∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you have perceived a singular opinion of yours as ´it is what it is,´ it reveals itself to be twofold. And since you appear to be in a world of duality, and everything in such a world operates in pairs, you feel complete. If this is perceived to be good enough, every moment is the perfect moment. Nothing is wrong or missing. Read more about that in hack #3.1 Every moment is the perfect moment.

Consequently, you must have decided something is specifically wrong if you do not feel complete. Since that is your own choice, you can undo it and again sense that feeling complete is good enough. Read more about choosing in hack #2.2 Choosing or not. Having done that a few times, you have established every moment is the perfect moment regardless of what and where you appear to be. In other words, if your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, you do not wait for a better moment but this one as it is.

As that means you never wait for something better, the continuation of duality, eventually, comes to an end. Hence there does not appear to be something hiding, there never was or will be anything but non-duality since it is formless and therefore endless.

If you do not perceive what you feel as ´it is what it is,´ but as ´I know what it is,´ you become numb because a feeling can only be known when explained, which makes it mental. Hence you do not feel entertained but bored. To make up for that, you enhance the perception ´I know what it is´ with stories about a better future.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When your reaction to something is sadness, and it is perceived as ´it is what it is,´ you also get gladness. First of all, because everything comes in pairs in a world of duality, but also because if something has not made you happy at some point, it cannot make you sad. For example, when your cat dies, your sadness is related to the many years of gladness you had when it was alive.

Should you, instead, make the perception ´I know what it is,´ when your cat dies and what you believe to know is that this makes you sad, you must exclude gladness to prove you are only sad. But without gladness, sadness cannot be defined. Therefore, what you believe in knowing that you feel is a thought up idea of sadness. Thus you do not feel sad but fake.

You suppress your reaction to something because you do not want to see that you are boxed in by your totalitarian ideas of how to appear and that your revolt against others, therefore, is misplaced. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Since your internal comments about the world in most cases only have one meaning and, therefore, are cut off from their complementary part, you appear to judge yourself and others for being incomplete. Hence you get the urge to improve something to feel complete.

But it is nobody other than yourself who has made the single-minded comments that seem to make the rules for what you and others can do. Fortunately, there is no need to identify these rules to set yourself and others free from your confinement. Instead, you simply perceive your present opinion about something, for example what you are reading right now, as ´it is what it is.´

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

In a video game, everything is predetermined. No matter what you choose to do, the subsequent events have already been arranged, likewise, in a world of duality. You can choose between different stories going on inside your head. No matter which one you settle for, your next step is decided in advance by the brain. It cannot be changed. You can, however, choose how to perceive your reaction to that step.

When you choose to perceive your reaction as ´it is what it is,´ it is experienced to be two-fold, and since you are in a world of duality, the result is satisfaction. But if you perceive your reaction as ´I know what it is,´ it seems singular and, therefore, incompatible with duality. Hence you do not feel satisfied but frustrated by duality. Unfortunately, most think the solution is to get rid of duality. Yet, it is the other way around.

Playing the game of duality, you confirm non-duality because it is formless and therefore endless, so it must be the sole reason for the experience of duality. And also, the reason, duality is not real. Read more about that in HACK #4 When you begin to live by duality, it is going to end.

The more you perceive an experience as ´it is what it is,´ the more carefree you feel. Perhaps so much that the perception automatically changes to ´dunno what it is´ and bring about glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is one because it is nowhere.

Not storing thoughts and feelings in the body or projecting them onto the world, they are experienced in you but nowhere in particular. Therefore, as you do not seem to be defined by them, you do not feel stuck as someone definitive in a world of duality. This does not mean you need to bring back all the thoughts and feelings you have disassociated yourself from. The willingness to do so is sufficient. This is set forth by perceiving your reaction to any present thought or feeling as ´it is what it is

The result of this is not that you know who you are because it requires more than one to know something, and there is no more than that which is one since it takes more than one to have a shape, so it is formless and therefore endless.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You feel desperate because you do not want others to see that you feel left out by what they do or not do. You hide this sense of inferiority by first explaining the standard rules of engagement and then accusing them of disrespecting you by not adhering to this like you do. As they most likely feel guilty, there seems to an agreement for communicating in a way that makes you feel connected. But since this way is based on how you have conditioned yourself to experience being together, it is your own doing if you feel alone.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Feelings only seem to be in conflict when specific ones are judged either to be right or wrong. But when feeling wrong is perceived as ´it is what it is,´ it is revealed that to be best buddies with feeling right. This is because, in a world of duality, everything comes in pairs of opposites that charge each other. If you do not break up this polarity, you feel complete. It is not something personal when the special self blames everybody for being wrong. Others are just a means to get rid of whatever the special self perceives as unacceptable in itself so that it feels good by making somebody look bad.

This does not necessarily mean the special self wants to hide a secret wish to dominate if it accuses someone of being a dictator. Maybe it wants to hide that authority makes it feel stubborn because the special self needs to deny such feeling in itself to maintain the belief in being open-minded. It could also be that someone perceived to be in power triggers a basic feeling in the special self of not being good enough. This it wants to hide by blaming someone else for having caused it by mistreating the special self.

But the feelings, the special self excludes from its consciousness as something that is part of itself, will return to its awareness when it sees nobody to project them on. To avoid that, the special self is always on the lookout for a scapegoat. If not finding any and its former used to be its primary scapegoat, it probably continues an inner conversation with the spouse until a replacement is found.

This is not to say that one should stop blaming others because if you do that, you miss a perfect opportunity to see what you hide in yourself by blaming others. There is probably no faster way to expose a problem of yours than to blame others for having caused it. And there probably is no quicker way to resolve the exposed issue than to use its unedited energy for a take-off to the empty breath. By doing that, your slate is wiped clean in a second (read more about that here), so you are restored as the basic self and feels renewed. You do not even have to understand the exposed problem or know how to ignite a take-off to the empty breath. All you need is to feel your frustration entirely.

Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings are written within the apparent reality of duality. They do not claim to be non-dual or know what it is since that requires more than one. But they claim to know what is not non-duality, namely everything experienced, because it takes more than one to be aware of something.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Everything in Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings is fictitious. There is no similarity to reality because that is non-dual, and it takes more than one to read Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings. However, since they do not claim to be real, you are exposed as unreal the more you read them. Hence, eventually, there is not somebody to judge what is read as something that differs from the reader, wherefore there is no duality to hide that reality is non-dual.
