Everything fabricated – like for example this illustration of a yin-yang sign – is supposed to have a unique appearance. Hence, the experience of it supplies the belief that you are somebody. But this is not the purpose of the empty breath. On the contrary, its purpose is to undo the belief that you are someone at all, which it does by helping you see that the apparent differences in the world do not make a difference, so it does not matter whether anything appears perfect or not. When people tell you to slow down and relax via mindfulness or whatnot, they sabotage the fastest way to take it easy because that comes from not stopping the speed of thoughts and feelings. Hence, you lose control of them and therefore no longer can prevent them from igniting a take-off into the empty breath (read more about that here) that synchronises the low-frequency world of the outward-facing senses with the high-frequency world of the inward-facing senses, so speedy thoughts and feelings are not felt to cause stress but tranquillity.

At times, however, you may feel so angry about somebody that you do not want this to happen because it will make you indifferent and thus without the anger needed to punish them. So you prevent the aggressive energy inside of you from igniting a take-off into the empty breath by projecting it on those judged to have caused it. But doing so, you first and foremost punish yourself because we receive what we give (read more about that here).

This goes on until you do not project your feelings onto others but keep them in you so the unedited energy can ignite a take-off into the empty breath.

The empty breath undoes your conditioned belief in being someone definitive because it sets in before there is a conscious recognition of being someone definitive. Read more about it here.

The connectedness with the empty breath – either through surfing its waves, being in its transparent sound, the swing of it, or the sparkling force behind these rhythmic movements (read more about that here) – is not a feeling that can be fabricated like for example a romantic evening generated by candles, special clothes, music and red wine. On the contrary, it is felt when instead of busy trying to produce a specific feeling, the frenetic energy is used as a take-off into the empty breath.

Focus, control, balance and any kind of adjustment are counterproductive regarding igniting a take-off into the empty breath because it has no specific form or centre and moves on its own accord.

The swing of the inner breath may be experienced abruptly – like in this animation but probably a lot slower – in a s body with muscles problems from for example psoas or diafragma. There is no reason though trying to make it swing more smoothly by improving the condition of the body. The inner breath always adjust itself to the current condition of the body, so no matter how it moves it results in the same joy, providing you are not looking to be perfect.

In a sick body, the swing of the empty breath might be experienced to come in bursts – a bit like in this animation but probably slower. But no matter how restricted the swing of it is experienced, the connection with it will always entail indifference, so if you stick with that, the way it is experienced makes no difference. Not feeling the swing of the empty breath as described in the previous article, What does ‘the empty breath’ feel like? can be due to trying too hard, focussing on it, or assuming the experience of it will make you feel something extraordinary. In these cases, you try to fabricate a specific feeling yourself, but the sense of the empty breath cannot be made up, nor is it something definitive.

The same applies if you erupt the natural flow by taking deep breaths, shortening, pushing or holding it back. This will make you appear to be the master of it and thus enhance the sense of being an autonomous creature with a will of its own instead of a medium for the empty breath.

Basically, however, there is only one reason for not feeling the empty breath: you want to feel it, which is only possible when you believe you are something instead of nothing. In other words, to feel the empty breath, you must step aside.

Since the empty breath has no personality, it has no expression of its own. So if its rhythmic flow is experienced to be weaker when you appear to be sick or about to die, it is because its rhythm constantly adjusts to what and where you believe in being. Yet the operator of the empty breath (see the paragraph of the same name in the article What does ‘the empty breath’ feel like?), which is the non-rhythmic energy behind the rhythm of the empty breath, remains the same and is also experienced like that if it is that aspect of it you are in touch with.

In other words, if the transparent non-rhythmic energy of the empty breath is only partially experienced, when the body seems to be out-of-order, the problem is not the empty breath, but that you do not want to experience it fully, when there seem to be problems with the condition of the body, because that would render it unimportant and thus question your belief in being inside it.

This does not mean that you should not take care of the body and have it checked by a qualified health care professional. You also bring your car to a garage for a check-up, even though it is not you.

In the flow of the empty breath, you automatically multitask because it does not know the concept of focusing on something specific. So if not feeling the empty breath, multitasking may pave the way.

The less you believe to be substantial, the more you will feel the non-rhythmic transparent energy of the empty breath.

There are several established ways of feeling somebody else when you believe to be someone substantial in a tangible world. But there are no ways to feeling the empty breath other than to momentarily stop believing you are someone definitive.

When you do not know anything, there is not somebody to be sad or happy – nor anything else. Thus there is nothing but emptiness, which is pure bliss.

Not being aware of something, there is nothing to make perfect. Consequently, you are not benumbed in an experience of yourself as someone definitive but in the flow of nothing.

Feeling the empty breath is like receiving a new gift every moment. However, there is no way to know what the present will be before receiving it, neither do you need to know, because you are in a state of not-knowing.

Even though the empty breath seems to produce a constant rhythm of expansion and contraction in the body, your experience of it may not be so. And you are right. It is not consistent. It has no such need. Only those who believe to be somebody definitive has a need to be consistent, and since the empty breath does not believe to be anything at all, it does not need to uphold a persistent image of itself.

The empty breath can be compared to the cats in the home of Alexius. They go around as it pleases them, but he can always count on them to greet him when he gives a call.

Likewise, he can always count on the empty breath. Even though it solely moves on its own accord, it is always to be felt in one way or the other. Maybe it is experienced to be going up and down, on a single wave in one of the circles in the empty breath, several times in a row, whereafter it is felt to be the swing of it inside of his head, and as if he is surfing both of the yin-yang looking waves in one of the other circles of the empty breath. In the previous article, What does ‘the empty breath’ feel like, you can read more about these experiences and the composition of the empty breath in endless circles.

After igniting a take-off into the empty breath, he mostly lands in its speedy and chaotic energy at the root of it, which feels like freedom compared to the rigid world of the outward-facing senses. Going to bed, it often is the transparency of its sound that comes to him. But first of all, he simply feels the indifference of the empty breath, and since that means the apparent differences in the world does not appear to make a difference, it is hardly a feeling.

If you do not fence off the empty breath via a positive perception of yourself in which everything judged to be negative has been excluded, whatever you seem to feel will be interpreted by the indifference of the empty breath. Consequently, feeling happy or sad makes no difference. Not in the sense that happiness and sadness feel the same, but in the sense that the apparent difference makes no difference.

When you are connected with a Fitbit watch, for example, it is not from the connection itself you get a fantastic feeling, but from the data it gives you.

Likewise, you may not feel excited about the connection with the empty breath, as its radiance of indifference makes you indifferent to the apparent differences in a world defined by time and space. But as this makes the experience of it seems like nothing instead of something, you are in the bliss of emptiness.

Doing Nordic Walking, or rather going with its flow, could be beneficial for you regarding not doing something yourself. It may also help you expose the defence mechanisms you have built up in the body against going with the flow of the empty breath.

This is not to say that all these defence mechanisms must come to an end to feel the empty breath. Having the willingness to not be somebody but nobody is what makes you feel the empty breath. Neither is it important in which of the ways described in the previous article, What does ‘the empty breath’ feel like, that it is felt, or if it is felt in another way.

Although these ways of feeling the empty breath definitely are fascinating, the most exciting way to feel it – or rather not feeling it – is simply to follow its consistent flow of indifference. Since that makes you indifferent to the experience of differences in the world where you appear to be, there does not seem to be anybody feeling anything but the bliss from being indifferent to the belief in being someone.

The nature of the empty breath is not to provide happiness but indifference, and since that releases you from the boundaries of a world defined by time and space, it may feel as if you are in a merry-go-round world.

Feelings, however, never last, so if you hang onto this feeling instead of going with the flow of being indifferent to what you feel, your merry-go-round world will be replaced by its contrast, namely a world of sadness. This is only so because you mistook the empty breath for the giver of happiness instead of indifference, so if you stick with the latter, it makes no difference if you feel happy or sad, which is very blissful.

The most exciting aspect of the empty breath cannot be felt because it is indifference.

At first, it may feel as if the empty breath is too slow to supply you with enough air for breathing. But when you do not try to handle the flow of it, which may or may not be adjusted to the physical breath, everything is fine as it is.

Perhaps it feels as if you do not have enough room for the empty breath or that it results in more pain than joy if you in the past have avoided the awareness of unpleasant feelings by projecting them onto obscure parts of the body.

In that case, fear, traumas and worries seem to reside inside the body, which is often felt in the psoas and its corresponding muscle, the diaphragm. Since the latter, in terms of muscles, is the primary mover of the breath, it may have become too weak or stiff to freely move with the flow of the empty breath, which, therefore, seems to make you tense and not relaxed. But if you do not look for a specific way of feeling the empty breath and instead go with its indifference, it does not matter whether the empty breath seems to result in a smooth expansion and contraction of the body or not.

Should the body seems to get better when you feel connected with the empty breath, it is not due to that – at least not directly – because it does not know of something that needs improvement. Indirectly though, it is due to the empty breath. In its presence, you are not in your default mode of doing something about something, so the body is not disturbed by the perception that you are the master of it.

That the body’s condition is linked to what you think is like assuming there is a connection between you and the world in a movie you are watching. This connection is entirely imaginative. The world in the film is unaffected by the thoughts or feelings you appear to have about it, and it is self-deception when you imagine it has caused them. The movie does not have such powers.

In other words, if you perceive that pain or sickness in the body has been caused by the mind, the soul or something else, not physical, it is an idea you project on the body. And this idea can only be corrected where it was conceived, namely in the mental sphere.

Trying to correct it in the body is frustrating because the problem is not there, although it probably is felt in the body, and there may seem to be symptoms. Unfortunately, this is generally perceived as proof of a connection between the body and mind and/or soul instead of a warning against believing there is such connection. Fortunately, the empty breath is indifferent to whatever you seem to think or feel, and so are you when connected with it. This does not mean it fixes the body. Still, it liberates it from the sick ideas you have forced upon it so that the biological system can take care of the body without your interference but maybe with a bit of help from a qualified health care professional. Hence you can correct your ideas where you made them. If you are used to projecting them onto the body, you may have a hard time figuring out what is what. No worries. Joining the empty breath, you see everything experienced as it does, namely as nothing.

What does ´the empty breath´ feel like? [draft]

The inner breath is not restricted to be felt as a specific form, neither to only be felt inside. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

As the empty breath is not something definitive, it cannot be experienced in a specific way. Yet, it can be felt in an undefinable way anywhere within its non-definitive framework – whether that appears to be inside or outside the body – but never consistently as the same, although it is always there.

The empty breath can be felt in many ways within its non-definable framework of a ball-like thingy that passes through the head – or above it – and the stomach or below it. Yet, it is not experienced concerning the body, nor inside or outside. This is not because everything is perceived to at one when connected with the empty breath, but that the experience of something is perceived to be nothing (read more about that here).

Having an out-of-body experience is based on the belief that you are someone in a body, which is the opposite of the experience that comes from being connected with the empty breath, as it undoes the belief that you are someone in a body. Read more about that here.

Hence the connectedness with the empty breath is not an out-of-body experience but a no-body experience. However, this does not mean that you do not take care of the body, your beloved ones, and whatnot when connected with the empty breath, but that it makes no difference if doing so seems to pay off or not.

In the connectedness with the empty breath there is nothing that appears to be disturbing, but trying to connect with it everything seems disturbing, because the purpose of trying is delaying, so you want to be disturbed.

The inner breath has no definitive center or anything else in a fixed position, so your experience of it may be different from mine. Maybe you primarily experience it in the stomach, in the chest or both inside and outside of your body within the non definitive borders of a ball. It may change from moment to moment, as  – unlike this image – it is not static. This image however illustrates when all its movements are experienced simultaneously, which feels as if the everything stands still.

The empty breath has no definitive centre or border or anything else that is in a fixed position. Everything is constantly moving, so the experience changes from moment to moment as if it is in the stomach, chest, or inside and outside the body. So if your experience differs from the descriptions in this article, go with the flow as it comes to you.

Feelings are subjective
If you are future-minded, the empty breath might be felt to come from somewhere in front of you, whereas it probably is felt to arrive from the back if you are concerned about the past. And if you are into the concepts like living in the now, being centred and balanced, it might be felt as if it has a fixed centre. In other words, the experience of the empty breath is coloured by your conditioning.

This is not a problem for the empty breath, because contrary to you, it has no need to be acknowledged in a particular way. So whether you experience it to be in the stomach, the chest, inside or outside the body, it carries out its one and only purpose, which is to make you indifferent to the apparent different experiences in the world you believe to be.

The empty breath is indifferent to all the apparent differences of the world, so the more you connect with it, the more you adapt to this indifference and the less you want to be someone who makes a difference.

Since the empty breath is not static, the experience of it may change from moment to moment, and it may differ from those described in this article. No worries. Connecting with it is not about doing something specific to feel something definitive but going with the flow. Only when you want to make a difference, you must do ´the right thing´.

A basic intro to the non-definitive shape of the empty breath
The empty breath is modelled like an egg-shaped ball with lots of oval circles moving inside it, but contrary to what you see in the illustration to the right, it does not have a definitive centre or border. Nor do the circles inside of it, and there are so many so close together that there is no space between them. In the emptiness of each circle, there is two yin-yang like waves. You cannot see this in the simplified illustration to the right, but there is a simulation of this in the second image from here.

That the empty breath has a non-definitive form does not only mean that its edges are blurry but that neither its size nor shape is constant. It may grow bigger and smaller here and there so that it momentarily feels to be more pear-shaped than egg-shaped, for example.

As there is no up and down in the empty breath, the most significant part of the pear-shaped version of it might be in the top as well as in the bottom, or on the sides, or anywhere in between. And as the apparent centre of each one of the circles, appearing to be inside the non-definitive ball of the empty breath, is floating around, there are many no fixed centres.

Even though there appear to be an endless amount of diffused shaped circles inside the non-definitive boundaries of the empty breath, and they are moving in each their own direction with each their own yin-yang like formed waves moving inside of them, they are actually fused into one movement of two yin-yang like waves rolling in all directions – at bit like in the animation in the paragraph The swing of the empty breath or in the two last animations of this article.

But as that is very difficult to comprehend in a world where we are conditioned to divide reality into more than one, most will probably not feel the totality of the empty breath, but one of the many circles that seems to make it up. No worries. It is not about perfection but going with the flow as it comes to you.

The empty breath has no specific centre, and though it seems to consists of many different movements in each their own size and shape, everything is actually fused into one single move. As this can be hard to comprehend in a world where there seems to be more than one, it is most likely easier to experience just one of its aspects at a time.

This could be like going in a circle going from the stomach around the back of the body to the top of the head when breathing in, and from there in a circular movement in front of the body and back to the stomach when breathing out. The direction, however, does not matter. As already said, it is all about going with the flow. So if that seems to go the opposite way, by all means, go that way.

The flow can also be in a circle, about the same diameter as above, that instead goes from the abdomen to the throat or rectum to the heart. You can expand the diameter so it goes from the abdomen to a point above the head or from the rectum to a point further above the head.

No matter where you perceive the empty breath to be located, it is the same emptiness you experience a second before the brain processes it into an experience of something perceived to be substantial (read more about that here). As the emptiness of the expanded circle metaphorically speaking goes from hell to heaven, you may feel frightened or spaced out if you get stuck in one of those extremes.

Going with the flow of the circular movement in one of the above circles feels like you are surfing two yin-yang like waves inside the empty breath. But this is just one of the ways to experience the empty breath. Below is a short introduction to them and then a more detailed description of each of them.

Be aware, though, feeling the empty breath, as described in this article, is only possible to the extent that you do not wish to be or have more spiritually, mentally, emotionally or materialistically because the empty breath has not anything to give but the sheer bliss of nothing.

A basic intro to the ways of feeling the empty breath
Sensing the operator of the empty breath (see the below paragraph of the same name) or the indifference of it (check out the section The empty breath is not the giver of joy and happiness but indifference in the article What is ´the empty breath´ about?) is a state of not-knowing in which you seem to be floating on clouds of bliss. In contrast, the state of not-knowing coming from the rhythmic flow is more like if you are moved by clouds of bliss.

The rhythmic flow of the empty breath can be heard as a distant sound (see the below paragraph The transparent sound of the empty breath) or felt inside the body (see the below section The swing of the empty breath), or sensed as if nobody is surfing two yin-yang like waves in and outside the body (see the next paragraph).

That being said, these categories are not meant to limit you to experiencing the empty breath in specific ways but to inspire you to experience it in your way.

