When Alexius many years ago was hired to teach graphic design in an advertising school in Denmark, he had a problem. Even though he had been designing magazines, websites, flyers and ads for companies big and small, he did not know how to do it. Everything he had designed, he did as a medium for the projects so the form of them would highlight their content.

To provide the students with guidelines of how to design, he, therefore, had to deduct ways of designing from his instinctive way of doing it. He wrote, by the way, two books with basic rules of how to do it, and a book on colour theory as well.

If not in the bliss of not believing to be someone, you are speculative

The empty breath cannot help us in regard to knowing how come we appear to be substantial beings separated from each other by time and space, because this is not possible since oneness is formless and therefore endless. How to explain the empty breath?
In regards to passing on guidelines of how to connect with the empty breath and drift in its bliss of emptiness and thus indifference to the belief in being someone definitive, he is in the same situation as when he started teaching design. He had no professional training to refer to. Likewise, he has no second-hand knowledge, he can use as a reference to explaining how to connect with the empty breath.

Neither does he know how to explain, that what and where we experience to be is an artificial construct, designed by the brain to control and manipulate us into believing, that this experience is real and not fabricated by the brain from out of nothing.

But since he is to be compared to the enlightenment of that which is one, he does not believe to in a world where there seems to be more than one, nor does he believe to be someone in that which is one. On the contrary, he is nothing because it takes more than one to be someone, and there is no more than that which is one since it is formless and therefore endless. In other words, what and where we appear to be is a fantasy made from out of nothing, and experienced by nothing.

In this fantasy, however, he knows how to step away from it and be in the state of not-knowing* that the empty breath, like the other duality hacks, entails. Once, in that state, he watched a movie (You Disappear), which quoted the latest scientific explorations about the brain, that might be helpful in realising everything appearing to be something is nothing.

Consciousness is a construction of thoughts comparable to the ones and zeros in a stream of binary code.

The fabrication of something from out of nothing
The short version of these discoveries is that the brain uses five per cent of its capacity to construct an image of a self, that is aware of being someone definitive through the experiences, another small part of the brain continuously fabricate of a tangible world as if it is outside of the self and as if it is the self that experiences this, and, therefore, believe to be someone substantial in a tangible world. Especially because this world seems to cause its thoughts and feelings.

These experiences of an external world the brain claim to process from the frequencies it receives via the sensory system, but this explanation, just like the experiences it fabricates, is a smokescreen to cover up, that it is all made up from nothing. A flower, therefore, is just as unreal as a plastic simulation of it.

Being in the bliss of not believing to be someone is to be empty

Science states, the world we seem to feel and see consists of 99.9999999 per cent empty space. And the rest, despite it also is empty space and as immaterial as a dream, is what we perceive to be elements of matter making up a world defined by time and space. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The experiences interpreted as the most meaningful ones, namely those that seem to define you the most, are stored in the rest of the brain, and as the sum of these memories constitute what you believe to be, you are not just a fabrication of the brain, you and the brain are the same. Every bit of it – not only ten per cent – works to make it appear as if you are someone in a world of something and not just a fantasy made from out of nothing.

Whether an experience seems to be direct or coming from the heart, being physical or spiritual, it has taken the brain a second to generate it. Hence what you believe to be experiencing now happened one second ago. And then again, it never happened, because one second ago there was nothing, and it only seems as if you experience something now because you need to believe this to feel you exist.

The rest of the article is not based on the scientific discoveries revealed in the movie (You Disappear), nor on anything else formulated somewhere else, as to the knowledge of Alexius, nobody has published anything about the empty breath. In the connectedness with the empty breath, the apparent difference between the opposing sides of the contrasts making up the experience of duality is cancelled out. Not in the sense that you do not register them anymore, but that you do not perceive them to make a difference. Thus there are no diversity to attest to you being someone in a world of duality. Consequently, you are in the bliss of nothing.*

The bliss of nothing
Though science seems to know that the experience of something is made from nothing and therefore is make-believe, they go on exploring something as it is real. Here, however, we explore how to see that there is not something at all and therefore not someone seeing it.

