Enlightened Bulletproof Coffee

If you do not know Bulletproof Coffee, you can read the official explanation here and the official way of making it here. According to the inventor of Bulletproof Coffee, its purpose is to become and do more. But that is not the purpose of the enlightened version. Nothing happens when you drink than you drink it. And that is good enough.

If you just want the recipe for Enlightened Bulletproof Coffee you can skip On a personal note further below. And if you only want to read about Alexius and his Enlightened Non-Teachings, you should jump to that note.

Ingredients for Enlightened Bulletproof Coffee:

Directions for Enlightened Bulletproof Coffee:

  1. While cooking the water in a kettle with adjustable water temperature (e.g. Cuisinart CPK17-USA / CPK18E-Europe****) add first allspice, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and ginger and then coffee,***** to a French Press Cafetière (e.g. Bodum).******
  2. Pour the hot water in the Cafetière,******* stir the top and steep for 3-5 minutes covered with the plunger. Then stir the top again and wait about a minute until the coffee has reached the bottom of the Cafetière (this is very important), where after you gently press the plunger down and wait a minute before adding it to the jug, that has been prepared in accordance with point 3.
  3. While the coffee is being brewed add Bacopa, cayenne (or vanilla), ginger, Ghee, maple syrup or D-Ribose, oil, orange flavour and eventually Bliss Alchemy to a jug (e.g. from Rösle).
  4. Add the coffee to the jug and blend for 20-30 seconds on medium speed with a handheld mixer (e.g. Rösle or Braun)
  5. Pour the blended coffee in a thermo-glass (e.g. from Bodum) and enjoy.

*) You can of course also grind the coffee beans yourself with, e.g. De’Longhi KG79 Professional Burr Grinder or Porlex Tall Hand Coffee Grinder, and use beans from e.g. 360° rundum ehrlich.

*) If you are new to consuming fats in more substantial amounts, you should probably start with less oil than indicated here and slowly increase it. You could also use Ox Bile to help the absorption of fats. Yet you may be a type, whose body rather stores than burns fat. If that is the case, you better stay away from a diet with lots of fats but stick to one of those low-fat diets, that was in fashion some years ago.

****) Gourmet Tea Advanced Automatic may be the choice for tea lovers.

*****) Should this mixture turns out as slimy, when you clean the French Press Cafetière, you are probably using real cinnamon because that does not mix well with water.

******) It may be best to avoid French Press Cafetière in stainless steel, because every time the metal plunger is pushed down, metal is scratch off the sides. And as the metal in all of them comes from China, you probably not only get metal in your coffee but plenty of toxins. The metal in Bodum Columbia also comes from China but not from a no-name factory, and since the edges of the plunger are BPA free plastic, there is no metal scratched off when pushing the plunger down. Hence this model could be the best choice if you want to have a French Press Cafetière in stainless steel. Be aware though that the patented lid does not prevent it from spilling and some coffee is wasted because the liquid is trapped beneath the plunger. However, that seems to be a problem in all the other recent versions of Bodum French Press Cafetière. Yet Bodum Columbia is easier to clean, and the filter works better than in the other models from Bodum.

*******) In case you like your coffee to be less bitter, acidity, gritty, richer and bolder than French Press Cafetière, you may prefer the more subtle Pour-Over Coffee. See French Press versus Pour-Over-Coffee. If you are an interactive kind of person, you may like to use Bodum for this and Bona Vita for cooking the water, but if you want things to happen automatically Oxo may be your choice.

NOTES:

  • Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings has no affiliation with the companies mentioned above. Some of them are located in Europe, as that is where Alexius appears to be.
  • Bulletproof Coffee is an ancient idea that is upgraded and made famous by Dave AspreyEnlightened Bulletproof Coffee is inspired by him.
  • The use of ground coffee instead of whole beans, powdered and not whole or fresh spices in Enlightened Bulletproof Coffee is not due to a particular health philosophy but that Alexius prefers making his coffee as comfortable as possible. If you have the time and energy to make Enlightened Bulletproof Coffee from the ground, by all means, go for it.

Enlightened Bulletproof Coffee may taste like Middle-Eastern Coffee. Do not know, since I have never tasted coffee from there. Neither do I care if they are comparable, because I am not into replicating the taste of other cultures or memories of the past, but to enjoy the taste of this moment.  Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE:
I have never tasted coffee from the Middle-East, so I do not know if the taste of Enlightened Bulletproof Coffee can be compared to the coffee from there. Neither do I care, because I am not into replicating a specific taste from a particular culture or from memory. I prefer the flavour of the present.