Each of the non-definable circles inside the non-definable ball of the empty breath – see the previous illustration – consist of two yin-yang like looking waves (but without the two holes) that are not fixated and probably moves in sync with the breath – or rather the breath moves in sync with them. Therefore, it is not so much about following the extraction and contraction of the physical breath but the flow of the empty breath, which may feel like you are surfing the outside of the two yin-yang like waves more or less in sync with the physical breath. The colours in this image only have an illustrative purpose.

Surfing the empty breath
In the above illustration to the right, you see a very simplified simulation of the empty breath in which you cannot see that the number of circles inside it is endless. Nor does it reflect that the empty breath has no definitive border or centre, and each of the circles inside it contains two non-definitive waves like in the above image that can be surfed. Please notice that although the waves look like the two parts of a yin-yang sign, they have no holes. And as they actually are colourless, the colours in this image and all the others in this article only have an illustrative purpose.

When the body is expanded by the breath, you surf the outside of the yellow wave from the stomach and behind the body up in the head. From there, you surf the outside of the blue wave in front of the body down to the abdomen or below it while the breath is contracting the body. That is, if you are sensing the waves in a circle going from the back to the front of the body. See a more detailed explanation of the different possibilities for the placement of the circles containing the waves in the above intro to the empty breath.

Besides surfing the waves in that circle, you can surf the waves in a circle going from the left to the right side of the body and in circles anywhere in between these. No matter what circle you are surfing, most feel the waves in the circular movement outside the body.

It is not needed to be in total sync with the rhythm of the physical expansion and contraction of the body, nor does it matter if part of the circular movement is skipped. What matters is to follow the flow as it comes to you because that makes you forget the physical breath so it can take care of itself without any interruption from you being stressed or trying to inflict it with ideas of balance, tranquillity and whatnot.

Maybe the most joyous way to surf the waves is to go the whole way around one of them and then continue by going the entire way around the other, more or less aligned with the breath extracting and contracting the body. There might be even more joyous ways revealed to you when following the flow.

Alexius has never been surfing in the world of the outward-facing senses, so when he says going with the flow of the two yin-yang like waves in the empty breath feels like surfing, it is an imagination of his.

You may also surf the empty breath in the opposite direction. Going counterclockwise tends to lessen physical awareness, so you would become less interested in returning to a conscious experience of being someone substantial in a tangible world. The same applies if the non-definable edges of the empty breath are not experienced to touch the body but pass it on top of the head and below the abdomen, as that means there is almost no relation to the body when surfing it.

Thus the body is set free (read more about that here), so it can follow its biological system without you trying to unite the physical nature of the body with mental ideas of wellness, which is like trying to blend physical elements with the immaterial ones in a dream or vice versa. It does not work.

You cannot be someone definitive, when going with the flow of the empty breath, so the belief in being someone separated from the formlessness of that which is one is fading out.

Going with the flow without knowing where and why.

Surfing the empty breath to feel good regardless of the physical condition
You will, as already noted, mainly feel the flow of the waves in one of the many circles inside the empty breath. This will probably be in a circle going from the back of the body to the front of it or the other way around. But from there, you can also jump to the waves in another circle or feel them all simultaneously.

As it takes more than one to feel something, it is only in a world where there seems to be more than one that this is possible, so the more the belief in such a world is undone by the empty breath, the less you feel it.

Alexius was not aware of this before writing what the empty breath feels like and, therefore, took a closer look at it. He usually just follows the flow without thinking about direction and whatnot, because in his case, the flow primarily results in the sense of indifference.

It is, however, possible to be more choosy than Alexius is typically. Having worries about the past, or pain in the back, you can choose to be massaged by surfing both sides of the wave behind you and leaving out the one in front of you within a circle of the empty breath that goes from the back to the front of you. Should you want to be grounded, you can surf all the way around a single wave in a circle going from the back to the front of you where the waves are not located like in the above but in the top and bottom of the circle.

The wave you surf, in this case, is the bottom one passing through the abdomen or even lower in the direction from the back to the front of you, or the other way around, or the bottom wave in another circle going from the left to the right side of you, or both of the bottom waves in these circles, or the bottom wave in any one or more circles in between the two others. No reason to memorise this. Just go with the flow.

Just like what you believe to be is nothing, so is the empty breath, but unlike you, it has no need to conceal that by appearing to be something specific. Consequently, there is not something that prevents it from being what and where is most beneficial for you – even under your feet if that is what it takes to make you forget what you believe to be.

Supposing you want to enhance the impulsive or deliberate side of you, you could do this by respectively surfing all the way around the wave to the right and the left in a circle going around the head sideways. In a circle that also goes sidewise but around the chest, you could surf all the way around the wave in front of the chest if it is hollow and seems to restrict the breath. Surfing both waves but only on the outer side of them in a circle going sideways around the head or stomach is excellent in the case of vertigo, eventually combined with surfing the two waves back and forth of you in a circle going from your feet to above the head.

In the case of tight hips, blocked abdomen or spasm in the lower back, you completely surf the wave behind you and then the one in front of you in a circle going sideways in that area, and so on. You could also try surfing in a similar circle where the waves are not behind and in front of you but on the sides. The size of the circle and thus the waves adjust to the need for relaxing these areas. Is sadness released from there, you may feel like crying. If so, forget about the empty breath and take the time to grieve. Then return to the same circle of the empty breath if that is what the flow calls for.

Instead, it may call for surfing a combination of other waves, for example, a wave in front of you in a circle going sideways at the abdomen and a wave in front of you in a circle that does not go sideways but from the head to stomach or the other way. Maybe surfing them simultaneously or perhaps not just one of the waves in the circles but both waves in a circular movement around the abdomen and from the back and front of you – or whatever combination that seems beneficial to you regarding getting through the lockdown.

The empty breath is also beneficial for alleviating allergy symptoms or other symptoms of IBS and COPD, for example. It may not heal these or any other physical sicknesses because the purpose of Alexius´ Duality Hacks is not to heal the body but the sick belief you are in it. This the empty breath does by making you indifferent to being someone. Read more about that here.

In the case of Alexius, the state of his body is not that good, so he speaks from personal experience when he says that due to the indifference of the empty breath, IBS and COPD, for example, are not something he needs to get it over with to feel better, as the discomfort is not perceived to be something but nothing.

If you are not looking to get it right, nothing is wrong or missing. Hence every moment is the perfect moment (hack #4.1 Every moment is the perfect moment). You have no need to get it right if you face your anger, because then it does not seem wrong and you do not have hide it by looking right.

It is not just a rosy story, though, because the transition from perceiving desperation as something to nothing was very upsetting until he did not perceive hopelessness to be wrong but that which set him free. There are many possibilities for using the empty breath. Yet, it is best not to use it but instead be used by it, so going with the flow sets the body free to heal itself. This is why it is brilliant in the case of psychosomatic disorders. However, it is not commendable to catch every detail about the empty breath in this article because an intellectual understanding of it will not help you feel connected with it.

You cannot illustrate the inner breath, as it has no definitive form. This animation, however, may give you an idea about the ´structure´ of the inner breath and the high frequency of its inner movement, which seems to originate from an yin yang like curved line – not just as curved though. It feels like, it is the swing of this floating line that expands and contracts the body, so that it breathes in and out. Unlike an yin yang sign the inner breath is not a flat circle with a curved line, but rather a ball wherein the curved line swings upwards and downwards as well as sideways, forwards and backwards and everything in between. Unfortunately the animation is not able illustrate that, neither how slow the swing of it actually feels in the body. Even though it extremely active inside the ball, the experience of it is that it has all the time in the world to expand and contract the body.

It is impossible to illustrate the swing of the empty breath because it has no definable form or movement. This animation, however, may give you an idea about how the swing of it feels as if it is coming from a non-definitive curved line that is to be compared to the line in between the two forms of a yin-yang sign – but less curved. The swing of this line expands and contracts the body so that it breathes in and out. But unlike in a yin-yang sign, the swing of the empty breath is not inside a flat circle but rather a non-definable ball, wherein there are many non-definable circles with each their own curved line. Depending on where one of these circles are experienced to be located, the swing of the empty breath is experienced to swing upwards and downwards, sideways, forwards and backwards or anywhere in between. Unfortunately, the animation is not really illustrating this, nor that although the swing of it is mighty, the experience of it often is that it is in no hurry to expand and contract the body.

The swing of the empty breath
What is said in the above about surfing the empty breath, generally speaking, also apply to feel the swing of it, except that this is solely felt inside the body, where the movement of the non-definitive curved line between the two waves is sensed as a swing, that extracts and contracts the body in a steady rhythmic flow of breathing in and out. Due to the definitive size of the body, this line is felt less curved and probably also shorter than the line in between the two waves described above.

The steady swing of the empty breath may seem to expand and contract the body slower than when you imagined being in charge of the breathing. Maybe the break in between expansion and contraction also feels too long. But the swing of the empty breath probably feels more powerful – so much indeed that at first, it feels like the body does not have enough room for it.

Just like surfing the empty breath can be done on the waves in any of the circles within the non-definitive border of the empty breath, the swing of it can be felt in the movement of the curved line floating in the middle of any one of these circles.

In other words, the curved line is not just pumping from the back to front in relation to the body but also up and down, from side to side and everywhere in between, which you may sense in the illustration to the left. Though you can feel all these directions simultaneously, it probably is so unfamiliar that you may prefer to feel the swing of the empty breath in one circle at a time.

The shape of the circles with the swing of the empty breath is more like an egg. See the illustration. The experience of the curved line inside ´the egg´ may not seem logical. Breathing in, you may solely experience the swing of the empty breath in the bottom of ´the egg´ and breathing out, in the top of it – or the other way around, or only in the bottom or the top. You can also experience the whole curved line going back and forth or up and down at once.

To make long short, the empty breath behaves like a bird. If it has a pattern of flying that you cannot see. So do not try to shape it, nor to let it be. Both attitudes fend of the experience because they imply you are in charge. Instead, acknowledge you are not in control. Using the technique for the taste of life, you automatically lose control because, whether you taste it or not, the method itself is beneficial for defocusing. And without focus, you are not in control.

If you experience the swing of the empty breath in all the egg-shaped circles simultaneously, the fusion of them at first feels as everything is spinning. See the speedy animation just below. But it quickly turns into a feeling of everything standing so still – see the third image from here – that you feel the bliss of being indifferent to what and where you appear to be.

Connecting to the inner breath is fortunately not about perfection, as that requires much control and therefore blocks the inner breath to move on its own accord. The inner breath is always connected to you, but you cannot feel it if your purpose is to be someone definitive. In other words not being anybody the inner breath is not hidden. In fact it is very intense.

The swing of the empty breath is not felt as fast as the movements in this animation, but rather like a steady ongoing rhythm with much force that expands and contracts the body. Yet the resulting breath in the body is often very subtle and probably seems to be slower than you are used to – unlike the driving force behind the rhythm of the empty breath, that is a rush of energy within the non-definable ball of it. And even though the particles of this force is moving completely unstructured and at any speed, fast or slow – a bit like in this animation – it is such a relief to merge with this apparent chaos, as that prevents you from focussing on anything specific, so you feel like a fountain sparkling with joy.

The operator of the empty breath
Besides feeling the swing of the empty breath or as if you are surfing two yin-yang like waves more or less in alignment with the extraction and contraction of the physical breath, you can also feel a constant rush of energy within the non-definable border of the empty breath. This chaotic energy at the root of the empty breath is not rhythmic but abstract. Yet, it is the force behind the rhythm of the empty breath. The feeling of it is a subtle sense of being here, there and everywhere, or as if spinning through a world with no limits where you are not limited to be someone.

There are no rules, but it could very well be that a take-off into ´the empty breath´ will take you to this aspect of it … and what a relief it is to float in chaos instead of having to fit into the rigid world of the outward-facing senses.

Unlike the swing of the empty breath, but like surfing its waves, this force is sensed inside and outside the body. It is often more straightforward to feel its very subtle energy outside of the body as there the dense bodily feeling is not an obstacle. If you do not try to catch its abstractness but go with its fleetness, you feel like a fountain of sparkling joy.

Sensing the operator of the empty breath outside of the body, you will automatically be taken inside, as the operator does not know one from the other. From there you probably are transferred to the rhythmic flow of surfing or feeling the swing of the empty breath.

The apparent chaos at the root of the empty breath, where the operator of it resides and where you most likely land after igniting the empty breath, is therefore a good starting point, when you want to be in the rhythmic flow of the empty breath.

If you, out of habit, try to focus on the empty breath to hear its transparent sound (see the next paragraph) or feel its rhythmic flow, you are bound to perceive it as something and thus fence it off. A more beneficial way to approach the rhythmic flow and transparent sound of the empty breath is to start in the chaos of its root – whether sensed in front or back of the body, on top of it or all around it – because that leaves nothing specifically for you to focus on, wherefore there is not something definitive blocking out hearing or feeling the rhythmic flow of the empty breath.

The transparent sound of the empty breath
Just like the rhythm of bass is heard and felt in the body, so is the sound of the empty breath, which is like ´so´ when it expands the body and ´ham´ when contracting it.

The apparently definitive shape of you in a body is, therefore, exposed as make-believe.

Sometimes it is like this rhythmic sound of ´so-ham´ comes from the nose and at other times from an undefined space in the back of the head. And then again, the sound does not seem to have a definable location, so it is neither experienced to be inside or outside the head. It may even appear to originate from an invisible space outside the body like it has nothing to do with your appearance in a body.

And as that is actually so, feeling the sound of the empty breath is not a compelling experience like feeling the rhythm of the bass because it cancels out the feeling of being in a specific body – as if there is no definable border between the body and its apparent surrounding. A sofa, for example, does not seem to differ from the body sitting in it.

This is basically due to the brain not being able to create a conscious experience of the signals it claims to receive from the sensory system of the body, when you are deeply connected with the empty breath (read more about that here), wherefore there is nobody to divide them into judgments of inside and outside, good and bad, high and low, them and me and so on. Hence the apparent differences in the experience of a world where there seems to be more than one do not appear to make a difference.

Since this means there is nothing to define such a world, it becomes evident that it is not real but a fantasy made out of nothing. But just like the reality in the world of a game is the same whether you believe it is real or not, the reality of a world where there seems to be more than one remains the same when you sense it is an illusion. Your relation with it, however, is forever changed. Being someone definitive, there is all pretence – just like it is, within that reality, when one pretends to be in the world of a game. Do not get attached to the rhythm of the empty breath, because the feeling of the rhythm is related to the body, so it stops when the body ends.

Since a rhythm has a beginning and an end, it is best not to get attached to the rhythm of the empty breath in the swing or transparent sound of it, because it ends when the body stops to function. At that moment, it is better to merge with the indifference of the empty breath or the non rhythmic and very chaotic energy in the operator of it, so that there is not something specific to stop the enlightenment of that which is one from absorbing the nothingness of you.

Via the transparent sound of the empty breath, you may naturally float into glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is one, which the visual-minded will experience as visions of light and the auditory minded as ethereal harmonies. If you are more emotional minded, you may feel the vibration that Aum, Sohang, and The Word of God symbolise or taste its sweetness.

The glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is one, for example, the visual aspect, merges into one, if not interpreted as something specific. Hence there is no experience of that which is you being different from that which is one, so nothing seems to hide there never was or will be more than the formlessness of oneness.

However, the empty breath is not something that can be brought about by manipulating the physical breath or exercising any other form of control. It is the other way around. When you go with the flow, the empty breath joins you.

A bicycle has nothing to do with the place, it is transporting you to.

This is not to say that techniques cannot be helpful in regard to tone down the experience of you as someone definitive so that the apparent existence of you in the tangible world fabricated by the brain does not seem to be a fact but make-believe. Unfortunately most forget, that techniques have nothing to do with what they seem to accomplish. Just like a remote control have nothing to do with the music it triggers.

As the connection with the empty breath is a state of not-knowing there is no awareness of separation. Hence the apparent difference between past, now and future or you and Alexius does not make a difference.

It is not possible to illustrate the inner breath in its totality. This yon yang animation (please abstract from the holes) though may give you an idea of the simultaneously movement of the two waves inside the inner breath.

The connectedness with the empty breath is a state of not-knowing
Nobody really knows what the connectedness with the empty breath feels like, as it is a state of not-knowing. So to write about that, he had to go back and forth between a state of not-knowing and the conscious experience of being someone and compile the vague memories of the empty breath popping up in his consciousness.

If the resulting descriptions seem patchy and confusing, you can use the disorientation to ignite a take-off into the empty breath. See how to do that in Take-offs into ´the empty breath´ and How to ignite a take-off into ´the empty breath´.

The empty breath is not only to be experienced within its border, because it has no specific border, so if you are experiencing it somewhere else, you have really become indifferent to the belief in being someone definitive, because only as such would you expect to experience it somewhere specific.