The experiences the brain fabricates of a tangible world only seems real if the self that the brain also has created perceives them as something. If not, they are exposed as nothing, likewise the self. To perceive the present experience as nothing, you go back in the empty void from where the brain has twisted it into your current experience of something.

Since that is where the empty breath resides, and it took the brain one second to fabricate your current experience of something, it only takes one second to connect with the empty breath and be in a state of not-knowing and thus the bliss of nothing.* Doing that does not require you to meditate or something else in particular. All that is needed is the willingness to forget what and where you appear to be. Read more about that in the below paragraph The only requirement is a willingness.

If the brain is not kept active in a feedback loop, with thoughts that seems to confirm there is more than involved, for more than 20 minutes, 45 at most, it falls into a coma. Thus you cannot be in the bliss of nothing* very long at a time, if you want to be able to return to a world of something as if you are someone there.  See also the hack 20 minutes, 45 at most in Extra Duality Hacks.

Not knowing what and where you are is the bliss of not believing to be someone

Since you cannot appear to be somewhere, nor in a state of not-knowing,* without the experience of being someone, there is still someone to experience the world of something made up by the brain when in a state of not-knowing*. But the experience of you as someone is so vague that there is not enough consciousness to perceive the apparently different experiences of something to make a difference. Consequently, there is no perception of separation to hide, that although the fantasy of something is a colourful experience, it is pale in comparison with the bliss of nothing.*

Although you probably forget the empty breath, it remains connected with you, because it does not know, that you believe to be someone who is separated from everything in the low-frequency world experienced by the outer senses.

Yet it senses the stress coming from this belief, so it synchs it with the high-frequency world of the inner senses, which is indifferent to the restlessness that speedy thoughts and feelings seem to produce in the world of the outer senses.

The inner and outer senses
When we are not connected with the empty breath, and therefore not in the blissful state of not-knowing* but in the happiness of the basic self or the nervousness of the special self, the empty breath is still with us, provided we, just once, have connected with it, because it does not know of separation. Read about the basic and special self in hack #4.1 The basic self versus the special one.

Thus the empty breath always functions as an automatic gear change between the outer and inner senses to make the abstractness in the world of the inner senses the base from where the world of the outer senses is perceived, so it does not appear to consist of something but nothing when in a state of not-knowing and not in that state the experiences of something are perceived as ´it is what it is.´ Consequently, none of the experiences is something special, including you as someone, so you are not happy or sad but happy-sad. As any experience is an illusion, it includes the experience of the empty breath. But as this illusion unveils the bliss of nothing,* which, contrary to the experince of something, is not experinced to end, you eventually stop asking for more. Hence the belief, that it is possible to be an have more than that which is one is undone.

These experiences, of course, only makes sense as long as you believe you are someone definitive in the world of the outer senses, but believing, regardless it seems to result in mundane or spiritual experiences, is like believing in Santa Claus.

Fortunately, the connectedness with the empty breath exposes this, so the bliss of not believing to be anything is the last thing, you experience before the belief in being someone is undone and therefore does not seem to cover, there never was or will be more than that which is one, since it is formless and therefore endless.

In the flow of not believing to be someone

Going with the flow of the empty breath you become indifferent to what you get, so if you want something specific, you must disconnect from it and accept the stress, that comes from not being in the flow of nothing. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The synchronisation of the inner and outer senses
To take the edge out of the stress we feel in the world of the outer senses, the empty breath synchs it with the world of the inner ones. Not because this world is more peaceful, but because it is a high-frequency world. Thus the speedy and restless energy that appears to cause stress in the low-frequency world of the outer senses does not seem stressful.

It is not thoughts as such, that prevents us from going with the flow of nothing, but the desire to use them to accomplishing something specific.

That being said, you might not want his synchronisation, because although it results in indifference to stress, it may not help you to get what you stressed to achieve. This is why most want to avoid the flow of the empty breath and endure the hassle that it is to obtain what they desire.

Like a pencil cannot make its scribblings go away but an eraser can, you cannot make your scribblings as someone definitive go away but the empty breath can.

