All the choices the special self claims to make are done in retrospect, for example having chosen its parents or to be somebody made out of flesh and bones. It is like when you interpret a dream based on the idea that what you appeared to be there was you, although you never were anywhere else than in your bed, and from the fragments of the dream that you remember decides it means this and that.

In other words, since there is nothing in a dream, you are making something out of nothing, which is not possible. Likewise whatever you choose that you are in a world where there seems to be more than one is something made out of nothing, as oneness is formless and therefore endless, so there is no more than that which is one.

This does not mean that which is you is nothing, nor everything, but the formlessness of oneness.

Since the brain is in charge of everything in a world where there seems to be more than one – read more about that here – the basic self never needs to make a decision. The same applies to special self indeed, but as it wants to manifest its independence, it goes against the stream of thoughts coming from the brain. Although that is not possible, the special self makes it appear as it is by making its decisions in retrospect and inventing a story that seems to prove it is in charge.

But as there is no more than that which is one, and as making a decision requires more than one any choice is an illusion. Thus the special self is much further from acknowledging the nothingness of itself than the basic and thus not being someone who seems to hide the formlessness of oneness.

When not identifying with what you appear to do, as if it is something, you are nobody and thus not somebody hiding, there is no more than the formlessness of oneness.

Believing to be someone substantial made out of flesh and bones just because you appear to be in a world defined by time and space is just as foolish as to believe you are a car made out of plastic when playing a game like Monopoly. You are not in that game, neither in the game of a world defined by time and space.

Thus that which is you is neither made out of flesh or plastic. In fact it is not made out of anything at all, because there is no more than that which is one and it takes more than one to be made of something, also to be conscious about something, wherefore whatever you believe to be made off or be conscious about is an illusion. This is why, it is not knowing what and where you are, that bids welcome the enlightenment of that which is one.

It does not feel good to believing to be what you are not. Hence you are always searching for special relationships or something else you imagine will make you feel better. But that which is you is not capable of searching, nor of being in a relationship, as it is that which is one and searching and being somewhere requires more than one. So does feeling good.

Fortunately there is no need for that, when not believing to be what you are not, because it takes more than one to need something.

The truth does not expect to be followed, as it is that which is one and it takes more than one to follow something. For the same reason, it cannot be sold or bought, taught or learned, unless you believe that there is more than one, but since that is not so, what is sold or bought, taught or learned is nothing exaggerated into being something.

The basic self constantly has an experience of being someone definitive in a world defined by time and space via the feelings, that keep popping up and thus make it very entertaining to be a basic self. But that is not so for the special self, because it wants to hang onto specific feelings in an attempt to be defined by them. Yet feelings prolonged by listening to music or whatnot becomes a pain in the ass.

This the special self is always trying to resolve by making something better, so that it does not just feel love, for example, but pure love – and instead of normal experiences it imagines to spiritual or direct experiences.

But as the special self gets confused from these speculative states of mind, it hit on the idea of going back to basic. Not the basic self though, but some theoretical state of being beyond the mind, although there is nothing to be beyond, because whether you follow the basic or special self, what you follow is nothing, so there is no self anywhere, nor ´someone´ imagining that there is.

That you can rid off feelings by hiding them in the body or get them out of your system by expressing them is an illusion, because there is nothing neither inside or outside of what you believe to be. There is no more than that which is one, since it is formless and therefore endless. And as it takes more than one to exist, you do not exist, so there is nothing to get rid off except the belief that you exist.

The idea of being transformed, going beyond, live in the now, coming from the heat or whatnot are nothing but ways to hide the illusion of your existence, because the idea of transforming or going beyond it establishes it as real, and that which cannot go anywhere since it is that which is one and it takes more than one to go anywhere as unreal, although there is no more that, since it is formless and therefore endless.

The special self is always on the way to the next moment, because it gets depressed, if it does not have anything to look forward to. So it hopes appointments and afterwards will extend it into being more important, and thus more satisfied.

But the basic self does not get afterwards, neither before. Not because it lives in the now. It does not get that either. All it gets is the flow of thoughts, that seem to add up to it as someone having a conscious experience of a world where there seems to be more than one.

It is not is not part of the flow to know if the experienced is real. But it is part of the flow that all experiences has an end – also the experience of being someone – so the basic self does not panic when the construction of thoughts that seem to hold it together falls apart.

The basic self is connected with its maker, which is the brain, that also is what it has made. And as it makes every experience, that the basic self has of a tangible world outside of it, the brain and thus the basic self is that as well. In other words, every experience of being someone in a tangible world is a fantasy made inside the brain. But also that there is a brain making a fantasy is a fantasy. Read more about this here. And there is nobody making it.

It is just like when having a dream within the context of the world where we appear to be. The dream is a fantasy made from out of nothing by nobody and with nobody in it, that ends all by itself. So does the fantasy of us being somebody substantial in a tangible world.

And he end is included in the fantasy, namely that everything which appeared to be something returns to the nothingness from where it seemed to arise, wherefore there is not something appearing to hide there never was or will be more than that which is one, since it is formless and therefore endless.

In other words, what and where you believe to be vanishes eventually vanishes. This is not a problem for the basic self though, because it has not like the special self established itself as someone special going its own, so it happily goes with the flow of the fantasy to the very end.