Please remember that even though the connectedness with the empty breath is impersonal, what you remember afterwards is personal. Hence your memories may seem different than those of Alexius.

If still confused, you are welcome to mail Alexius, although using your uncertainty to ignite a take-off into the empty breath is preferable because he cannot help neither you nor himself as he sees nobody in need of help.

Thus you would be better off keep on reading about it until you hardly can stay awake, then go to bed, forget what you read the empty breath feels like, close your eyes, and most likely it will be there in one way or the other. Indeed, they will rapidly change. That is if you do not try to hang onto one of them. In that case, they will cease.

Your eyes do not have to be closed, and you do not have to go to bed. You can sit anywhere in any position. You can also walk, run and/or talk. But if you are new to the empty breath, it may seem easier to connect with it by partly cutting out the world of the external senses yourself instead of waiting for it to be toned down when the empty breath syncs it with the world the inward-facing senses. You should, however, never attempt to cut out the world of the external senses yourself in situations that require your full attention in driving a car, for example.

PART 1: UNEDITED SPEED BRINGS YOU INTO THE BLISS OF NOTHING
Oneness is contrary to the common belief, not the same as stillness but loudness. That is if the speed of it could be experienced. But that is not possible, because it requires more than one to experience something.

You could also say, the reason oneness cannot be experienced is that it is a movie (an analogue), that is played so fast that the individual frames of it cannot be seen because. The speed merges them into one. Hence it is not quietness but speediness that is the bedrock of that which is one.

In the context of this metaphor, a world where there seems to be more than one is a movie of oneness slowed down so much, that it seems to consists of frames divided by time and space.

Those insisting in oneness being stillness are those who want to take it slow, because that gives them time to feel they are in control.

It is, therefore, not calmness but speediness, that is needed to accelerate the slowed-down movie of oneness into its natural speed, which is so fast that nothing can be seen. Hence hack #5.2 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing is not about slowing down thoughts or stopping them but not holding them back so the speediness of them ignite a take-off into the empty breath. It syncs the speedy thoughts in the low-frequency world of the outward-facing senses with the high-frequency world of the inward-facing senses, so they can be further accelerated without you going insane in the world of the outward-facing senses.

Inevitable thoughts move so fast that there is no time to hold onto any of them to make you come out as someone definitive in the world of the outward-facing senses. Thus that world is perceived from the world of the inward-facing senses, where you are not someone definitive. Thus you are in a state of not-knowing, which is pure bliss.

If you remain in that state for more than 20 minutes, 45 at most, the speed of the thoughts become so fast that they merge into the enlightenment of that which is one, from where there is nothing to gently fall into the formlessness of oneness. See hack #6.1 From the inward-facing senses through a black hole into that which is one. Most, however, never enter a state of not-knowing and if they do they leave it after a few seconds or minutes. So we return to the subject of this hack, which is not that which is one but how to enjoy the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one while slowly but surely having it undone.

Since there is no more than that which is one, everything in a world where there seems to be more than one is absurd. That includes Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings. For a take-off into the empty breath to work, you do not have to sit in special postures or do something extraordinary. There is one thing, though, you must do to make it work. You got to acknowledge the chaos of thoughts and feelings as they are experienced without analysing or trying to understand them, nor to shape them by a philosophical or religious system, because if editing, the speed of chaos is replaced by the numbness of order.

To not suppress the chaos through mental or meditative activity, but instead acknowledge it as it is, you do nothing other than to totally be it.* This is not only the take-off into the empty breath but also the destination because totally being something leaves nothing to contrast it. And as that does not leave behind anything to define you, you are in a state of not-knowing. Read more about that here.

In a state of not-knowing, the apparent difference between specific thoughts is not perceived to make a difference, neither is the supposed difference between what is presumed to be you and others. Thus there is nobody to be separated from somebody or at one with anybody – nor to experience the bliss that this entails.

But you do not know the bliss of that before you return to the conscious experience of being someone definitive and memories of it start popping up. You know, however, you are in a state of not-knowing when you do not care about what and where you appear to be.

When trying to control, change or stop thoughts and feelings, they are slowed down and therefore do not have the speed needed to ignite a take-off into the empty breath, where they lose their apparent meaning, since the empty breath is indifferent to differences. Consequently, they also lose their apparent power to define you as someone definitive.

Please be aware, that the above explanation of that which is one versus a world where there seems to be more than one is as absurd as any other explanation of this or anything else because it requires more than one to explain something and there is no more than that which is one since it is formless and therefore endless.

And as it also takes more than one to find something, there is neither truth, love, oneness or anything else to be found anywhere. Thus Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings do not reveal oneness, nor do they point to it, since that requires more than one. But they point to the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one, as it is what seems to hide there never was or will be more than that which is one because it is formless and therefore endless.

If you do not like to feel you are an outsider, it is not solved by blaming others, but by only feeling that. As that means there is nothing to contrast what you feel, it cannot be defined. Hence there is nothing but the bliss of emptiness. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

PART 2: COMPLETELY BEING SOMETHING UNVEILS THE BLISS OF NOTHING
Feeling wrong seems to go away when you complain about somebody because that makes them appear to be wrong and you to be right. But complaining about others to escape unwanted feelings in yourself is like covering them under the lid in a cooking pot. Sooner or later, the pressure of the suppressed emotions blows off the lid and steam of grievances shoot out.

Since the cooking pot in this metaphor is your body, the above is to say, that although complaining about somebody at first seems to make you feel better, the problem is not solved. It has just been buried inside your body from where it will come out in the open when the body expels the suppressed problem through physical disease. Whatever that is, you most likely blame it for having caused you to suffer, so you still can deny having an emotional problem.

You do not get rid of an emotional problem by suppressing but feeling it. This is not done by telling friends or a psychiatrist what you think that your problem is. Focusing on the cause displaces the feeling, and so does talking about it because that disassociate you from feeling it.

Totally being a feeling is as easy as being completely devoted to sex, for example. It does not mean, by the way, that you go deep down in the feeling. It is like going deep into a well. No reason to do that. It is the same water on the surface. In other words, totally being an emotion is to feel as it comes to you now.

So instead of sharing what you think you feel with somebody, feel it all by yourself until you are nothing but that, wherefore there is no feeling to contrast it and, therefore, not something to define you as having a problem or anything else. Consequently, you are in a state of not-knowing.

Contrasts are slowly but surely cancelled out in the indifference of the empty breath, including the contrast between life and death. This does not necessarily mean that the bodily symptom of the suppressed feeling magically vanishes. The body may still hurt. But since there is nobody to perceive this as something, it is, just like in a dream, nothing, which applies to everything else, so there is not something to be bothered by. Nor is there anybody to know the bliss that this entails before returning to the belief in being someone and blissful memories of not believing that start to surface.

Since these memories slowly by surely rubs off on your perception of what and where you appear to be as someone definitive, you do not need to avoid or hold onto any feeling to establish yourself as special. Consequently, the body is not used as a garbage bin for unwanted feelings, so it is not disturbed by immaterial matters and can take care of physical issues just like it was made to do. However, when it comes to viruses transferred from wild animals, for example HIV, Mers and COVID 19, and other sicknesses generated by the way of modern living, the body generally needs help from healthcare professionals.

To sum it up, acknowledging a feeling as something specific that you experience as someone definitive makes it possible to completely be what you feel. Being that and nothing else there is not something to contrast it, and therefore nothing to define what you are. Thus you enter a state of not-knowing. However, it is not before you leave it and return the belief in being someone definitive, that you remember, the bliss that comes from being indifferent to that.

You must leave a state of not-knowing after 20 minutes, 45 at most, at a time if you want to be able again to have a conscious experience of being someone definitive because the brain falls into a coma if there is not a continuous dialogue – internal or external – about something that seems to confirm you are someone definitive. If the brain is not kept active by you continuously perceiving something as separate, it cannot uphold the consciousness of you as someone definitive, wherefore you are in a state of not-knowing. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

So if you do not want the brain to fall into a coma, and you to disappear in the nothingness from where the experiences of what you believe to be is fabricated by the brain, you must return to the consciousness of being someone in a world of something by resuming your grievances about the world experienced to be outside of you, so you again are established to be separated from what you experience and thus to be someone definitive. Read here how complaints seem to make you appear to be real.

Instead of returning from a state of not-knowing to the conscious experience of being someone definitive, you can totally forget about something, so there is nothing to be absorbed by the enlightenment of that which is one, so there is no consciousness, states of bliss or anything else that requires more than one.

Hence there is not something that seems to hide, there never was or will be nothing but that which is one. Read about the enlightenment of that which is one in HACK #6, The inward-facing senses, enlightenment, and glimpses of it. This does not only mean that the appearance of you as someone definitive is terminated, but that you have never existed, neither in a material or spiritual way, because it takes more than one to exist.

No reason to worry about accidentally and abruptly being terminated as someone in the enlightenment of that which is one, because in most cases the fear of it (read more about that here) or the urge to separate will set in before that, so you automatically fend off that which is one to appear as if you are someone in a world where there seems to be more than one.

Obviously, nor Alexius or anybody else has passed the point of no return in the enlightenment of that which is one because a world where there seems to be more than one is still experienced, and it only takes one to undo what is not one because there is no more than that which is one.

PART 3: THE RETURN FROM THE BLISS OF NOTHING TO THE HAPPINESS OF SOMETHING
When returning from a state of not-knowing to the consciousness of being someone, just like a criminal, you do not think in the categories of right or wrong. Unlike a criminal, however, you do not replace these categories with a calculation of what you can get away with it. You are aware that you do not choose what you do – only how you perceive it.

You do not get stressed from always having to avoid what you judge as negative, being angry for example, when perceiving everything as it is what it is. Read more about this perception in hack #4.2The brain´s script and how to perceive it to feel happy).

And since your perception always is that it is what it is, negative thoughts are just as welcome as positive ones. So is the empty breath. Most of this hack, however, presumes you do not perceive everything as it is what it is, but I know what it is. And as you have to exclude everything unknown from your awareness to uphold this perception, you are full of hidden thoughts and feelings which suppressed energy can be used to ignite a take-off into the empty breath.

If you have read HACK #4 When you begin to live by duality, it is going to end, you have probably grasped that you, in the terms of Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings, are the basic self when perceiving everything as ´it is what it is´ and the special self when perceiving it as ´I know what it is,´ which is to state you know better than the brain and have established yourself as more unique than the basic self – or in the process of accomplishing it.

Being in sync with the brain, there is nothing to disturb you from falling into a state of not-knowing.

Since the basic self is in sync with the brain, it feels the happiness of something contrary to the special self which is out of sync and thus gets the sadness of something. They are equally illusionary, though, but it does not seem so dangerous to have that exposed when being a basic and not a special self.

The body is made to deal with physical issues, not psychological ones [draft]

In most cases, you do not have to read Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings in a particular order. But in the case of this article, you may benefit from having read about the perception ´it is what it is.´ This perception syncs you with the brain’s script. Hence you feel entertained. PART 1:
The special self dissociates itself from unpleasant feelings by imagining to dump them in the body. Hence, it can perceive itself as free from evil, so it is only something outside itself. But, although this has made the unpleasant feelings disappear from the awareness of the special self, they remain in the darkness of its consciousness as something believed to be hidden in obscure parts of its body.

There they may seem to be hidden for a long time. But sooner or later, their suppressed energy causes trouble. And since you believe in having buried unpleasant feelings in the body, you perceive the danger to come from there. Traditional medicine, nutritional supplements or massage, for example, may seem to relieve the pain. But it soon returns, this time maybe in another part of the body.

However, the cause of the problem is not in the body but in how you perceive yourself, namely as bad. You reckon if you this in obscure parts of the body, you will look so good that nobody sees the darkness in you. To heal the problems that this divorce from a part of you, you must bring back the darkness where it was deemed unwanted, namely in the perception of yourself. Thus you can see you are full of darkness that defines the brightness in you. In other words, darkness does not bring you down but enhance the brightness in you. Read more about that here.

If facing your darkness seems frustrating, you can instead use the unedited energy of distress to ignite a take-off into the empty breath. In connection with that, there is nothing but the bliss of emptiness. Hence there is nothing to face. See hack #5.2 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing.

INTERLUDE:
The special self uses much energy to suppress the thoughts and feelings judged as negative or politically incorrect. This, it deems necessary for preserving what it believes to be or will become when it lives in the now, come from the heart or whatnot. On the other hand, the basic self has no desire to appear in a special way and, therefore, no need to judge something wrong.

Besides, it knows negativity is just as crucial as positivity. For example, the combination of the negative and positive pole in an electric wire makes the energy required to publish this article on the internet. Read more about that here.

If your phone is out of order and it seems to make you upset, having the phone fixed may appear to address your anger as well. But the phone has neither the power to make you angry or heal you. So even though the rage has disappeared from your awareness, it will return when something else triggers it. PART 2:
If you decide you are clumsy when continually dropping something, you may, by reflex, dump this feeling of silliness in the stomach. This may result in a sickness called IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). It is not physically measurable through blood or another kind of bodily analysis. Instead, the diagnosis is based on eliminating other measurable issues, indicating this one is a psychosomatic disorder.

That is probably why the problem is not solved through physically solutions such as excluding bread, onions and whatnot. Instead, the issue needs to be addressed where it is made, namely in the way you see yourself.

More friends or likes on Facebook will not make your insecurity go away.

This is not to say that you should not follow a diet like FODMAP in the case of IBS, it might be an excellent way to relieve stomach pain, so you have the strength to feel your insecurity instead of dumping it in the stomach. Your clumsiness is not a fact but an opinion of yours. If you do not try to hide this opinion in the stomach but perceive it as ´it is what it is,´ you see you are not something specific because everything comes in pairs in a world of duality. Clumsiness is paired with grace.

An excellent shortcut for correcting a singular perception is to use the frustration from being clumsy as a take-off into the empty breath (see hack #5.2 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing). This brings you into a state of not-knowing. There the slate is wiped clean, so you return to the conscious experience of being someone as the basic self. Read more about that here. Since it automatically perceives its reaction to something as ´it is what it is,´ the basic self always feels complete. Thus its appearance does not matter.

You cannot avoid events that may result in sadness, but you can refrain from interpreting them, so they do that. This naturally occurs for the basic self, which has no need for special events to make it happy. Happiness is the essence of all experiences when one does not interpret itself to stand out as exceptional.

INTERLUDE:
If you have physical problems, do not try to solve physical problems with mental ideas of wellness. By doing that, you fuck up the biological system that the brain uses to support the body. The basic self would never interfere with the natural flow between the body and the brain because that prevents the latter from healing the body. This is not to say the body never needs the help of a professional physician. But that if it does, it will let you know.

However, the special self always thinks it knows better. Thus it forces the body to do extreme yoga exercises, heavy weight lifting, restricting diets, tantra sex, or other mental concepts of wellness that make the body appear to be a manifestation of the special self. The price is a body in pain, but since the primary concern of the special self is its appearance, it gladly pays that price.

PART 3:
If physical symptoms of illness trigger memories of endangerment and those two are combined so that the physical symptoms are perceived to cause a threat, a fusion of physical and psychological reality seems to have been established. The resulting psychosomatic disorder cannot be healed by the body’s biological system because it is made to deal with physicality only. And since the physical and psychological reality, like oil and water, do not mix, using mental powers to heal the body is a mess.

Suppose the experience of the physical symptom, on the other hand, is not combined with the memories of the endangerment triggered by it. In that case, the symptom remains physical and the memories psychological. Therefore, the biological system is free to deal with the physical symptom, and the memories of danger can be dealt with psychologically.

The paradox in trying to heal a psychosomatic disorder is that it reinforces the fear of the physical symptoms and thus the result of this combo, namely a psychosomatic disorder.

To sum it up: When you appear to be sick, and your concern about the physical symptom triggers a past sense of danger that you interpret as caused by the present physical symptom, you develop a psychosomatic disorder. But since body and mind cannot be fused, no cure will work before the imagined combo of an immaterial feeling, and a material symptom is undone, and each problem, therefore, can be dealt with on their own terms.

In a situation where you perceive yourself to be on top of it, try for a moment to perceive you do not know what comes next. Then feel which perceptions is followed by a free breathe.

This differentiation occurs automatically when you are the basic self because it relates to the stream of thoughts coming from the brain as it is and not as it should be according to socialism, capitalism, or another ism that tries to establish consistency and meaning where there is none. There is not something to learn from the thoughts streaming from the brain, nor when they turn out as dreams or spiritual experiences. They are made from nothing. Their only purpose is to make them look like something, so one can be entertained by nothing. Read more about that here.

