+(++) INTRO TO HACK #4-7, ´The empty breath´ and the bliss of not believing to be someone

When Alexius some years ago were hired to teach graphic design on a school for advertising he had a problem, because although he had been designing magazines, websites, flyers and ads for companies big and small, he did not know how to do it. Everything was done by intuition.

He had no education in design or anything else for that matter, neither intellectual knowledge of how to design, so in order to provide his students with useful guidelines for designing, he deduced basic rules from his own way of doing it.

There may never before have been published anything about how to connect with the empty breath and float in the bliss coming from being indifferent to the image the brain fabricate of you as someone definitive.

Regarding the hack ´The empty breath´ and the bliss of not believing to be someone he is in the same situation again. He has no so-called spiritual knowledge from ancient scripts, that he can refer to in order to explain how one should connect with the empty breath, so that the image fabricated by the brain of us as somebody definitive is ignored and what is left is the bliss of not believing to be someone definitive.

He has no ingenious system for this himself. In fact he does not even know, when he is connected with the empty breath, because the connectedness is a state of not-knowing.* Yet not trying to know is probably the reason, that he is not always hanging onto the awareness of being someone definitive and thus not hiding that to be someone is a fantasy made from empty space.****

Thus he is not different from the empty breath, whenever the image fabricated by the brain of him as someone definitive is ignored, and therefore automatically connected with it. This is not possible, however, for more than 20 minutes, 45 at most, at a time if he wants to remain as if he is in a world where there seems to be more than one, because the brain needs to renew the image of him as someone being there at regular intervals in order to not fall into coma.

When you are not connected with the empty breath, and therefore not are in the blissful state of not-knowing* but in the stressful awareness of being someone definitive in a world where there seems to be more than one, the empty breath is still connected with you.

As it is indifferent to the substantial world where we believe to be, it cannot see what stresses us, but it grasps, you we stressed from believing to be somebody in the low-frequency and apparently substantial world that the brain fabricate from the sensations that seems to hit the outer senses.

When you are not connected with the empty breath, it is still connected with you, so that it can function as an automatic gear change between the outer and inner senses, and make the abstractness in the world of the inner senses the base from the world of the outer senses is perceived.

So to take the edge out of the stress in the low-frequency world of the outer senses, it synchs the outer senses with the inner ones. Not because the world of the inner senses is more peaceful, but because it is such a high-frequency world that the speedy energy, which seems stressful in the world of the outer senses, does not appear to be speedy anymore.

Going with the flow you cannot know what and where you are or where to go, so if you want to be someone definitive achieving something specific, you will prefer the stress it is to not go with the flow.  Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

That being said, you might not want to go with the flow of this, as that may not result in you achieving what you were stressing to get, so if you instead insist in holding onto the stress in order to attain what you set off to accomplish, the empty breath will back off.

Alexius, for example, set off writing this hack with thoughts circling around the empty breath being in a constant connection with you, so that it is able to automatically synch the outer and inner senses and therefore both uphold your wellbeing as someone definitive while undoing the belief, that you are someone at all.

But going with the flow this hack mostly became about you connecting with the empty breath, and therefore feel the bliss coming from being nobody in a state not-knowing. It is by the way not thoughts as such that prevents you from going with the flow, but the desire to use them to accomplish something specific.

Yet, when not attached to the result of your desire, going for it may be part of the flow – just like it probably was part of the flow for Alexius to start off writing this hack, as if it was mostly about synching the outer and inner senses, because having them synched he started writing about a state of not-knowing and how the bliss of it feels (see What does ´the empty breath´ feel like?).

In other words, do not let concepts of right and wrong prevent you from going with the flow. The flow of the sun, for example, is to go down before it goes up. And then again, this is not actually what happens. It is part of the deception of believing to be someone definitive, because this belief implies the world revolves around us. It also seems that while going with the flow of writing the hack ´The empty breath´ and the bliss of not believing to be someone Alexius was inspired by the empty breath to deduct different ways of using the stress, that arises from the belief that you are someone definitive, as a take-off to the empty breath, and thus be in the bliss that it is to momentarily have this belief undone. The empty breath can feel like it is a swing of nothingness making the body expand and contract in order for it to breath in and out. It is like chakras and everything else sensed colourless until the brain ascribe it a colour. But as the brain cannot conceive empty space without falling into coma, the empty breath is not ascribed with a colour. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

What is called the empty breath in Alexius´ Enlightened Non Teachings may be similar to what Christianity calls ´The Holy Breath´**, because ´holy´ basically means whole, and the empty breath is the whole of nothingness.

If you do not interfere with breathing at all, the swing of the empty breath is brought to you on its own accord (see the paragraph of the same name in the article What does ´the empty breath´ feel like?)

It functions as the meeting point between the inner and outer senses. And it is also a preliminary stage of the vibration symbolised by Aum***, which moves so fast that there is no more swing to feel. Just a transparent tingling of nothingness.

If this is what you want, do not try to be a good student by focussing on Alexius´ Enlightened Non Teachings and spend time on processing them, but read them very fast and then forget everything you have read, so that you are free to go with the flow as an empty vessel for the empty breath.

Only those believing to be somebody have a need to do things in their own pace and therefore enhancing this belief.