See my articles Go with the flow and How to uncover the formlessness of that which is one about how comparison fences off the experiencing the moment as it is.

In other words, the orange flavour and the spices are added to the coffee, because that is the way I like it as of writing this article. End of story and thus also the end of the belief in being what memories seemed to have turned me into.

If you like to read about how it is not only a myth getting fat from eating fats but that you become someone definitive from appearing to be in a world defined by time and space check out my article You cannot be in a world where there seems to be more than one, because that which is you is no different from that which is one.

Regarding the fat in Enlightened Bulletproof Coffee, just like eating greens does not make you green, you do not get fat from eating fats. That is if the fat is consumed in a way that makes it easy for the body to burn it, which is accomplished following the guidelines of, for example, the paleo or bulletproof diet. You may be a type, however, whose body rather stores than burn fat. In that case, you better stay away from diets like paleo and bulletproof and stick with one of the low-fat diets, which were in fashion some years ago.

You are not what you eat, but rather what you believe to be. Yet you are not even that, because the reality is that which is one, and it takes more than one to believe something. In other words, what you believe to be is fencing of that which is real. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

»When you dig into molecules, and the states of ion channels, enzymes, transcription programs, cells, synapses, and whole networks of neurons, you come to realise that there is no one place in the brain where memories are stored,« says Kukushkin. This is because of a property called plasticity, the feature of neurons that memorise. The memory is the system itself. From an article in Wired.

This recipe is not part of the concept that you are what you eat. On the contrary. You are not what you eat. You are what is a product of the brain, and as that is the storeroom for all the memories compiled into what you appear to be you, you are the brain.

In my articles All experiences are equally unreal and Where to find the bliss of ´the empty breath´ you can read about how the sum of selected memories makes up what you appear to be,

Nothing can change the way this person initially was produced by the brain. Neither is it needed, as long as you follow its instructions because the function of the brain is to make you feel good, so that is what you rewarded with when you follow it. So much indeed that you feel cheerful no matter what thoughts and feelings pass by. That is why none of them last.

But if you override the way of the brain by seeking out specific thoughts and feelings, that you hold onto in an attempt to build a better version of yourself, you disassociate yourself from it. Hence the brain cannot reward you with joy anymore, neither can it punish you with sadness, although that feeling seems to the result of you being on your own. But that is only because you are lost without the guidance of the brain, as it has constructed the world where you appear to be.

None of the ideas presented by Eckhart Tolle, Deepak Chopra and similar new agers – for example listening to silence, living in the now, coming from the heart and whatnot – can get you out of this loneliness, as they are all based on the belief, that there is something bigger, higher and better than the self fabricated by the brain.

Yet there is nothing else than what the brain produces. In fact, there is not even that, because this self that it places in a world where there seems to be more than one is created from out of nothing, as there is no more than that which is one since it is formless and therefore endless. Read more about that in hack #4.3 The basic self versus the special one or hack #4.5 ´The empty breath´ and the bliss of not believing to be someone.

A world where there seems to be more than one is make-believe – just like the experience of more than one in this image because there is nobody in it. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Hence any memory and therefore what and where you appear to be is make-believe. In other words, all experiences of unconditional love, compassion, higher self, god, soul and whatnot are illusions enhancing the belief in separation and thus the sense of suffering.

From this follows that Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings is make-believe, but as they do not enhance the belief in being special and thus separated from others but undoes the belief that you are someone at all, there is nobody to suffer.

PS: Whatever you think, you just read is not what I wrote. Even though you long ago have learned to read, that was not what you were taught to do. Instead, you were trained to interpret letters combined in a specific way to have a special meaning. But while the combination of the letters making up the word white, for example, in China symbolises death, it is not so in the Western world, where death is symbolised by black. See All thoughts are meaningless.

The value attached to the word ´I´, as if that is you someone definitive, is basically what brings about the experience of problems, because that which is you is no different from that which is one and since that is formless and therefore endless it is not possible to be someone definitive. See also Searching is a trap set by Google and the ego and Be happy you are nothing, because reality has no room for something.

So words have a different meaning in different cultures, even within a specific culture. Power, for example, may be met with great respect by some and by others with disgust depending on what and where you perceive yourself to be in society and your present state of mind. See Eyes do not see, they translate.

That being said, the above does not mean that you and/or the world needs to change. As there is no more than that which is one, it is not possible to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, so what and where you appear to be and have does not mean anything. Thus it is only the belief, that it means something, that needs to be undone. See No wrongdoings are possible when using the duality hacks of Alexius.

Kind regards
Alexius