If you want to be entertained by nothing instead of being frustrated by the belief in something like socialism, you give up being special by connecting with the empty breath. It immediately brings you in a state of not-knowing from where you shortly return to the consciousness of being someone with the slate wiped clean (read more about that here). Hence you are the basic self without psychosomatic disorders. Therefore, since all Alexius´ Duality Hacks eventually bring about this state,* and they apply themselves when reading Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings, all you need to become the basic self is to keep reading them.

PART 4:
The brain repeatedly rewards the basic self with shots of happiness for being in sync with its script. It cannot do that for the special self because it makes a  perception of the script where everything judged as wrong is excluded. The special self imagines doing that by dumping negativity in the body.

This fantasy makes it presume that strained areas in the body are generated by the suppressed negativity. Hereafter, it concludes the natural flow between the brain and the body is broken, so it can take over and fix the body by ideas of mindfulness or other mental ideas unfit for the body because it is purely physical.

This mess you can undo by connecting with the empty breath. It brings you into a state of not-knowing from where you return to the consciousness of being someone definitive with a body that has been set free from suppressed feelings (read more about that in From the bliss of not-knowing to the happiness of serving).

Since that feels like starting from zero, you carefully stretch the body. This is not done in a system of coordinated body posture and movement, breathing, and meditation. But since it looks similar to Tai Chi or Qigong and the special self always seek out appearances it can mimic to occur spiritual, it assumes it can magically enter a state of not-knowing by imitating these slow movements in a focused mode. A state of not-knowing, however, does not arise from focusing but defocusing. See the hack No Focus = No World Defined By Time And Space. It can find in Extra Duality Hacks.

When Alexius´ cat, Guinevere, lies in his lap, he projects a good feeling on this part of his body. Thus it is like the pressure of her body makes his body relax. But if a rat lies in the same place, the body would tighten.

However, neither the good nor the bad feeling is in the body. It is in the mental sphere where it is conceived due to what we have conditioned ourselves to perceive as pleasing and horrible. So if you want to remove the awful feeling you have projected on the body , you must bring it back in its mental sphere, so it can be dealt with where it is made.

The result of this fabrication is a body messed up by the unfortunate belief in a fusion of physical and non-physical issues. But the body fights your mental attack on its physical integrity, perhaps by creating allergic reactions. But the special self never wants to face the reason for the allergy because that would expose the foolishness of the belief that physical and non-physical issues can be mixed.

Should you realise this and renounce the belief in such a fusion, the body is set free from your fear. Thus the biological system can communicate with the brain to heal the damages brought by your anxiety.

Alexius´ Duality Hacks perceive everything as they perceive themselves, namely as nothing. Hence that is how they see your problems. This is why they do not hold back Alexius´ Duality Hacks from undoing the belief that it is possible to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one.

EPILOGUE:
In a world where there seems to be more than one, you appear to get rid of unwanted emotions by hiding them in the body and later free them from their imprisonment by bringing them back into the psyche, as described in hack #4.3 The toxic mix of physical and non-physical issues

But since there is no more than that which is one, and it takes more than one to be alive, what and where you believe in being is non-existing. Therefore, ultimately speaking, there is nothing to heal other than the belief that you are someone in a world where there seems to be more than one (read more about that here). Since oneness is formless and therefore endless, there are no feelings at all unless you believe it is possible to be and have more than that which is one. In the context of that belief, Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings talk about physical and psychological feelings plus a feeling of emptiness, which is pure bliss (see hack #5.3 ´The empty breath´ and the bliss of not believing to be someone.

In this hack, we take a closer look at the combination of physical and psychological feelings. That combo brings about a psychosomatic disorder, which feels like being in a cage made of grievances, fear and anxiety.

The fastest way to repair a psychosomatic disorder is to not perceive it as ´I know what it is´ but ´it is what it is.´ The first view is categorical, whereas the second one does not have a monocratic but dualistic approach. Hence the second view brings you in alignment with dualism, and since you are in a world of duality, this is the way to go if you want to feel good.

Suppose it seems impossible not to go on as conditioned and rationalise a psychosomatic disorder into something you seem to know. In that case, it may be helpful to split it into psychological and physical issues. Hence each of them can be approached on their own term. But then again, you have distanced yourself so much from the psychological problem that it seems to have vanished, so you cannot split the psychosomatic disorder.

No problem, it is not about how you deal with the disorder but how you perceive your reaction to it. When you perceive that as ´it what it is.´ your response is revealed to be dual. Hence the disorder has no specific effect on you. And since there is no cause without an effect, there is no psychosomatic disorder. Instead, there is a psychological and a physical problem that you can approach in an immaterial and material way.

In other words, to start the healing of a psychosomatic disorder, there is nothing you need to change but your perception of your reaction to it. Read more about that in The body is made to deal with physical issues, not psychological ones.

When you perceive your response to an experience as ´I know what it is,´ you have quickly chosen between different points of view to see which one proves ´I know what it is.´ Meditation cannot stop this hectic and unpleasant movement of thoughts required to appear as if you are in the know. But if your reaction to an experience is perceived as ´it is what it is,´ you do not need to look for explanations that seem to confirm you are on top of it. Consequently, you are at peace.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Everything comes in pairs of opposites in a world of duality. That is why singular opinions and feelings are fake, and you need to make them real by imagining that holding back the breath breaks up the duality pairs into particular elements independent of each other, so you are someone definitive instead of relative to duality. The suffering of the body that this separation from duality entails cannot be solved by breathing exercises. On the contrary, they seem to confirm the belief that you are in charge of who you are, although you would die quickly if you were to manage the breath because you would not remember it.

However, if you perceive your single-minded opinions and feelings as ´it is what it is,´ each of them is revealed to be paired with its opposite. Since your views and feelings, therefore, are twofold, you are in the duality flow. Read more about that in hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality. Hence, there is no need to imagine being in charge of the breath and thus able to set up a particular image of yourself.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you wonder how to differentiate between physical and psychological feelings, you can count on the former being annoying, the latter overwhelming and the perceived combination of them worrying.

And if you do not know when you hide specific feelings, you can be almost sure this is what you do if you generally keep your mouth sealed. In most cases, that is an attempt to prevent feelings from coming out. And keeping the shoulders back is often a physical expression of attack, whereas keeping them forward may be an attitude of defence. Thus you, either in an offensive or defensive way, insists on having or not having a specific emotion, so you, for example, feel love but not hate or the other way around.

This separation of love and hate makes you feel fragmented, whereas you feel complete when they are paired. In other words, when hatred and love are coupled, they support each other and give you a genuine feeling of togetherness, contrary to the uncertainty you get when separated.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When your reaction to something is perceived as ´it is what it is,´ the specific meaning, you decided your response had, opens up and reveal it is not singular but twofold. Thus lust, which is paired with being pure, does not make you feel ashamed but joyful. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Whatever is perceived in the psyche to affect the body or in the body to affect the psyche is made-up connections. Fortunately, they are undone when you perceive your reaction to the effect as ´it is what it is.´ Since the connection was purely mental, you feel relieved in the psyche. Hence you have no need to force your ideas of balance, wholeness and whatnot on the body. Therefore, it is free to deal with itself materially. Should it need help from healthcare professionals, it will let you know.

If you have been heavily invested in the belief that physical and non-physical issues can be mixed, you may feel empty when that idea goes down the drain. No worries. Soon you realise how laid-back life is in the absence of this fake unity.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When perceived as ´I know what it is,´ an emotion seems definable. Hence you think it can be compared to a physical feeling that you perceive to be similar. And since a physical feeling is denser and therefore last longer, the emotion also seems to go on if you hold onto this comparison. However, if the experience of an emotion is prolonged, it becomes heavy.

Fortunately, an emotion, for example happiness, is not definitive when perceived as´ it is what it is.´ Instead, it is relative to its opposite, sadness, which is relative to happiness. But none of those feelings stays put. They are quickly replaced by their counterpart. This constant interaction of opposites is the duality flow. Being in that, and not in singular feelings, one feels complete. Read more about that in hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When something felt in the body is perceived as ´it is what it is,´ the feeling is not defined by you, wherefore it cannot be linked to something psychological or spiritual. Hence the body is free to deal with itself as it is made to do. But, unfortunately, it can be too late, even with the help of a healthcare professional, to heal the problems coming from your ideas of integrating the body with something non-physical.

In that case, you may end up with chronic inflammation, for example. But if you do not combine the psychological sphere with the physical reality anymore, the irritation that seems to arise from the chronic inflammation is not linked to the physical feeling of it. Thus the body can help you living with the sickness as it is.

When perceiving a problem as ´it is what it is,´ you step back from the idea of being in control and thus of fixing it. Therefore, both the psyche and the body can deal with their problems in their own way without being interrupted by your foolish idea of unity.

This does not mean that you do not assist the body by keeping it warm, supplying it with a place to sleep and, supporting it with medicine and vitamins – perhaps prescribed by a healthcare professional. In the case of Alexius, he uses the internet to find something that supports his body, for example Blackroll for massage, nootropics for boosting the brain and far-infrared heating pads for relieving pain.

But it means that you do not pump up the body through fitness or try changing the rhythm of the breath, for example. Believing that you are in charge of yourself is absurd. You do not even know who you are. Besides, going down the stairs is such a complicated process that it would take at least a day if you had to control every movement.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You hold back your breath to block thoughts and feelings which do not fit into the image you have constructed of yourself. Then you do exercises to correct the disrupted breath. But manipulating it further only makes it worse. The problem is not the breath but that you think you can manage it. It needs to flow freely. Thus you a problem with the breath is not solved by exercises. Instead, step back and do nothing, so the breath flows unhindered by your ideas of balance, wholeness and whatnot. If you enhance the sense of pain in a broken rib by combining it with the fear of destruction, you expect to feel severe pain when the breath moves through the broken rib. However, do not try to overcome that by pushing the breath through that area. It is natural to hold back breathing if you expect it to be hurtful when it expands the rib.

Unfortunately, the breath is often held back to perceive particular spots in the body as problematic. This is not healthy, nor is pushing the breath. Both approaches imply you believe to be in control of breathing. But you would quickly die if you should remember to breathe.

The way out of this is not to let the breath be. This idea comes from the belief that you are in charge. The key is to step back, so you are out of the way. That is done by perceiving the fear your problem seems to cause as ´it is what it isThis reveals fear is not alone. It is complemented by confidence, which is defined by fear that is determined by confidence.

In this interplay, called the duality flow, you feel complete and therefore free. Therefore, as there is no attempt to interfere with the breath, it runs freely despite physical issues. Read more about the duality flow in hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

That being said, it might hurt in the broken rib when the breath is not regulated to avoid pain. Still, this is less painful than imagined and compared to the joy of an unrestricted breath, it is nothing. Especially because that lays the foundation for the healing of the rib.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Your disgust for others, based on the assumption that you know better, keeps the body tightened. This does not mean you should try to stop your grievances but that you should perceive your reaction to them as ´it is what it is.´ For example, if your grievances make you shameful, you see that this single-minded feeling actually is twofold. Shame is complemented by praise, and since they define each other, acknowledging this matchup makes them so authentic that you feel great. Hence there is no need to know better.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Projecting unpleasant feelings onto the body and expecting them to go away when the body is fixed is like projecting feelings onto your smartphone and expecting them to go away when the phone is repaired. Just like feelings cannot be mixed with the mechanical parts of a smartphone, they do not blend with the physical nature of the body.

In other words, no matter what you project your unpleasant feelings onto, they remain in the psychological sphere. Hence it is there they must be dealt with.

Most do not feel and see the body as it is. Instead, they have a vision of what it will feel and look like in the future when they have succeeded in imposing their ideas of perfection upon it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you drive a car, you do not try to change how its engine works or looks. Instead, you use the wheel, gear, gas and brake pedal and trust the machine to do what it is supposed to. But moving around in a body, you try to bypass the biological system so you can shape the body per ideas of mindfulness and wellness.

The application of one or more of Alexius´ Duality Hacks reestablishes the connection between the body and the brain. Not by healing the body, though, but by undoing the foolish belief that you are connected with the body. Hence it becomes like a coat you wear. It follows you but there is no connection.

To turn the basic self into a special one, everything judged as embarrassing you exclude from the perception of yourself. The banned thoughts and feelings you hide from the awareness by combining them with physical feelings coming from weak or deformed parts of the body. Hence psychological feelings in the future are experienced as physical sensations. So when a suppressed psychological issue is triggered, you are not aware of it because you think your experience is physical.

No matter what medicine you take or the diet you follow to stop the discomfort in the body, an abstract feeling of pain remains, namely the psychological issue hidden in the physical experience of the body. This pain comes from the psyche, and it does not go away before it is dealt with in an immaterial way.

Although the clothes and the body wearing them seem to be closely related, they have no understanding of each other. The clothes have no love or anything else to give the body and vice versa. Likewise, immateriality and materiality have nothing to give each other. Their reality is too different. That is why psychologically concepts of how to attain physical wellness do not work.

Thinking you are in control, you are under enormous pressure. You must always look for thoughts that can be used to compose a perception of your experiences, so they seem to prove that you, not the brain, are in control.

The body is made to interact with structures that, like itself, is experienced to be material. That is why the body interprets your attempts to integrate it with non-physical feelings or ideas of spirituality as an attack on its integrity, which it must defend itself against.

To think that you can hide unpleasant feelings in the body is like thinking that you can hide them in a wall. Emotions are immaterial. Hence it is impossible to bury them in something material. However, it is possible to believe that this can be done. If you do that, you look at the body to find hidden problems, even though physical problems consist of nothing but material elements, and the hidden issues are in your perception of them.

You will never find anything physical in the digital world. Likewise, you will never find something physical in the psychological sphere or vice versa. That is why the concept of a body-mind connection is a scam.

The nature of non-physical feelings are fleeting, so if you experience a specific one to be sticky, it is not due to them but to you. Maybe you an emotion to last, which you achieve by combining it with a part of the body.

If it is an exceptional experience of love you want to keep, you combine it with a pleasant physical feeling in the heart, for example. But if it is a particular memory of hate you want to hold onto, you link it with pain in the chest. However, just like a wall cannot contain the wind, it is impossible to fuse a body with abstract feelings. Yet, it is possible to mentally blend physicality and psychology so that every time you feel a specific kind of love, you think you feel something nice in the heart. And every time you feel hatred towards someone, you sense something weird in the chest.

Since you, therefore, feel something in the heart or chest that is not there, you have a problem believed to be in the body, which cannot be addressed. That is until you split this psychosomatic disorder into a material and immaterial issue, so you can deal with each one on its own term. In this case, you confront why you need to hold onto a specific feeling of love or hate. Then you consult a doctor to see if the heart is the problem. But most likely, it is the muscles.

However, most people do not want to wipe out the idea of a body-mind connection. On the contrary, they want to uphold their imagined union of immaterial and material issues as real, as then it seems possible to appear as if they have a feeling they do not have. Should this feeling be questioned, they refer to the bodily symptoms they claim is caused by that feeling. They love talking about body-mind connection because that makes it look like they are in control of themselves, even though they do not know who they are.

If you want to undo the imagined combination of immateriality and materiality, a willingness to not remember what and where you imagine being is all that is required. When being nobody is acknowledged, there is no need to make feelings last to define you as somebody.

When you have combined a psychological feeling with a physical one, you want this combo to hide or prolong the psychological feeling. Therefore, since you need the part of the body from where you get the physical feeling to remain as it is, you resist healing it. That is until you do not have a need to hide or prolong the psychological feeling you imagine to have hidden there.

Should this split-up of a psychosomatic issue seem problematic, you perceive your reaction to a feeling in the body that seems not only factual but also abstract as ´it is what it is.´ This renders your response indefinable. Thus the body is set free from your opinion, so it can outline the physical part of the combo and heal it in agreement with that. Since a psychological feeling only is sticky if manipulated into oblivion or something lasting, this part of the combo returns to its temporary nature and passes on when looked at.

Healing the psychological part of a psychosomatic combo takes no time. All psychological feelings are fleeting, so they pass on when looked at. The physical part, you deal with by stepping back so the body can heal itself without having to live up to your expectations of wellness and wholeness.

You exclude from your awareness what you do not like about yourself by imagining you combine it with the feeling of a vulnerable part of the body. Thus your psychological problems seem to be hidden inside a bodily problem.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

For years there has been an unhealthy idea about uniting body, mind and soul with you as the master of the combo. Unfortunately, this approach has done much harm to the body. First of all, you are not the master of your appearance – only the perception of it. Secondly, the body is a physical unit built to deal with material matters and not mental, emotional or metaphysical ones – like the digital media where you read, this is made to deal with the digital world and not the physical one.