The need to connect with the empty breath in your own pace or to have time to process what you read comes from the ego, because it needs time to twist everything into its established concepts of spirituality (see Where to find the bliss of ´the empty breath´). So do not read to understand the empty breath but to go on a trip without knowing what and where it is,**** which you by the way never is gonna know, as the connectedness with the empty breath is a state of not-knowing.*

It is a waste of time to read about the empty breath to become more wise or spiritual, as just like what you appear to be it is nothing but empty space (see the article ´The empty breath´ is empty space and so is what you believe to be). Hence the less you know about something, the less nothing is hiding you already are connected with the empty breath.****

In other words, you have to leave your comfort zone of knowing your way around**** – in this case of knowing how to connect with the empty breath and what it feels like. Leaving your comfort zone is not a matter of fighting or transforming your conditioned behaviour, but willingness to undo the belief that seems to make this conditioning possible, namely the belief that you are someone definitive.

Not believing to be somebody, there is nobody to hide that the fantasy of a world where there seems to be more than one is made from empty space .

When this willingness is present, nobody is tempted to believe, that the experience fabricated by the brain about you being someone definitive in a world where there seems to be more than one is real.

But although you know such a world is virtual, it still appears to be there – just like within the context of it, the appearance of a world in a video game remains the same regardless your knowledge about it. Yet the power it seems to have over you crumbles, the more you do not believe the world is real (see Where to find the bliss of ´the empty breath´).

Neither is there anything to hide the empty breath is no different from the empty space of you, which may be experienced in the ways described in the article What does ´the empty breath´ feel like?. But do not count on it. Just like you and Alexius may have different experiences of the exact same cup of tea, you may also appear to have different experiences of the empty breath. Besides that, the main attribute of it is indifference, and that is hardly an experience.

Not trying to experience anything specific but including everything as it is brings about a perfect moment. Nothing is missing or wrong, since the apparent differences in the world where you appear to be is not perceived to make a difference (see hack #3.2 Inclusiveness is a perfect moment).

The bliss that comes from a perfect moment, a glimpse of enlightenment or the empty breath is most likely the same, as they all are states of not-knowing, that are ignited in the second before the brain finishes its image of you as someone having a conscious experience and lasts as long as this image is ignored (see Where to find the bliss of ´the empty breath´).

This does not apply to the enlightenment of that which is one, as it totally erases the memory of ever having appeared to be someone definitive (see hack #4-7.2 From the inner senses through a black hole into that which is one).

Furthermore it may not be the empty breath that is uncovered through the willingness not to uphold the belief in being someone definitive. It could be the enlightenment of that which is one or glimpses of it (see the article A reintroduction to the inner senses, the enlightenment of that which is one and glimpses of it), or a perfect moment (see hack #3.2 Inclusiveness is a perfect moment), or pretending to be someone, since what you to be you are not (see hack #1.5 Pretending to be a person).

Implementing any of the duality hacks cancels out the apparent difference between the opposing sides of the contrasts making up the experience of a world where there seems to be more than one, so that there is no foundation for the belief in separation. As that leads to a state of not-knowing, you go there without knowing what it is.*

In other words, this is not a journey you reserve and plan to start on a certain day in order to reach an expected destination. It starts when you are willing to not believe, that you are someone definitive and therefore eager to apply whatever duality hack you feel guided to – whether that is one or more of them and through the reading of Alexius´ Enlightened Non Teachings from start to finish or by browsing them.

The ego will probably insist, that Alexius´ Enlightened Non Teachings are too heavy and that you deserve something more merry. And if what you want is to remain as someone definitive, you should stick to the advise of the ego, as it is a prerequisite for connecting with the empty breath, that you are willing to undo the belief in being someone definitive.

Long story short, there is nothing to know, as that requires more than one and there is no more than that which is one, since it is formless and therefore endless. Appearing to be in a world where there seems to be more than one, however, there appears to be much to know. Nevertheless there is only one thing to know in regards to the reality of that which is one, namely that there is nothing to know.****

When in a state of not knowing – induced for example by connecting with the empty breath – there is nobody to acknowledge the experience, that the brain fabricate of you as someone definitive having specific thoughts and feelings. So read Alexius´ Enlightened Non Teachings and apply one or more of the duality hacks until everything you have learned to know is unlearned,**** and there is nobody to acknowledge that the person constantly fabricated by the brain thinks and feels something, wherefore all that is left is the bliss of not believing to be anyone.

When you connect with the empty breath, the belief in being someone definitive is momentarily undone. Hence a state of not-knowing* where nobody is aware of how blissful it is to not  believe being someone definitive, until returning to that belief and vague memories of it pop up.

When you have had even the slightest connection with the empty breath, it remains connected with you, whether it is mutual or not, because it does not know, that you believe to be the self the brain has fabricated as if you are a separated creature and therefore to be apart from it.

Yet it senses the stress that this belief seems to cause in the low-frequency world of the outer senses, so it automatically synchs it with the high-frequency world of the inner senses, wherefore speedy thoughts and feelings are not felt to cause stress but indifference.

Should you be wondering who it is that is ignoring the image fabricated by the brain as if you are someone definitive, the answer is that nobody is doing this, because there is nobody in a world where there seems to be more than one – just like within the context of such a world, there is nobody doing anything in a dream somebody there appear to have, because a dream is made of nothing.

****) This does not mean that you should avoid learning and knowing something, or being and having more when it comes to the practical aspects of appearing to be someone definitive inside a body. Yet there is no need to think about that, when connected with the empty breath, because its indifference to differences makes it impossible to make choices, so you are naturally drawn to whatever is best for you in the sense of having the belief in being someone definitive undone, while enjoying it to its fullest.
