The self, the consciousness and the brain

The brain cannot force the consciousness that it has implemented in the self created by itself to acknowledge the experiences it continuously fabricates of a tangible world. But if the self wants to appear as it exists as someone substantial, its consciousness has to endorse the experiences as real (read more about that here) because otherwise there is nothing to confirm that it exists.

If appearing as someone substantial in a tangible world does not seem appealing to the self, it should not listen to the stream of thoughts the brain makes to simulate the existence of a visible world. Nor should it try to stop or change the constant stream, but listen to the emptiness from where the brain seems to have created it.

This, however, is not possible to do because literally speaking there is nothing there. The experience of something is made by the brain, but as it takes one second for it to process such an experience (read more about that here), you can hear the unprocessed version of any experience at the beginning of that second (read more about that here), and thus remain in the bliss of not-knowing (read more about that here) what and where the brain makes you experience to be one second later.

You cannot continue in this state of not-knowing* for more than 20 minutes, 45 at most. See the hack 20 minutes, 45 at most in Extra Duality Hacks. After that, you must again acknowledge being someone substantial by having conscious experiences of the tangible world rendered by the brain, or the brain falls into a coma, and you disappear in the nothingness from where your existence was conceived, wherefore nothing does not appear to be something anymore.

If the latter is the case, the unprocessed sounds from a state of not-knowing,* which are glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is one, quickly seem to merge into one sound.

But as it takes more than one to exist, what you believe to have existed does not exist anymore and never did. As this includes the believer there is nobody to experience the sound of oneness. Nor that the nothingness of you gracefully falls through a boundless black hole until there is no hole or anything else than which always has been and always will remain that which is one. As there is no more than that which is one, since it is formless and therefore endless, and as it takes more than one to experience something, the experience of being someone who sees this image is an illusion. Besides from being heard, the glimpses of enlightenment can also be seen, felt or tasted, while in a state of not-knowing.* The fusion of either sounds, sights, emotions or tastes into one is the enlightenment of that which is one.

Those who perceive something as a problem work hard to change what they believe to have caused it. But there would not be a single problem if they were willing to have the belief in being someone undone because that leaves nobody to perceive anything to differ from something else.

The above explanation should not be taken too literally, since doing so you remain in the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one undone. All that is needed to undo this belief is the willingness to have it undone.

But like most others, you probably do not have it. No problem. If you admit that, your willingness to go on a journey without distance to that which is one is activated, as you have just acknowledged that being and having more than one is make-believe. This willingness is, of course, set aside when you engaged in mundane matters like driving a car, where it is bests to be in sync with the instructions from the brain.

Even though nobody has ever seen Santa Claus, he seems to be real for those who wants to believe that. Likewise, although nobody has ever seen anything (read more about that here) the experiences of a tangible seems to be real for those who want to believe so.

Relating to the script of the brain

Only the special self is so removed from its basic being that it needs to be grounded or find a higher self (read more about being grounded here). The basic self has no such needs. It does not search for anything but relates to the thoughts coming from the brain so that it is in sync with the present experience processed by it.

The relationship between what you believe to be and the brain can be compared to the relationship between you and your smartphone, which organises this and that …

Relating to the thoughts of the brain does not mean you must be in agreement with them to feel good. As long as your response refers to the thoughts of the brain, you will feel entertained whether you seem to have an angry or calm response.

Nor does relating to the thoughts of the brain make the events that occur seem more consistent. Maybe you get an impulse to sit down and read this article in the middle of doing the dishes, and so you do, regardless of being the basic or special self, because the brain is in charge. Your response to this may be a bit neurotic.

As this response, in the case of the basic self, solely relates to the thoughts as they come from the brain, the disturbance is experienced to be part of the ongoing entertainment produced by the brain. But most likely the basic self will not feel disturbed at all by this sudden change, because it has no need to finish anything since it always feels complete.

The response of the special self, however, does not relate to the thoughts as they come from the brain but to the thoughts. It expects to come, so the disturbance is experienced to proof that the brain is way off. As a consequence, the special self does not want to feel entertained by the brain but hold onto a feeling of anger, which therefore becomes sticky and seems to block the softer experiences that otherwise would make it feel more at ease.

As the special self blames the brain for this, it tries to exclude what it perceives to come from it and only include what it perceives to come from what it believes to be. But it is not possible to eliminate anything coming from the brain – just from one´s perception of it.

This exclusion results in a feeling of having less, so the special self starts looking for more and stubbornly resists in doing that in its own way and pace. But it is not able to follow its own way, because it always doubts what it is. Thus it ends up using a pendant or paying a clairvoyant, for example, to tell it what to do.

Being in sync with the script of the brain or not

If you perceive the sun to go up and down, you are out of sync with the script because it is not going up and down. It is what and where you believe to be, that is going up and down. See also The sun never goes up and down – it is a deception.

If life is perceived as stillness, you do not want the thrill of quickness. But the funny thing is that if your perception is in sync with the very fast speed of the Earth and thus of you as you move with it in the exact same speed, you feel calm inside while racing outside.

As your perception, therefore, is not coordinated with what is going on, namely that you move 1600 km/hr at the equator and a little less north and south of it, you will not feel the thrill of the speed but the depression of a static perception founded on unstable thoughts.