In other words, you cannot blend immateriality with materiality. However, you can imagine doing it and that your psychological problems, therefore, are buried in the body. But it only knows physical issues, so it feels attacked by something unknown when you attempt to dump psychological problems in the body. Hence it shoots off here and there. And you end up with psychosomatic disorders that cannot be healed until you are willing to bring back the psychological issues to the immaterial sphere.

Doing that may at first seem like you are going insane or being tortured. No worries, as long as you do not edit the unpleasantness, it will not remain for long because the nature of psychological feelings is to pass on when looked at unedited. Read more about this process in Sadness is a close friend of gladness. When the psychological issues have vanished, you do not have psychosomatic disorders but physical issues. Fortunately, the body is an expert in dealing with physical problems. Should it need assistance from a health care professional, it will let you know.

When you see a scary movie, it is experienced to be real because it feels like the fear manifests in your body. The film, however, does not have the ability to scare you and what you feel in the body is purely physical. It is not caused by the events in the movie but by because you perceive them to be so frightening that you tighten up the body.

You perceived them like that because you are conditioned to interpret certain things as scary. And to make it real that this is what you feel, you project the idea on a body part that already is tense and seems to get tenser when you give it your attention. Thus it feels as if it is the movie has an effect on your body.

Sometimes, it goes the other way around. You have a stomach ache, but it does add meaning to your life. So you imagine, the pain is caused by a psychological issue from your past. Unfortunately, this perceived combination results in a psychosomatic disorder that is incurable – especially because the psychological part most likely is made up. Hence there is nothing to heal but the belief that there is someone who has conditioned itself to feel this.

You might think it is too hot, for example, but since you perceive your reaction to this experience as ´it is what it is,´ your response makes it just as entertaining to be hot as cool. It does not rain because you feel sad, nor does the rain has the power to make you feel bad. That is unless you choose to perceive such a course and effect. Likewise, the body cannot make you feel sad, nor does feeling sad makes the body terrible unless you imagine such a connection.

The body does not want to be used as a means to manifest mental ideas of being balanced, centred or connected with higher consciousness, so it fights your abuse of it by tightening itself.

Therefore, the tensions in the body can only be healed when you withdraw your mental assault on the body. This is done by perceiving your reaction to the violation of the body as ´it is what it is´. Since that takes the power of your misguidance, you cannot help but laugh. You may also cry. But that is how it should be, as everything in a world of duality comes in pairs.

This makes you feel complete but maybe also silly because you are not pushing the body to the extremes anymore to feel young and more unique. But then again, since everything comes in pairs, silliness is complemented with wisdom. Thus you feel insightful even though you are not unique.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

To prevent feelings in the body from being processed by the brain, part of the body is desensitised by perceiving it to be connected with mental ideas of balance and whatnot. If this benumbing is in the upper part of the neck, the flow between the body and the brain is cut off. Thus you can decide what the body wants and process it as if there is a body-mind connection.

But there is no such combination. On the contrary, the body is material and sees immaterial ideas as an attack on its integrity. Thus, it fights them by continually keeping the shoulders backwards or forward to hold the body in a mode of attack or defence. On top of that, it might lock the hips and/or the loin to balance the upper body’s issues with others in the lower part.

Whatever way it works out, you hold onto it because, as already said, these tensions disrupt the natural flow of communication between the body and the brain, so you can bypass the biological system and impose the body with your mental ideas of wellness.

In this way, the body is used to establish the belief that you are in charge. The body suffers from this egoism, and so do you because believing to be in control, you are out of sync with your nature, which is to serve the brain like a self-driving car follows The Cloud.

You are nothing without the brain, except in your own imagination of being an independent being. But this idea does not change anything other than your perception is not aligned with the brain, wherefore you do not notice the happiness the brain reserves for its creations.

It may, at first, seem dangerous not having the body in a position of defence or attack. But since the basic self perceives everything as ´it is what it is,´ it is in sync with the brain and thus continiously injected with shots of happiness. Consequently, any kind of feeling, whether seen as positive or negative, is amusing.

Regarding Alexius´ Duality Hacks, it does not matter how you have mistreated your body to uphold a perception of being its master. The hacks bring you into a state of not-knowing in which the slate is wiped clean, so when you return to the consciousness of being someone, you are the basic self. And since it perceives every reaction it has to something as ´it is what it is,´ it is in sync with the brain and, therefore, in the happiness that comes from being aligned with its maker.

PART XXX
The moods that you like and perceive to reflect who you are, have been materialised in your body – or rather in the way you choose to perceive it. Thus these states of mind can be recalled when something troubles you. But since you also have projected the emotions you do not like onto the body, parts of it might seem to fight your favourite mood.

That is unless you discard the link you have made between physical and psychological feelings and are willing to be in the emptiness that arises from not your own conditioning to feel something specific. It may seem scary at first, but there is nothing to link it to since you are in a void. Thus you realise, when there is not something specific, there is not something to cause problems. Thus you are in the bliss of nothing.

Applying the duality hacks, your conditioned expectations to what you should feel are undone, so you can be in the bliss of nothing.

That being said, just like a pencil needs an eraser to undo its scribblings, you need a duality hack to cancel the link you have made between physical and psychological feelings. This could, for example, be the empty breath.** It is not something but nothing, so that is what it sees. In other words, your link is not acknowledged as something, neither is whatever it links, so you are in the bliss of nothing. See hack #5.3 ´The empty breath´, and the bliss of not believing to be someone for more info about the empty breath** and hack #5.2 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing for how to connect with it.

When you react to something, it is not due to what others do or say but how you have conditioned yourself by linking physical and psychological feelings. It is, therefore, not what they say or do you want to go away but how it triggers the pain of this link in you.

When the body is not used to materialise the feelings you believe establish what you want to be and hide those feelings not supporting it, it is free from your dictatorship. So are you because then the body is not an instrument for conditioning anymore.

Having conditioned yourself to feel something specific in case of specific events, so the perception of yourself as special is upheld, you always are on the lookout for specific reactions in the body that can confirm this.

This automatically happens when connecting with the empty breath** (or applying one or more of the other duality hacks) because the state of not-knowing that this entails wipes the slate clean, so you return to the conscious experience of being someone as the basic self.* Since the brain´s script cannot be changed – only the perception of it – this does not mean you are free to do what you want. But you are free to perceive the script as it is instead of compulsively making up perceptions that seem to change it to something you have conditioned yourself to believe is better.

In sync with the script, you do not try to become happy from being and having something special because you are continuously injected with shots of happiness by the brain for supporting it.

As everything seems the same when being happy, there is no diversity from which you can choose something to be more exciting than something else, and thus no hope of something better to come. You may, therefore, find being in a constant state of happiness to be boring and choose to improve the basic self by making a perception of it in which you seem to be the centre of exciting things as a special self.

This is the end of happiness because now feeling good depends on being and having something special, and it never lasts. But also because the special self is founded on the idea that there must be something better. So no matter what it achieves in being and having, it is never good enough. There must be something better.

Fortunately, the frustration of never finding something better can, if unedited, ignite a take-off to the empty breath,** so you again have the slate wiped clean and return to the conscious experience of being someone definitive as the basic self and thus are injected with shots of happiness. Eventually, you are so happy that there is no more to ask for. Hence the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one is undone.

Since that is the whole purpose of Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings and since being conditioned or not requires more than one, it really does not matter what you are or whether you are tense. Yet it may matter in the process of having the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one is undone. Without conditioning and a tense body, the process of it is so much more fun. Fortunately, you can have your cake and eat too. You can keep any conditioning if you perceive it as it is what it is* because then its built-in expectation of a particular outcome is undone, so you are happy no matter what that is or if you are tense or not.

So not need to make it your new purpose to become free of conditioning and tensions or anything else, for that matter. Rather stick to the undoing of the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one because there is no behaviour or anything else to get rid of as that takes more than one.

In hack #4.3 To be a basic self is to be good enough, we talk about the awkward sense of something unfamiliar that comes when psychological and physical feelings are combined into a psychosomatic disorder. If not trying to change the awkwardness into something more pleasant, the unedited energy of it ignites a take-off to the empty breath** that replaces the pain with the painless feeling of emptiness

This may at first be experienced as more disturbing than a psychosomatic disorder because it sets aside the sense of being someone. But if that is not avoided, you are walking on clouds of bliss.

INTERLUDE
When you suppress the feelings you perceive to be wrong, the ones seen to be correct are also excluded because, in a world of duality, everything comes in pairs. Since you always look for approval, you do not suppress that. But since it is paired with shame, you cannot help but feel the embarrassment of being an oppressor.

To distance yourself from this feeling, you project it partially on others, your father or boss, for example. But doing so, their approval only seems to be partial. Thus you feel, you are not good enough. If, however, perceiving that as it is what is, it does not result in feeling inadequate. Thus the need to blame somebody for putting you down is gone.

The more you exclude/suppress, the more inadequate you feel. Unfortunately, you probably conclude that to resolve that, you need to eliminate even more. And on it goes until you are so restricted by your editing of yourself and others that the built-up frustrations ignite a take-off to the empty breath.** It wipes the slate clean, so you perceive everything as it is what it is,* and thus are equally entertained by so-called bad things as good ones.

 

When you justify a feeling with something you judge to be wrong, you disguise the feeling behind a mental story of being treated unfairly and thus feel huffy. But you only pretend to feel this because it fits in your story which hides from yourself and others that you actually feel frightened.

You are afraid of everybody because, again and again, you have avoided the awareness of what you judge to be feelings of darkness in yourself by projecting them on others. Hence you feel guilty and constantly go in fear of their retaliation. This would be too shameful to tell when you feel attacked, so you invent a story that justifies that you feel something else caused by somebody. Hence they appear to be treating you bad and you to be innocent and good, so you can conclude there are no feelings of darkness in yourself.

This set up makes you feel stressed, which you, of course, blame somebody else for by making up a story that disguises you are stressed, so you can perceive others to be disturbed and you as relaxed, while you stresses on, and, therefore, maintain the tensions in the body and its attitude of attack/defence. Read more about that here. Everybody else knows you always look for something to attack, but they do not say anything because they do the same. That is why they recognise it in you.

To hide that you hate the whole world, you meet in special groups where everybody treats each other per a collectively agreed way of being united, for example by hugging and sharing. It is not love, though, but a wish to hide hatred that unites the group. This nobody wants to acknowledge, least of all they want to speak about in the group because anybody who does not have the self-control to censor themselves to only speak and act within the language of love established by the group, or its guru, is expelled from. And then there is nowhere to go where you can find relief from your despair.

PART 4:
Sometimes a doctor may check the function of a body by knocking on special points to see if the involuntary movements – also called reflexes – works. But, actually, everything you appear to do in the world where there seems to be more than one is involuntary movements. That is unless you work very hard to make a perception of them, so what and where you appear to be looks like it is your choice.

To make the formlessness of that which is you appear as if it is someone special is not easy. It takes many years of going to school plus many special lessons to learn how to exclude what you judge not to be special.

An image of you as someone special is fabricated by postulating automatic reflexes to be of your own choice and suppressing the experience of the natural reflexes not fitting into the image of you, that you want the world to see.

To fabricate this perception, the behaviour of automatic reflexes is translating into something that seems to be an autonomously choice of someone specific. And by learning how to suppress the reflexes that do not fit into this image of being unique and independent, you become a person who seems to do everything by their own choice. In contrast, those judged to be outside of you seem to be doing things against or favouring you by their choice.

Undoing the belief in being someone special is like taking a step into the unknown – but as life cannot be known, that is exactly where you will find it.

The specific appearance of you that, like a puzzle, has been put together through trials and error is believed to be separated from what you have decided not to be and thus perceive to be outside of you so that it seems the world consists of you and different individuals living an autonomous life.

When this is believed to be a game that you are playing, it is easy to play along, but when believed to be real, it is hard work because you always have to suppress the natural flow to appear as someone living your own special life in your own way and pace.

It is so much easier just to go with the flow of the natural reflexes. It also feels so much better because going with the flow, you feel fulfilled, so you do not need to be special. Being nobody is great because then there is not somebody else – and that is so peaceful.

 

Alexius uses no techniques for being connected with the empty breath or having glimpses of enlightenment. It happens by itself. He does not know how come. But when this is possible for him, he is convinced it is for you too. The above is not meant to imply that you need to go through certain phases to bid welcome the enlightenment of that which is one. Alexius went straight to the enlightenment of that which is one. Yet, he bounced back to the experience of being someone definitive in a world where there seems to be more than one before he reached the point of no return. In the experience of being someone in a tangible world, he changes between being the basic self, the special self and in a state of not-knowing. In the latter, he has glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is one, which you can read about in hack #6.2 The enlightenment of that which is one cannot be found in a world where there seems to be more than one, but glimpses of it can.

Alexius uses no techniques for this. Yet, he presents some strategies that can facilitate it. See the article Perceiving the world as symbols of the four aspects of enlightenment – or how to have glimpses of enlightenment.

Being someone who is to be compared to the enlightenment of that which is one, he knows there is no more than that which is one. So he is not longing to ´return to´ the formlessness of oneness but enjoys pretending to be what and where he is not – just like within the context of where he pretends to be, he sometimes has fun pretending to be somebody in the virtual world of a game. In the enlightenment of that which is one, there are no experiences of a world where there seems to be more than one. Nor are there any memories of them because to remember something requires more than one and there is no more than that which is one. For the same reason, there is no experiences at all.

When he has had his fun doing that, he intends to bid welcome the enlightenment of that which is one with no intention of returning to the consciousness of being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one.

 

APPENDIX:
It is not something personal when the special self blames everybody for being wrong. They are just a means to get rid of whatever the special self perceives as unacceptable in itself so that it can feel good by making them look bad.

Suppose the special self accuses someone of being a dictator and states it by saying you are evil. In that case, it does not necessarily mean that the special self wants to hide a secret wish in itself to dominate. It is more likely that it wants to hide what perceiving someone to be a dictator makes it feel. It could be anger or desperation. Or maybe stubbornness that the special self needs to deny in itself to maintain the belief in being open-minded. It could also be hatred or a basic feeling of not being good enough, which it wants to hide by blaming a perceived dictator for having caused by being unjust.

But whatever feeling the special self excludes from its consciousness of who it is by blaming somebody else for having caused it, the feeling will return to its awareness as a feeling caused by itself when there is nobody to blame for it. To avoid that, the special self is always on the lookout for a scapegoat. For example, if the spouse that it divorced was its primary scapegoat, it probably continues an inner conversation with the spouse until a replacement is found.

This is not to say that one should stop blaming others because if you do that, you miss a perfect opportunity to see what you hide in yourself by blaming them. Having exposed it, you can deal with it where it is made, namely in yourself. Having done that, you do not need to hide and thus not to spent time finding scapegoats to feel okay.

There is probably no faster way to expose a problem of yours than to blame others for having caused it. There probably is no quicker way to resolve the exposed issue than to use its unpleasant energy for a take-off to the empty breath. Doing that, it only takes it one second to wipe the slate clean (read more about that here), so you are restored as the basic self and feels renewed. You do not even have to understand the exposed problem or know what it is to ignite a take-off to the empty breath. All you need is to feel the frustration entirely.

BASIC – SPECIAL SELF

The special self* believes everything would be much better if others would listen to it and follow its lead. Yet, it seldom has a solution to the things it points out as wrong – at least not one that can be implemented. Its primary focus is to find faults in others so they can be blamed for having caused its negative feelings, and they, therefore, are disassociated from the special self, which thus appears to be positive.

Since blaming others for its own negativity makes the special feel guilty, it feels relieved when somebody else is convicted for a crime. This makes it feel that the guilty one has been found, and it, therefore, does not need to fear being punished for making others wrong to make itself look right.

It is crucial for the special self not to feel any emotion as it is so that the image it has made of itself does not crack. Hence it suppresses all feelings and become so numb that it cannot feel anything but the fear of them surfacing. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Should you have conditioned yourself to feel relaxed when you hear a specific kind of music, you find yourself as a part of a story, where you feel what you should feel every time you hear this music. In other words, you do not feel what you feel but what you imagine you should feel in this situation. And as most of what you believe in feeling rests on your conditioning, you are hardly ever in touch with your emotions but what you have been conditioned to feel. This suits the special self very well. It does not want to feel its feelings as they are, but how it imagines them according to the story, it has made up of who it is.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The basic self knows there is no need to unite anything in the world because all of its experiences are produced in the brain, so they are already side by side – just like everything is together on your hard disk or in the cloud even though they seem to be separated on your screen. The special self, on the other hand, believes all experiences are created by itself from here and there and thus not together. Hence it tries to control them to unite them or create some kind of consistency or synchronicity. But since every experience is made and regulated by the brain and not you, this is impossible.

