a world where there seems to be more than one undone, while at the same time having the excitement its multiplicity of symbols. In other words, you can have your cake and eat it too.
