The most exciting aspect of ´the empty breath´, namely indifference, is not exciting but liberating

The inner breath can be felt in many exciting ways, but its most exciting way is actually not exciting, because you hardly feel it, as due to the indifference of the inner breath the apparent differences of the world is not perceived to make a difference, and so the foundation for separation is gone. The empty breath can be felt in many exciting ways. The most exciting way, namely indifference, is not very exciting though, because it is not felt at all, as due to the indifference of the empty breath the apparent differences of the world is not perceived to make a difference, and so the foundation for feeling anything, namely separation, is gone. Physically speaking the empty breath is best felt when air is coming in and out through the nose, but not as if it is you who breathe, but as if it is an ´engine´ inside the body that first expands the abdomen, then the belly and lastly the chest. Next there is a short break and lastly it goes the other way to contract the body. And so on. It feels as if the nose is not used to breathe and like there is hardly any air coming in and out of it – as if the breath remains within the body.

Please be aware, that this is not a factual description of how breathing is carried out when the empty breath is in the driving seat, but a description of how it feels. It is not something you should try replicate by deep breaths and whatnot. In fact it has nothing to do with taking a deep breath, as you do something to take it. The whole concept of the empty breath is that you do nothing.

Doing Nordic Walking – or rather following the flow of it – may help you in doing nothing. It may also help you to expose the defence mechanisms against going with the flow of the empty breath, that you have built up in the body.

It is probably not the connection itself with for example a Fitbit watch that excites you, but how it motivates you to exercise and consequently feel better. Likewise it is not necessarily the connection with the empty breath that makes you feel good, but rather that its indifference undoes the belief, that it is possible to be someone definitive in a world defined by time and space, so that its apparent differences do not seem to cause you problems. When you are connected with a Fitbit watch for example, you do not get an exceptional feeling from the connection itself, but rather from the data you are receiving. Likewise you probably do not feel excited, when you are connected with the empty breath, as its radiance of indifference makes you indifferent to the apparent differences in a world defined by time and space. In other words, separation does not seems to matter and so the foundation for feeling anything specifically is gone.

It is not important, however, to undo all these defence mechanisms. Having the willingness to do so is enough to feel the connectedness with the empty breath. Neither is it important in which of the ways described in the previous article What does ´the empty breath´ feel like? that you feel it or if you feel another way.

Because though there certainly are very exciting ways to feel the empty breath, the most exciting way to feel it – or rather not feel it – is simply to follow its consistent flow of indifference, because this sets you free from feeling that you are someone definitive.

The inner breath makes you indifferent to differences and therefore also to feeling anything specific, as without differences there is no separation and without separation no basis for feeling something. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The empty breath makes you indifferent to differences, and therefore also to favour a special feeling like bliss and whatnot, because without differences there is no separation and without separation no basis for feeling something specifically. The graphic is grabbed from Ello.

NOTE: This article, that is part of hack #4-7.4 ´The empty breath´ automatically synchs the outer and inner senses, is just a reminder, that the purpose of the exciting ways of feeling the empty breath described in the pervious article What does ´the empty breath´ feel like? is to make you indifferent to a world defined by time and space. When those ways have served their purpose, you are indifferent to feeling excited or anything at all.