But it is possible to make a perception of the experiences created by the brain so that everything that does not attest to you being independent is excluded from it. Since the perception of the excluded is dumped in the experience of vulnerable parts of the body, the special self ends up having psychosomatic problems.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

In the past, the special self made up a story of hate and revenge to use as the foundation for how to perceive the present so that it seems to justify its hatred and confirm its past judgment of others as evil. And since the past, therefore, appears to repeat itself, the special self can rest assured in its perception of itself as good and others as bad.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If somebody triggers an old feeling of rejection in the special self, it first interprets this as an attack on its entity, next it justifies feeling rejected with the attacker. Since the focus, therefore, seems to be on the attacker, the feeling appears to be there and, thus, to have left the special self. Should the attacker expose this projection, the special self points out something from the past that makes the attacker feel guilty. In this way, the special self succeeds in feeling good by making somebody else look bad.

4.3 The psychological and physical sphere does not mix [draft]

If you concentrate a lot, you might sense something that appears to be a person in this image. And if you extend this experience by imagining how the person is, you seem to experience something real. But if you do not focus on seeing something specific, you will not experience anything definable in this image that can define you as someone definitive. Thus you are well on your way back to that which is one because there is nobody in the picture – nor are somebody looking at it. In most cases, you do not have to read Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings in a particular order. But in the case of this article, you may benefit from having read hack #4.2 The brain´s script and how to perceive it to feel happy. It is about the perception ´it is what it is,´ and how it syncs you with the brain’s script, so you feel satisfied.

PREFACE:
In a world of duality, everything comes in pairs, such as physical and non-physical. The opposing elements in a pair have different functions that complement each other. For example, you cannot breathe out without breathing in and vice versa. Although it is unrealistic to mix the elements in the duality pairs, it is pretty common to believe that physical and non-physical issues can be integrated. However, this is like trying to blend breathing in and out. You fuck up everything.

That said since non-duality is formless and therefore endless, duality is a fantasy. Hence everything in a world of duality, regardless of appearing to be physical or not, is as airy as a dream. In other words, it is only within the context of duality that it seems something is substantial or unsubstantial. However, since you assume to be someone substantial who reads something intangible, you believe to be in a world of duality.

You cannot undo that belief if you do not live by the basic rule of duality, namely that everything comes in pairs and instead separate or combine the elements of the duality pairs. Therefore, this hack explores how to correct the mistake that physical and non-physical issues can be connected.

PART 1:
Have you tried sitting in a bathtub and imagined there is a hidden world in the drops of the steam coming up from the hot water? Or have you looked at a painting of persons and sensed their emotions? What you perceive to be there is make-believe because nobody is in a picture or in the steam from the bathtub. Nevertheless, imagination can make it appear like something is going on in a lifeless painting or a heat stream.

Depending on the thoughts projected onto the persons appearing to be in a painting, you will experience them negatively or positively. And if you sense this is caused by them and not you, it feels like the people in the painting are alive. But it is a fantasy. There is nobody but you. And that is also a fantasy because it takes more than one to be somewhere, and there is no more than that which is one since it is formless and therefore endless.

This illustrates that what and where you experience being is made from fragments of things you imagine to see outside of oneness. It does not explain, though, who imagines seeing this? It is impossible because there is nothing outside of oneness since it is endless, nor is there something inside it, as that calls for more than one. Therefore, as nobody has the experience of something, there is no reasonable way to explain why somebody seems to be reading this. If there were, it would be authentic.

That is why so many like to ask, Who am I? They reckon their question proves there is an answer that establishes their existence. But this is just as crazy as to ask who the writer of this article is and assume the author exists in the article. There is nobody in it, neither in the world where you believe in being because reality is that which is one, and it takes more than one to be somewhere.

But here we are – or appear to be – in a world where there seems to be more than one. What to do about it? Nothing because doing something is what makes you appear to be real.

The brain always chooses what is best for everybody because that is what you are since the experience of others is a fiction made in your brain.

This does not mean that you should not deal with the problems that seem to arise in a world where there seems to be more than one. But since the brain is the author of this fiction, it is the brain, not you, that does something if you accept it is in charge. The belief that you are the master and can make the body perfect comes from your misperception of the experiences produced by the brain. For example, you think you can get rid of orange peel, obtain six-packs, or something else that goes against the body’s nature.

Nevertheless, you make it easier for the body – and yourself since you believe in being inside it – if you do not project your ideas of perfection onto the body but keep them in the mental sphere in which thoughts are fleeting. Hence you do not feel the urge to manifest them. 

Acknowledging mental and physical reality as separate systems makes your appearance as someone substantial in a tangible world feels so pleasant that you can leave it without clinging to being someone there.

Having denigrated others to feel good about yourself, you live in constant fear of attack from those you bad mouthed. Hence you turn the body into a weapon of defence or attack by respectively keeping your shoulders deadlocked in a backwards or forward position.

Since the muscles, therefore, become inflexible and eventually start to ache, you have actually used the body to attack yourself. The solution to this is to acknowledge, you have chosen this massacre on your body. By doing that, the body is not to blame. Thus it relaxes.

PART 2:
In the mental and/or emotional sphere, you perceive yourself as someone in a body defined by time and space. But as that which is you is formless, and therefore without beginning and end, it is painful to be reduced to someone with a beginning and an end.

Yet, it is pain that makes you appear as you are someone in a material world. When you pinch yourself to determine whether you are dreaming or not, the experience of pain makes you decide to be someone substantial in a tangible world.

Since feeling alive, therefore, is bracket together with being in pain, you need to suffer. And since your sole existence as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one is based on the denial of the formlessness of oneness, denial is also what you resort to in making the pain bearable. You simply turn down the worst part of it, namely the psychological distress, by projecting it onto the body. As a side effect, that appears to be more real when the projection, eventually, seems to cause physical discomfort.

At that point, you have forgotten that the pain in the body is caused by yourself, so you choose to blame something outside of you for the discomfort. Thus your body turns into a weapon of defence or attack against the world. To effectuate this, you keep the shoulders pushed forward into a defensive position or pushed back into a place of constant readiness to attack.

The tightened body makes you feel safer and as if you are in control. Especially if you push one of the shoulders upwards to further constrict that area. This prevents the signals in the body from passing through the blockage to the brain. Therefore, as it cannot process them, you can mentally explain them, which seems less frightening than feeling them.

Women tend to allow the body´s flow of emotions to reach the brain. But they prevent the expression of feelings processed by the brain by replacing them with a mental story in which a woman knows the most about feelings, both her own and others. Her made-up insight she uses to manipulate others into acknowledging her as a unique and caring person.

A way to keep unwanted feelings hidden inside the body is to hold the mouth closed, even when you smile. Thus no unpleasant emotion slip out. However, you cannot selectively exclude one feeling. Men, generally, also want to be acknowledged as unique. To achieve that, they prevent the body´s flow of emotions from reaching the brain. Thus men can make up a story where they, like a hero, do the right thing regardless of feelings. Unfortunately, this way of hiding their feelings mostly stiffens the left side of the body, whereas the woman´s approach hardens the right side. There are many ideas to restore the body´s flow. But since the disruption is caused by the idea that you can control your appearance, the problem is not in the body but the mental sphere, where there is a basic notion of not being good enough as you are.

The brain loves when its experiences make you believe you are something, so you do not discover what you experience in being is fantasy it has made from nothing. Read more about that in hack #4.1 The basic self versus the special one.

This is a misunderstanding based on the perception that you are not the person the brain has created. However, accepting that the person you experience to be is developed by the brain, you feel cherished because the brain loves its creations.

This acceptance comes from not suppressing your reaction to what you believe in being. Thus it can be perceived as ´it is what it is,´ which reveals that if your response is feeling abandoned, it is complemented with being supported because everything comes in pairs in a world of duality. Therefore, you feel complete as you are.

Therefore, as you do not need to interfere with the body’s flow of feelings, it can communicate with the brain, which knows how to heal the problems you have caused in the body. However, this does not mean you disregard common sense. Instead of interfering with the body, you can assist it by softening it via far-infrared heating pads, give it massage them with the help of Blackroll and energise it by Nordic Walking. Maybe the physical symptoms caused by your misuse of the body will never be entirely fixed. But if the remaining problems are perceived like the basic self would do, namely as ´it is what it is,´ you do not experience these limitations as something to prevent you from feeling complete. Thus you can enjoy the belief in being someone definitive while slowly but surely having it undone.

PART 3:
To distract yourself from experiencing anger as an emotion you have, it is excluded from your awareness by dumping it in the body’s darkness – at least, that is how a psychologist explains it. But immaterial issues cannot be hidden in something material. So what really happened is that you combined the psychological pain with how you felt a vulnerable spot in the back, for example.

When you once have concluded your anxiety is caused by physical pain, you by reflex look for the same connection every time you are worried. Hence you automatically search the body for a flaw that can explain you feel worried. That is until you do not try to explain away your worries, but perceive them as ´it is what it is.´

This reveals they are in a constant interaction with calmness, so they can define each other. Therefore, since you cannot feel worried without being calm and vice versa, they confirm each other. Hence there is no need to get rid of your worries to feel calm.

So since the irritation coming from the psychological problem is experienced to be the same as the discomfort coming from a physical issue in the back, the psychological problem seems to have disappeared. That is why you, hereafter, automatically combine an immaterial problem with a material one to make it go away.

However, this fusion is an illusion because a psychological issue cannot be combined with a physical one. Thus, its perceived result, namely a psychosomatic disorder, is impossible to heal it is seen as two problems. A psychological one that is felt as anxiety for something weird and diffused. And a physical problem experienced as more straightforward and matter-of-fact.

Do not try to analyse or understand those two feelings. Instead, start off by experiencing your emotional issue unedited and then perceive your reaction to that as ´it is what it is.´ This takes the edge of the psychological problem. Thus there is nothing unpleasant you want to hide by combining it with the experience of physical pain.

Therefore, since the body does not feel attacked by something non-physical, it does not need to defend itself by attacking this and that. Instead, it uses its energy on fixing physical problems. Be aware, this is not the function of Alexius´ Duality Hacks. They do not heal the body but the sick belief that someone is in it.

But even though Alexius´ Duality Hacks ´only´ heal the belief that you are someone in a body, having that belief undone, ever so slightly, you do not feel to interfere with the body’s ways. Instead, you want to assist it like you support a car with electricity and send it to the garage for a checkup once in a while. In other words, regarding an imagined physical/psychological combo, you may call for professional assistance to solve the material part of it.

In the case of Alexius, he uses nootropics to assist the brain and Blackroll and far-infrared heating pads in supporting his body. This is not to say you should do the same. Bodies are different, so your body may ask for something else. If in doubt, consult a health care professional.

The body is experienced more substantial when you project psychological issues on it, whereas witout those projection it is experienced as transparen. Hence it is neither seen as bad nor good but as ´it is what it is.´ The makes you feel free and not constraint like when the body is seen as a manifestation of your unbodied issues.

However, in both cases, the body remains the same because psychological projections do not change the body – only the mental sphere where they are conceived.

If pain in the mind is not denied the words that seems to cause the pain cannot hurt, but words projected onto the body – your own or somebody else´s – seems to be able to hurt and confirm the believe, that you are a person to be defined by time and space.

Feelings or thoughts you do not like, you hide from your awareness by imagining they can be dumped in the body. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

APPENDIX:
As a metaphor for the bodily and the mental sphere, think of a movie you watch on your screen. Everything in the film is a simulation of the physical world and only that. The mental sphere cannot be seen. It is something you add yourself to the movie. Yet, it does not change anything but your perception of it.

The same applies to the world where we appear to be. It consists solely of matter, and so do you. But contrary to a body in a movie, your body has feelings. But only physical ones. If there seem to be psychological feelings in it, you have projected them onto the body to make it appear more important or to the emotions more substantial. It could also be that you want to hide psychological issues from your awareness behind something physical.

But just like nothing changes in a movie, regardless of what you project onto it, nothing is transformed in your body when you project non-bodily issues on it. It only seems so when you imagine it in the mental sphere.

Please be aware, this metaphor is made within the reality of duality. In non-duality, there is nothing tangible or intangible because there is no division like there appear to be in a world of duality. However, appearing to be in such a world, you must play the game of duality if you want to end it. This does not mean you have to understand it or make an effort, like in a board game you simply move by the dice. The meaning you assign to the result is perceived as ´it is what it is.´ Therefore, since it turns out to be twofold, you are in sync with duality.

To exist is an illusion because it requires more than one to be conscious about something and there is no more than that which is one since it is formless and therefore endless.

Happiness cannot be found. It comes effortlessly all by itself [draft]

The brain has installed an awareness in the self it has created, so the self can feel entertained by having conscious experiences of itself. But if the consciousness does not accept it is a product of the brain, it composes a perception of itself as independent and part of something bigger than the brain. PART 1:
Although it is straightforward to sync with the stream of thoughts that constitute the brain´s script – especially because that happens effortlessly when you do not interfere and results in feeling entertained – most do not want to sync with the brain. They think it is stupid and want to do things at their way and pace. That is why they choose to make a perception of the brain´s script where they seem to be free of it.

To achieve this, they spent much time and energy on excluding those elements of the script that does not fit into the image they want to produce of themselves as an independent being. But their apparent independence does not result in feeling good but not good enough.

Ultimately speaking, independence is an illusion, as there is no more than that which is one. But also, in the context of a world where there seems to be more than one because the brain makes all your experiences. So just like in a dream, everything happens there.

And also, like in a dream, the thoughts the brain uses to construct the experiences of a world where there seems to be more than one are beyond the control of any other than the brain. It has, however, made a pool of thoughts from where the self, it has created to have these experiences, freely can pick the thoughts it wants for the perception of them.

Both the creator and the created, namely the brain and the self, need this to happen. The perception of the experiences seems to establish them as something and thus prevent the brain which makes them and the one believing to have them to be exposed as nothing. Regardless your perception is in sync with the brain´s script or not, you cannot plan for something to happen that is not scripted. Fortunately, you have no need to plan for anything if your perception is in sync with the script. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

There is nothing spontaneous about the basic self –  just like a violinist is in sync with the notes of the classical composition it is playing, the basic self is in sync with the brain´s script. Nor the violinist or the self has room for improvisation, nor any regret because everything is already set.

Should you wonder, if you are in sync with the brain´s libretto, you are out of sync, because you have no doubts when in sync.

PART 2:
Whether your perception is in sync with the brain´s script or not, you will follow it by the letter. You do not have to like it, though. It can be perceived in any way you fancy. However, if you want to feel connected, your perception must relate to the script as it is and not as you reckon it should be per religious, socialistic or other concepts, for example. In the latter case, your perception is out of sync, wherefore you feel disconnected.

But regardless, the perception is in sync with the experiences created by the brain, it gets what it wants, namely that its experiences created from nothing are established as something, wherefore you appear to be someone substantial in a tangible world. Since this is how the brain intends it to look, it rewards you with shots of happiness. However, if your perception is out of sync with the brain, you have to look for joy yourself. Not because the brain withhold it from you but because you reject it. You want to do everything in your way and time.

Experiencing to be someone who is doing something in a world defined by time and space, you are in the brain´s domain because that is where the experience of it is fabricated. Therefore, when your perception is in sync with the brain’s thoughts to render this experience, they do not trouble but soothe you. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

But maintaining a perception of being in control is frustrating. For example, suppose you want to strictly follow a diet instead of the signals coming from the body. In that case, the natural sense of being hungry is judged as unnatural, so instead of going with the perception automatically generated concerning your appetite, you twist the perception into something aligned with the philosophy of your diet. Therefore, since your natural instinct is repressed, you do not get the happiness of being in sync.

The same happens if you watch a movie and expect it to fit into your ideas on spirituality and therefore avoid having a natural and effortless perception of the film but uses much effort to twist it into something that seems to confirm how stupid non-spiritual people are. But as you thereby have repressed the movie’s script, you will not enjoy it as the director intended it to be.

So why does hardly anybody want to perceive the brain´s script as it is? Generally, because they think they, not the brain, are in charge. Fortunately, you do not have to change this misunderstanding. Instead, you just choose to perceive your reaction to the present moment as ´it is what it is.´ This syncs you with the brain´s script.

Getting used to choosing this perception is only a matter of time before you do not have to choose it because you feel so entertained by the script that a perception in sync with it automatically pops up.