This static perception, which is the one society supports, is meant to make you think that fulfilment comes from being still and not from resonating with the speed of the planet’s movement. The pulsation of the latter, which feels like an earthquake makes the body shiver in total joy, makes it easy to go on as the basic self. Especially because being in sync with this speed, glimpses of enlightenment comes and goes (read about glimpses of enlightenment here).

The special self, on the other hand, needs to imagine that consuming static things with no pulse, clothes, for example, is going to make it feel excited about the attention it gets from others when it wears them in the future.

There is no right way to perceive the script of the brain in order to be in sync with it. As long as the perception relates to the script as it is and not as it is imagined to be, everybody is right in their own way.

Perceiving the script, however, for It is what it is, you are sure to always be in sync with it and thus to feel entertained. Besides, you are not that far from the perception, Dunno what it is, which connects you with the empty breath and its the bliss of the nothing instead of the brains entertainment of something.

To connect with the empty breath,*** however, you must neither relate to or oppose the script of the brain, like the basic and special self respectively does, because in doing so you confirm it as something. So unlike the basic self who says »It is what it is« and the special self who says »I know what it is,« you say »Dunno what it is.« Read more about that here.

If this is so, or you wish that, you are not confirming it to be something and thus move back the one second in linear time it has taken the brain to produce it from out of nothing. In a state of not-knowing you may enter an ethereal world, that looks like what is described to be the world of the gods, nirvana or whatever people have called it. The colours are extremely lucid, nothing is solid but very big without a definite shape. It could be that this is the first stage of the fantasy, that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one.

And it sure seems more exciting than that which is one. The problem though is that when you believe that there is more than that which is one, nothing is good enough, because you always think there must be more. That is why you are not in that ethereal world anymore but in this dense world where you are reading an article with more and more letters.

So even if you return to this ethereal world, which seems to be the goal of many gurus, you will not be able to stay there but spiral back to what and where you believe to be in a world defined by time and space.

In other words, for one reason or the other, you will return from a state of not-knowing something to the conscious of something. This is often a matter of seconds or a few minutes and no more than 20 minutes, 45 at most, because after that the brain will fall into a coma due to lack of conversation with someone experienced to be different from it, as then there does not appear to be more than one and it takes more than one to be alive.

Most long to go back to into the bliss. But if you just once have dived all the way through it, you know there is nothing to return to, because it is nothing but the absence of something which is blissful. Thus a state of not-knowing is perceived like going to sleep. A necessary break from the conscious experience of being someone definitive.

Nevertheless, if a state of not-knowing lasts more than 20 minutes, 45 at most, nor bliss or anything else than the enlightenment of that which is one can be sensed. And the latter can only be sensed for the split second it takes to erase whatever memories there may be left of a world where there seems to be more than one.

To conclude, living a good life, as someone who appears to be in a world where there seems to be more than one, your perception of it must be in sync with the way the brain has scripted it to unfold. As the special self sees itself as someone who can write its own script, it considers being in sync with the brain for something that would require it to surrender. And this it does not want.

For the basic self, however, it is not a matter of surrendering but simply to follow what is in its own best interest, because being in sync with the brain makes it feel good, no matter how itself or the world appears to be.

NOTES about It is what it is versus I know what it is versus Dunno what it is

Perceiving the script of the brain for it is what it is, does not exclude feeling what it is but includes it. Hence this perception is not detaching or distancing yourself from experiencing the moment as it is. On the contrary, it makes sure you enjoy it to the full because you are so attached to perceive the script of the brain for it is what it is.

When you watch a movie in your home none of the characters enters it, even though that is from where you experience them. They are not even on the screen. If it is a digital one, there is nothing but zeros and ones added together in such a way, that the brain seems to receive the combined result as a world in 3D. If it is an analogue movie, it is nothing but reflections of light, that the brain interprets as a world where there seems to be more than one.

The special self is constantly confused because the many stories it makes up about the greatness of itself are not always consistent. Thus looks for clarity and admire those it perceives to have it. The basic self, on the other hand, has no need for clarity but the thoughts that stream from the brain. It does not perceive it as anything else than it is what it is, regardless it seems consistent and whatnot.

The basic self, as well as the special one, follows the GPS coordination it gets from the brain without making any side trips of its own because it does not have the power to change anything but how to perceive it. Their perception is very different though. The perception of the basic self is that it is what it is or shit happens, but this is not the perception of the special self. It never accepts anything as it is.

Instead, it makes up a special perception of how it should be, first and foremost that everything revolves around itself, so if shit happens it is, for example, perceived to be for the benefit of the special self so it can to learn something important, or it is its karma or something else centred around itself.

Roughly speaking the perception of the special self is I know what it is, whereas the basic self has a perception that says It is what it is. And the non-self in a state of not-knowing* has nothing to say but Dunno what it is, as there is nobody to perceive the apparent differences in the experiences coming from the brain to make a difference.

When you do not react to the script of the brain, or your special version of it, by perceiving it to be something, there is no cause and effect and so it all falls apart and leave nothing but the emptiness from where out was conceived.

If you do not make up a perception that avoids, corrects or replace the script of the brain, you confirm you miss nothing and thus have everything!

There is no philosophy to extract from Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings because the world of duality is not there, so nothing can be extracted. Neither is this conclusion anything, that is to be used for the fabrication of anything.