No matter what way you go and why you reckon to do it, you are going that way because the brain has told you to do so. Having a perception in sync with its playbook, obstacles on the way adds to the entertainment, just like they are supposed to do. But having made up a perception where you are in charge, the same obstacles will add to the stress from continually having to figure out the way. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

PART 3:
Being in sync with the brain´s script does not ensure you do the right thing. Only the special self feels so wrong that it is concerned about being and doing right. When in sync with the script, It is unnecessary to do the right thing because being wrong is just as entertaining as being right. Nor is there something to make better. The brain´s script is the only option you have if you want the experience of being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one.

Should you not want that, all you need is to not be in sync with the script. However, not like the special self who revolts against it and thus depends on it. To be free of with script, you just ignore it, which is done by not making a perception like the special self that states ´I know what it is,´ nor like the basic self who declares ´it is what it is´ but simply say ´dunno what it is.´ Doing that, the perception does not ratify the experiences the brain produces of you as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. Hence you are in a state of not-knowing from where you can bid welcome the enlightenment of that which is one or go back to the consciousness of being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one.

In the enlightenment of that which is one, you are not someone anymore and never was since. That requires more than one, and oneness is formless, so there is no more than that which is one. But suppose you are not ready to undo the belief in being and having more than that which is one. In that case, you return to the consciousness of being someone definitive with the slate wiped clean, so you happily can go on as the basic self until you feel so joyous that you cannot ask for more. Hence the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one is undone.

APPENDIX:
Since it is the sum of your memories that constitute what and where you believe in being, and that is stored in the brain, what and where you experience to be, regardless it seems to be material or spiritual, is in the brain. And since that has an end, so does what and where you believe in being. But since oneness is formless and therefore endless, everything limited by time and space is an illusion.

Nevertheless, it is pretty fun to play a game where it seems possible to be someone with a beginning and an end if your perception of it is in sync with how it is set up by the creator of this illusion, namely the brain.

4.2 Control is the fear of not being good enough

All the experiences believed to be yours or others are made by your brain. It stores the memories that you believe to constitute what you and others are. Therefore, the appearance of you and others as substantial beings in a tangible world is the brain and vice versa. This also applies to experiences considered spiritual. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Even though the brain deceives you by making experiences that seem to establish you as someone substantial in a tangible world, it is not your enemy. On the contrary, the brain just wants to make you happy. If that is not how you feel, you have most likely disassociated yourself from the brain´s experiences. Instead of perceiving them as they are, you perceive them as they should be per a specific religion or philosophy that you fancy.

But since everything in this perception revolves around you knowing better than the brain, and since you do not know who you are, it is hard work to make it look like you, and not the brain, knows the best. And though you claim this, you blame the brain for feeling stressed. Hence you meditate or force your body into strange positions to cut off the brain, assuming this will make you feel free from its perceived tyranny and replace frustration with fulfilment.

Metaphorically speaking you should eat all thoughts with much pleasure, because they are just as sweet as you.

However, the rejection of some or all thoughts as the root of evil does not result in completion but loss. On the other hand, should you perceive all thoughts as presents from the brain, they will not seem to cause loss, nor abundance, but the quiet happiness that comes from being blessed. The thoughts coming from the brain constitute what you appear to be and what you seem to experience because what and where you experience being is nothing but a construction of thoughts manufactured by the brain.

To sum it up, the brain renders a self in which it installs a consciousness so the self can perceive itself as a substantial being by having conscious experiences of the tangible world that the brain fabricates as if it is outside of the self. Thus, the brain is the same as what and where you experience being.

You try to restrict the only friend you have, namely the brain, by dividing the thoughts it produces into good and evil. Then you suppress the evil ones by meditating or projecting them onto others to appear as only good and thus beyond the brain´s script of duality, where everything comes in pairs. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Ultimately speaking, you are not the brain or anything else because there is no more than that which is one, and it takes more than one to be anything. Consequently, this article, just like what you appear to be, is nothing disguised as something.

Trying to change something, therefore, is like changing the colour of your hair. Though the new tone makes you look different, the original colour remains the same underneath it. Yet, more or less everybody believes that changing their look will make them able to get more money, power, love, peace, silence or whatever they think will make them special and more appreciated.

Control is the fear of not being good enough to be affirmed as someone in the world of something.

This wish to change ourselves often starts in early childhood, where we learned that when we changed our appearance into something our parents considered to be more lovable, we would get more attention and hence a feeling of being loved. Read more about that here. Consequently, most have concluded that by controlling themselves, they can manipulate others into liking them.

Several events can have led to this conclusion. Maybe your parents forced you to use the toilet before you were ready. In an attempt to please them and be the child they wanted, you decided to control your urination by tightening the muscles in the loin. However, the price of getting their ´love´ was a damaged body. The premature constriction of the muscles blocked the natural flow in the biological system, so the communication between the body and the brain was disrupted.

Therefore, as the brain could not support the body, it tried to fix the problems in its own way. The blockage in the loin, it attempted to solve by balancing it with a problem in the shoulder, neck or jaw. It is often the latter because it makes it possible to keep a specific expression in place as if you are happy with those around you.

The life of a self has been planned by the brain, and it cannot be altered. But the perception of it can be changed, so it seems to be in charge of itself. That is done by making up stories that, in retrospect, establish that everything is going according to the plan of the self. If not, the brain is blamed. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

But this further disrupted the communication between the brain and the body. And though you can diminish the problems in the upper body via massage and whatnot, the relaxation will not last because the hardened loin will soon reinforce the issues in the upper body to balance out the stiffness in the lower body.

Hence you will never feel the healing the natural flow of a biological system adequately hooked up with the brain brings about. Instead, you feel held back by something you cannot find – especially when you try to find that in the body and not in what has caused the blockage, namely the perception of yourself as inferior. In other words, if you do not manipulate others to love you by meddling with your body, the natural flow of the biological system is not disrupted by your interference. Thus the brain can use it to heal the body when there is a physical problem.

A straightforward way to correct how you feel about yourself is to perceive that as ´it is what it is.´ This reveals that you are good enough as you are. Therefore you are set free, and so are those you have deemed to imprison you. Ultimately, the solution is to undo the belief in being someone, as that means there is nobody to misinterpret anything. However, this hack is about having a good time as someone while having the belief in being that undone. So we go on with the brain´s script.

As the brain´s script is fixed, the exact same tensions in the loin would have occurred, whether or not you perceived you had to adjust to your parents to get their love in your childhood. But had you perceived yourself to be good enough as you were, your perception would have been in sync with the brain´s script, and the tension in the loin would not be a psychosomatic but a physical problem. And the latter is much easier to deal with.

The above explanation of cause and effect is not entirely correct. Nothing adds up in a world where there seems to be more than one because it is an illusion. There is no more than that which is one since it is formless and therefore endless. That is what the explanations in Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings are meant to illustrate. Hence they only work when used to expose a world where there seems to be more than one is a fantasy.

This explanation is also a fantasy, and so is the idea that somebody is making or having it – just like nobody, in particular, is causing or having a dream, and there is nothing in it. Hence Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings is not a new philosophy with the answers to the world’s problems or why and how we appear to be there as if we are separated from each other. There is no answer to that or anything else because there is no more than that which is one, and it takes more than one to explain something.

Ultimately speaking, therefore, it does not matter if you are in sync with the brain´s script and thus as happy as made to be, or perceive the script in such a way that that you appear to be more exceptional than scripted and hence a special self who independently of the script looks for its own happiness. However, as happiness comes from being in sync with the brain´s script, the special self never finds it. Read more about this in hack #4.1 The basic self versus the special one.

That is why, in the context of the world where we appear to be, everything seems to be much easier when one´s perception is in sync with the brain´s script. Hardly any thoughts are needed for that, and as they compile themselves from the pool of thoughts the brain has made for this (read more about that here), there are no stray thoughts to disturb you. In contrast, it requires much effort to make a perception where you appear to be more special than the basic self, which the brain has created, requires much effort.

You must seek out special thoughts to make this happen, and by doing so, they start to scamper around and fight each other, which feels stressful – especially as it affects how you see the world. Therefore, the special self concludes, it is best to get rid of some or all of the thoughts, or at least slow them down via meditation or something else that supports the idea of being in control.

This, however, enhances the problem, which is that the special self perceives itself to be the master and the brain its servant. It is the other way around. So if the special self honours the brain for producing the experiences of being someone by perceiving them as they are and not as they could be, happiness comes all by itself. Actually, so much that the few thoughts required for having a perception in sync with the brain are unnoticed. See also Without the noise of thoughts.

Everything is always going your way. If it does not seem so, you are not going your way. Not in the sense that you are going the wrong way. That is not possible. In short, if we do not try to edit the perception the brain automatically generates of ourselves, we are in sync with it and thus rewarded with so many shots of happiness that we feel loved and love everybody as ourselves (read more about that here).

As that means you do not spend time looking for happiness, you can read Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings without looking for something in them to make you happy. Hence Alexius´ Duality Hacks reveal the nothingness of what and where you believe in being while you have fun reading about them.

Many try to solve the feeling of not being good enough by finding somebody who will admire them, as they mistake that for being loved. Others may clean the house, go shopping, eat, smoke, have sex, or whatever makes them forget they do not feel wanted. However, most try to resolve this by making others wrong. But none of this works, because feeling unwanted comes from how you think the world should respond to you and not how it actually does it.

The root of this mispercection can be found by walking down memory lane. But it probably takes a long time and you may miss it. Fortunately, the misperception can be corrected right awat by perceiving your inferioty as ´it as it is what it is.´ This takes the sting out of the feeling, so whatever appeared to make you feel wrong does not have an affect on you. Therefore, the next time you by reflex make a perception that implies you are not good enough you laugh because´it as it is what it is

The basic self cannot be changed, but it can be perceived as special

PART 1:
When you do not suppress your feelings by holding back the breath or alter its natural rhythm through yoga, for example, you are effortlessly in sync with the basic self, the brain has made to appear in the experiences it continuously creates of a world where there seems to be more than one. Moreover, since very few thoughts are required to maintain this fantasy, their flow does not seem disturbing but entertaining.

That is until the consciousness, the brain has installed in the basic self to be aware of itself, thinks it knows better than its maker and plots to become independent. However, changing the basic self into a special one requires a more complicated construction of thoughts than the simple one accumulated by the brain to uphold the basic self.

To achieve this, the rogue consciousness perceives one of the experiences created by the brain to be so fearsome that you hold back the breath long enough for the thoughts flowing with it to be imprisoned in the gap from where they force their way out by multiplying themselves.

In reality, nothing is missing because reality is that which is one, and it takes more than one for something to be lost.

When the thoughts in this way have escaped the gap, they continue their frantic movement. That makes the special self feels more energetic than the basic one but also less relaxed. But the rogue consciousness does not want to slow down the restless stream of thoughts to get the rest that comes from being in sync with the basic self because that would stop the thoughts from multiplying. Hence there are not enough thoughts to make up a plausible story of why it is more exciting to be a master of itself than a servant of the brain.

To make this story, the special self organises the hectic thoughts into pairs. But not the nonjudgmental pairs of duality where the opposing elements support each other (see hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality). First, the special self constructs a pair that consists of a judge and an executioner. The judge determines which thoughts are good and bad, and the executioner excludes the thoughts that have been sentenced as bad, so the thoughts deemed as good can be compiled into a construction that showcases the special self as better than the basic one.

Second, the special self decides that the judge and the executioner are in charge of all the combinations generated by their cooperation. This image of a self, perceived as special and independent of the brain, the rogue consciousness keeps together by hiding the excluded thoughts in obscure parts of the body. Therefore, since the suppressed energy messes up the body, the natural flow of the breath is interrupted and thus, the stream of thoughts used to keep the body healthy. However, the special self is willing to pay this price because the disruption of the breath results in more thoughts. And it believes they will make it more clever than the brain, so it can keep the body healthy itself.

As you can see, to be special and independent requires much work. And since it is not rewarded with a sound body but one with psychosomatic disorders, the special self does not feel entertained but depressed, contrary to the basic self who is happily tuned into the brain´s script. This does not necessarily mean that the basic self has a perfect body, but that if it gets sick, it is not caused by a psychological problem but a physical one. And this the body knows how to deal with. However, the script for the body may have been stitch together so that parts of it do not function so well. In that case, it is not possible to completely restore the body.

But this makes no difference to the basic self because its happiness does not depend on appearance. On the contrary, sometimes a weak body may even be helpful. The poor condition of Alexius´ body, for example, helps him to take it easy physically and in an effortlessly way, use his energy to write Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings.

Please be aware, you cannot be anything but the basic self. It is impossible to change it. But it is possible to perceive, so it seems to be special. But since perceiving yourself as unique is out of sync with the brain´s script, you feel confused and not entertained.

Fortunately, if not editing the confusion, its unbounded energy ignites a take-off into the empty breath. That makes you indifferent to the extraordinary experiences that seem to come from perceiving yourself as special. Thus you feel entertained by the brain´s script as it is. The special self keeps coming back to Facebook or a similar media, where messages and likes seem to confirm its specialness. If not continually established as unique, it starts doubting itself and thus loses its sense of control, which it fears more than anything else. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

PART 2:
What you appear to be is a construction of thoughts compiled by the brain so that it feels as if you have a conscious experience of being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. In that thought construction of the brain, everything has a counterpart, so it can be defined by that and experienced as something authentic by someone. Therefore, as every experience comes in pairs, you cannot have love without hate, for example. In other words, you must know hatred to experience love and vice versa.

When your perception is in sync with this thought construction of the brain, separation is not seen as a means to make you better than others but to experience a world where there seems to be more than one. Thus hate and negativity, for example, are not considered as something to avoid but to help you experience love and positivity. Read more about that here.

But if your perception is out of sync with this dualistic thought construction, negative thoughts are seen as something that should be excluded from one´s perception of itself, so one appears to be only positive. This is accomplished by projecting one´s negative thoughts onto others and/or obscure parts of one´s body. But without negativity, there is no positivity in you. Thus you are never turned on. It is like trying to turn on a TV without the negative pole of the electrical wire. Nothing happens.

Being out of sync with the brain occurs when the consciousness that the brain has installed in the self goes rogue and makes a special perception of the present moment based on frustrations of the past or hopes for the future, so there seems to be something wrong or missing in the present.

Though the disharmony between the story the special self has made up and the actual events of the present is due to the phoney perception of being independent of the brain, the special self condemns the brain for the discrepancy and praises itself for opening up to new ways, such as coming from the heart. But what the special self actually blames the brain for is its own inadequacy. And since it fundamentally is a product of the brain (read more about that here), the disapproval of the brain is a condemnation of itself.

That is why perceiving to be special entails feelings of depression and stress instead of the happiness and relaxation that comes from not making a special perception but one in sync with the experiences the brain produces. But, unfortunately, hardly anybody knows how it feels to perceive the experiences as they are.

Should they accidentally discard the perception that makes them appear special and stand bare as the basic self, they feel humiliated and unimportant. Were they not so eager to make a difference, they would instead discover the satisfaction of being in sync with their maker, namely the brain.

That said, as it takes more than one to be a basic, special or any other self, and there is no more than that which is one since it is formless and therefore endless, there is no self at all. So if you believe that you are someone reading this, you need to undo the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one. The enlightenment of that which is one fixes that right away. See hack #6.1 From the inward-facing senses through a black hole into that which is one. But you can also enjoy this belief for some time while having it undone.

By being in tune with the basic self the brain has made, the experiences it creates make you feel so good that you, sooner or later, forget to look for more than one. Therefore, since you do not confirm the brain´s rendering of separation, it is out of work, wherefore it falls apart. Thus there are no experiences to hide, there never was or will be more than that which is one.

You are in tune with the basic self when you automatically perceive its experience as ´it is what it is.´Read about that in hack #4.2 The brain´s script and how to perceive it to feel happy. You are also in tune with it when you follow the duality flow. Read about that in hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality.

When the brain wants you to run, it uses the biological system to signal this to the body, which starts running regardless it is believed to belong to a basic or special self. The basic self, as always, feels entertained by following the commands of the brain. But since the special self loathes the brain and its simple ideas of entertainment, running does not make it smile but angry. It believes it has much better ideas to feel good, such as running should be done at a certain speed. But all its totalitarian ideas are restricting and therefore not entertaining. PART 3:
When the consciousness of the basic self goes rogue, it starts to respond like a spell checker. It automatically corrects the interpretation of the thoughts coming from the brain, so the self, which initially was administered by the brain, appears to be self-made and thus independent of the brain.

That is, of course, if the basic self accepts this special interpretation that produces an image of itself out of sync with the thoughts coming from the brain. But that is probably not a problem because, when out of sync, thoughts seem to multiply into endless possibilities of what you can become and have.

Thus most gladly accepts the corrections made by the rogue consciousness, although the price is chaotic and hectic thoughts that no longer are geared towards what is in the best interest of everybody but how you can become and have more.

In other words, when the basic self accepts the spell checking performed by the rogue consciousness, it seems to have been transformed into a special self, which is in charge of itself and thus able to do things independently of the brain, contrary to the basic self which is not in control, nor able to do anything on its own, but just like a zombie follows the commands of the brain.

Yet, being a follower is uncomplicated and relaxing, whereas believing to be independent is complicated and requires much effort to maintain. Exhaustion arises from the latter and vitality from the former. So if you want to have an easy time while appearing to be someone substantial in a tangible world, use one or more of Alexius´ Duality Hacks to enter a state of not-knowing., which restores the basic self by wiping out every perception that is out of sync with the brain.

The essential sorrow, that we feel when believing to be what we are not, and the wish to avoid it, often leads to the fabrication of the special self.

But the sorrow can also be used to ignite a take-off into the empty breath in which it is not sorrow that you sense but compassion with everybody who just like you appear to be what they are not. Hence you stop perceiving them to be separated from you.

However, this may at first seem disappointing. The essential sorrow that comes from being limited by time and space being and thus alienated from the formlessness of oneness is a basic aspect of it. The easy solution to the consuming sense of hopelessness that this entails, therefore, often seems to go with the hectic stream of thoughts making up the special self because it seems to imply there is something to hope for in a world defined by time and space.

Both the basic and the special self is a construction of thoughts. But whereas the basic self is a simple construction made for entertaining, the special self is a very speculative construction made to sow discord by insisting on socialism, nationalism or another ism where those adhering to it are better than others. That is until you do not try to get rid of the hopelessness because the unedited energy of it ignites a take-off into the empty breath and its bliss of not-knowing (hack #5.2 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing).

When you, this time, return from a state of not-knowing to the conscious experience of being someone definitive, you may be more inclined to accept the basic self. But you probably go back and forth between the basic and special self many times before you settle with the fact that as long as you believe to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, it is in your own best interest to be in sync with the stream of thoughts that the brain produces to entertain the self it has made.

If you do not want to be in such a world and want to have the belief that you are there undone, it is not necessary to be the basic self. But it is much easier because, not being special, you sooner or later forget to remember what and where you are, which is what the enlightenment of that which is one patiently is waiting for. Inclusiveness is emptiness – and that is pure bliss [draft]

Once upon a time, Alexius assumed that when he justified feeling annoyed with the world outside of him, his irritation would go away and be replaced by relaxation.

But it was pretty stressful to always be on the lookout for something that he could blame for his irritation so that it did not seem to come from him but from something outside of him. See also the article Every moment is the perfect moment – also for dying in the rainforest about his experiences of this before he was rescued by a helicopter after having been stuck for two days without food and water in the rainforest.

Fortunately, he recognised that when he includes irritation by being it to such an extent that there is nothing else, there is not something to contrast it. Therefore, since the included cannot be categorised, it cannot be experienced to contrast relaxation. Hence there is nothing to label relaxation. Put in short, the apparent difference between the two opposing elements in a contrast is cancelled out when one of them are fully included.

To be fully inclusive does not mean you must go down memory lane to find hidden feelings from the past. Since the past feelings are the foundation for perceiving the present, all that is needed to be fully inclusive is a willingness to include the present moment unfiltered. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

To fully include something does not mean, you laboriously have to make sure every bit of it is included, but that there is a willingness to be nothing but what you include. In other words, it is not about perfection but willingness. Should that be be a bit lukewarm, you are still fully inclusive, if you are willing to include being irresolute.

It is never too late to include something from the past in the present and thus cancels out both the past and the present since the latter builds on the former. This has nothing to do with acceptance or forgiveness because inclusion leaves nothing to accept or forgive. Neither does it have anything to do with embracing or owning your feelings, as that enhances the belief in being someone definitive instead of undoing it.

This does not mean that every little detail must be included. What matters is that this is your intention. And if you are not a hundred per cent sure about that, a willingness to include everything is good enough. In a world defined by time and space, the colours we believe to see are based on the RYB colour model, where the primary colours are red, yellow and blue. These colours are subtracted from the colours of light, where the primary ones are red, green and blue (RGB). Adding the primary colours of the world (RYB) results in black, and so does the primary colours in the colour wheel of professional printing (CMYK). On the other hand, adding the primary colours of light results in white – see the middle in each colour model above. Television and computers, by the way, uses the colours of light. Depending on your conditioning, you will use either the RYB or RGB model to perceive the complementary colour to red, for example. As you can see in the illustration, it is green in the RYB model and cyan in the RGB model. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

In some ways, this inclusion can be compared to what happens when we, for example, experience something as red outside of us. Simultaneously, the brain generates its complementary colour cyan to cancel out the contrasting colours and replace them with a neutral grey inside us. As this happens so fast and most only see the world as conditioned, they do not notice red is complemented with cyan. Least of all, they notice the neutral grey inside them that have replaced the complementary colours. Instead, they hold onto the experience of red as a singular colour in a world outside of them.

This image is a graphic illustration of how the complementary colours of the RGB colour model’s primary hues turn into neutral grey when they are equally combined. The same applies to the complementary colour that emerges by mixing the primary ones. It also applies to the RYB and CMYK colour modes. Plus complementary feelings, such as love and hate. Grey is always the result of combining complementary colours, which you can see illustrated in the image with the square colours. And that cyan is the complementary colour of red, you see if you stare at red for a sustained time – thirty seconds to a minute – and then quickly look at a white surface. There you see the complementary colour, cyan or green, depending on what colour model you have conditioned yourself to live by.

The info about colours is based on Alexius’s research when he was writing a book about colour theory for a Danish Marketing school many years ago.

But let us return to our story about irritation. When included, the apparent difference between irritation and relaxation is not perceived to make a difference. Since this state of neutrality or indifference rubs off on other contrasts, they become neutral, wherefore there is nothing to define you as someone definitive anymore.

In this state of not-knowing, you may get glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is one as ethereal light, celestial music, intangible sensibility or taste. Read Perceiving the world as symbols of the four aspects of enlightenment, if you want to learn how to have glimpses of enlightenment in the form of seeing, hearing, feeling or tasting it.

When the internet is down, the thoughts about what is possible to accomplish in cyberspace fade out. Until the internet returns, so does the image of what you appear to be there.

In some ways this is similar to a state of not-knowing, where thoughts that seem to manifest you as someone definitive are forgotten. Hence there is nobody to attribute an experience with a specific meaning. This nothingness is pure bliss.

But there is not someone to know this before a state of not-knowing is over, and the sweet memories of it reminds you of the bliss that comes from not believing to be definitive.

It is not before a state of not-knowing is over that you, via vague memories, become aware of having been in the bliss of nothing. This is not the same as the enlightenment of that which is one, though, because it takes more than one to be blissful. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

Since there is no awareness of being someone in a state of not-knowing, it is not before it is over that vague memories remind you of the bliss it is to not believe in being someone and thus having glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is one. Be aware, though, this may not always happen, and if it does, remember that these glimpses are not that which is one. It cannot be experienced, as it takes more than one to be aware of something.

As already said, cancelling out the difference between the opposite sides of one contrast – anyone will do – is enough to bring you into a state of not knowing. But since there are many other contrasts, it ends when you again feel disturbed by the experience of something that you compulsive categorise as a specific feeling, for example hate, and, out of habit, try to exclude by justifying it with the world.

However, if you choose to include hatred, you are back in a state of not-knowing. Hate is included in the same way as irritation. In other words, when you are nothing but hatred, so there is not something else and therefore no love to define what you are. Thus you are in the bliss of emptiness.

By not excluding but fully including your feeling of worthlessness, you are nothing but that. Therefore, since there is no contrast to define you as worthless, you cannot be defined and therefore not limited by time and space. Thus you are in a state of not-knowing, which is pure bliss. Instead of cancelling out the apparent difference between the opposite sides of various contrasts by including them one after the other, you can include s fundamental contrast, such as right and wrong, via being nothing but right or wrong.

Since many contrasts are a variation of this one, the apparent difference between the two sides in a myriad of other contrasts is also cancelled out. Therefore, since the experience of being someone definitive falls apart, there is nobody to be bothered about what and where you appear to be. This is a state of not-knowing.

If you want to speed up the undoing of he belief in being someone definitive you include  fundamental contrasts like within and without, past and future, giving and receiving plus high and low. The most basic contrast, however, is expansion and contraction.

If you connect with the empty breath (see the article Take-offs into ´the empty breath´), this rhythmic contrast will slowly but surely undo itself and thereby anything experienced, as it is based on the belief that it is possible to expand something (see the article ´Alone together´ you bid welcome the enlightenment of that which is one)..

In case you prefer going straight to a state of not-knowing without having to deal with contrasts, you include all thoughts and feelings popping up in this very moment, whether they appear positive or negative, associated with the past or whatnot. This is not similar to the concept of living in the now. It is an edited version of a moment, where thoughts and feelings involving the past or the future have been excluded.

If you have not disassociated yourself from something in your personality by blaming others for having caused it, you will not be upset every time you are reminded of you of past exclusion. No worries. As your experience of the present is shaped by the past, the inclusion of a present experience undoes the past as well, and therefore also the definition of you, so next time somebody remind you of the past, there is nobody to be upset about that.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

No need to wonder if hidden feelings from the past has been left out, when you include what you appear to be in the present moment, because that is the sum of the past. You do not even have to worry, if everything in the present moment is fully included, as willingness to so is all that is required.

Being in a state of not-knowing does not mean you do not appear to be someone in a world defined by time and space anymore, but that nobody is worried about it. Hence thoughts and feelings are not considered tools for manifesting you as someone definitive but simply for navigating in a world defined by time and space. Thus, pain can be used to prevent you from walking on a broken leg and fear from stepping out in front of a car.

Meditation is not needed to stop thoughts, when nobody is having them.

In this context, pain does not cause someone to suffer. Neither does fear make anyone frightened because when you do not use thoughts and feelings to establish being someone definitive, they are not experienced to result in anything specific.

Since the experience of you as someone substantial in a tangible world defined by time and space is a construction of thoughts, it falls apart when inclusion undoes the perceived separation of thoughts. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

In other words, thoughts and feelings do not appear to have any effect on you or the world perceived to be outside of you, nor do they seem to have been caused by you or anything else, when they are not excluded and thus included, since that renders them non-definable.

But this state of not knowing, will not last very long if the excitement of being someone definitive in a world defined by time and space seems more attractive than the bliss arising from the emptiness of not-knowing. If so, you probably twist the nothingness into an experience of something definable, for example unconditional love. Then you again appear to be someone definitive experiencing something specific in a world defined by time and space. Should that be your choice, stand by it because you can undo it by doing so.

Trying to understand inclusiveness and categorise when, why or how long you are in a state of not-knowing, before you return to the conscious expereience of being someone defined time and space again, complicate things. To be inclusive is simply to not be exclusive, and as that results in a state of not-knowing, you will not get there through understanding.

Neither will a state of not-knowing last if you do not return to the conscious experience of being someone definitive because after 20 minutes, 45 at most, without the acknowledgement of separation, the enlightenment of that which is one set in, which erases all experiences.

Simply put, as long as you appear to be in a world defined by time and space, a state of not-knowing is on and off. And it is more off than on because if the experience of time and space is not regularly repeated, there does not seem to be something substantial to disguise, there never was or will be anything but that which is one since it is formless and thus without beginning and end. Fortunately, the after-effect of just a split second in a state of not-knowing can last for years. Read more about that in The bliss of nothing.

If boxes like this one in Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings seem disturbing in regard to being focused and centred, you have gotten it right. They are meant to do that.

To be in a state of not-knowing, you must stop caring about being centred, in balance or to focus and concentrate, as that is deeply founded in separating everything into categories, which is a way of excluding the feelings you do not like by placing them in mental boxes.

In regard to getting into a state of not-knowing multitasking is much more beneficial, because it distracts the brain from focusing, so that it becomes difficult to categorise an experience as different from another. PART 1
If you edit the reaction to something to fit the image you have created of yourself, your concept of negativity and positivity tends to get sticky. Thus, after some time, negative thoughts and feelings bring about a constant notion of rejection and the positive ones of approval. Hence you probably avoid negative emotions and seek out positive ones. But just like an electrical wire needs the positive pole as much as the negative one, you need negative thoughts and feelings as much as positive ones to function in a world of duality.

Fortunately, you naturally get them both when not editing the response to your experiences. Therefore, as you do not need them to confirm you are unique, they only remain long enough for you to feel entertained by the interplay of negativity and positivity. Being in sync with your reaction to something as it is and not as you think it should be is like taking a ride on a rollercoaster. You get the polarity of going up and down, but it happens so fast that the fear of going down and the thrill of going up is immediately forgotten. What is left is the same feeling you have after binge-watching a TV show, namely that you are blown out. Therefore, since you eventually forget to ask for more, the belief in being and having more than that which is one is undone.

In cyberspace you cannot get your hands on something physical. That is why nothing from the internet can be combined with the reality of physicality, except at a theoretically level. The same applies to spirituality in a physical world. It cannot be found there. Actually, spirituality and physicality, just like night and day, exclude each other.

So, in the context of the rollercoaster metaphor, the belief in a world of duality is not undone by being detached from the ride but stepping it up and take the full tour with eyes wide open and not holding back. Doing that, you may seem to boil over of hate when it goes down. But when the trip goes up again, you meet the buddy of hate, namely love. And as you do not hold back hatred when you go down, you get so much love going up that, sooner or later, there is no need for more, wherefore there does appear to be more that hides non-duality.

If you want positivity, you must also welcome negativity, as, in a world of duality, everything comes in pairs. In non-duality, you can neither have negative or positive vibes because it requires more than one to have something. PART 2
Although there are many books and courses about how to realise or transform oneself, there is no evidence of anybody actually doing that. The reason is simple. The self is not a fact but a belief. Hence the change of the self is nothing but a shift of conviction.

Sometimes this change is called awakening. But since it has a beginning, it also has an end. And when it ends, the excitement you felt at the beginning cannot suppress the suffering that always comes from the assumption that you are someone definitive. Hence you try to get more awakened or whatever you believe will make you feel right. But as every belief is accompanied by doubt, you never get there.

You cannot experience something as positive without having judged something else to be negative. Thus the negative thoughts is a confirmation of the positive ones and vice versa.

When you try to exclude negativity, darkness, anger or whatever do-gooders have told you are obstacles to feel good, you destroy the foundation of duality. It is made by dividing everything into pairs like positive and negative, light and dark, anger and delight, etc. But since it takes more than one to destroy something, you also enhance the belief in duality.

This ambivalence you can either solve by playing the game of duality or undo it. You play the game of duality by perceiving your reaction to negativity as ´it is what it is.´ This perception reveals your single-minded response to negativity is dualistic. So that if you see negativity as evil, for example, it is shown as paired with good luck. However, it is not good luck that makes you feel satisfied but the interaction of that and evil. Especially, because it sets off the interplay of other pairs of duality.

You undo the game of duality by entirely including what you judge as negative. Then it cannot define positivity, which, therefore, cannot explain negativity. Read more about that in hack #3 Not being exclusive but inclusive is freedom from being someone definitive. In other words, not being exclusive but inclusive, the foundation for duality disappears. So does what you believe in being, as there is nothing definable in non-duality since that requires more than one.

Besides having fun playing the game of duality, it eventually leads to its undoing because everything with a beginning is bound to end. But that seems to take some time. Read more about that in HACK #4 When you begin to live by duality, it is going to end.

PART 4
You do not have to do something to be spiritual. On the contrary, spirituality is that which is one, and it takes more than one to do something. Besides, oneness is formless and therefore endless, so there is nothing but spirituality. In other words, if you seem to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, you are hallucinating.

The peace you look for via mindfulness, quiet music and whatnot does not have the energy to ignite a take-off into the empty breath. Actually, it has so little energy that you probably fall asleep and mistake heaven for being in dreams.

Being angry is a terrific way to see a world where there seems to be more than one is a mirage. That is if you do not try to control the anger because when it is unbounded, it ignites a take-off into the empty breath (read more about that in hack #5.2 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing). In its emptiness, the experiences of something is perceived as nothing.

This does not mean you do not experience separation anymore. But that you do not perceive the apparent differences in the world to make a difference (read more about that in hack #3 Not being exclusive but inclusive is freedom from being someone definitive). Therefore, since the belief in being divided is undone, there is nothing to uphold the experience of a world where there seems to be more than one as real.