However, if they get it, they do not feel satisfied but disappointed because the need for more is still there. This, they try to tone down through meditation, yoga or other techniques that seem to hide that all they care about is to become and have more at the expense of anybody (see No manifestation is real).

The more the connectedness with the empty breath cancels out the contrasts of duality – for example happiness and sadness – the more you are indifferent to what and where you appear to be in a world of duality.

Time is nothing in the bliss of not believing to be someone

Without the basic contrast of expansion and contraction, there is no experience of life. Yet what we experience as life is actually death, because life is formless and thus without a beginning and end, so anything that does not last is lifeless. It is, however, life that makes it possible to have fantasies about being a limited being in a lifeless world – just like within the context of such a world, it is only due to that, you can to imagine being someone you are not in the virtual world of a video game. You do not connect with the empty breath in your own pace
While Alexius was writing about the empty breath, he deducted ways of how to ignite it from his instinctive way of doing it. For example, by using the unedited energy of the stress arising from the belief in being someone definitive to ignite a take-off to the empty breath. Read more about that in hack #5.2 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing.

There is nothing to know, because that requires more than one and there is no more than that which is one since it is formless and therefore endless. So although there seem to be lots to know, when appearing to be in a world where there seems to be more than one, there is only one thing to know in regards to the formlessness of oneness, namely that there is nothing to know.

That is why Alexius´ Enlightened NonTeachings is not about learning something new but to unlearn everything. This you can do by reading all of them – or flip through them – until they automatically apply one or more of the duality hacks and brings you in a state of not-knowing, in which there is nobody to perceive the person fabricated by the brain as real. Hence there is nothing but the bliss of being indifferent to any kind of belief.

That being said, when it comes to the practical aspects of appearing to be someone definitive, you should not avoid learning and knowing something, or being and having more. It is self-evident, however, when connected with the empty breath. Its indifference to differences makes it impossible to choose anything yourself. Thus you just go with the flow of doing something exciting. In other words, you are are having the belief in being someone undone, while enjoing it to its fullest.

If this is what you want, it is not important whether you read hack #4, Being in a state of not-knowing from beginning to end or just browse it. What is essential is to not focus on anything in particular, nor to spend time on processing or integrating it, as that enhances the belief in being someone. Instead, unlearn everything, so you contain nothing and as an empty vessel can serve the empty breath. See also the hack No Focus = No World Defined By Time And Space in Extra Duality Hacks.

Only those believing to be special have the need to do things in their own pace.

The bliss of not believing to be someone does not come from something but nothing

Looking for something you can relate to as your true self in the teachings of a guru, for example, you do not look for that which is real, because it is no different from that which is one and it takes more than one to look for something. So do not read about the empty breath with the expectation of finding something to make you or the world better, but to become indifferent to what and where you appear to be. In other words, the less you seem to know something, the less something appears to hide, what you believe to be is nothing. Hence there is not something to separate you from the empty breath.

It is not necessary to undo the belief in being someone definitive to connect with the empty breath, but it is essential to be willing to have it undone.

The only requirement is a willingness to not be someone definitive
Leaving your comfort zone of knowing what and where you are is not done by fighting or transforming your learned behaviour, but by being willing to undo the belief, that makes it possible to appear as if you are conditioned by something, namely the belief in being someone definitive.

This willingness most often comes from admitting, that the appearance of you as someone definitive is not a matter of fact but make-believe. That you accept when you acknowledge, you are not willing to undo the belief in being someone definitive, because the acknowledgement confirms what you appear to be is make-believe.

Since nothing matters when connected with the empty breath, you are free to have fun.

Having the belief in being someone definitive undone, does not mean that that the appearance of you as someone seems to be gone, reborn or awaken. Just like within the context of this belief, the appearance of Santa Claus does not stop when you grow up. It is the belief that he is real that stops. There is one difference, though, between the undoing of the belief in Santa Claus and you being someone definitive. When the belief in the latter is undone, or in the process of being it, you are not disappointed because now you are free to enjoy being someone definitive in a fantasy about Santa Claus, having a family and whatnot.

Connecting with the empty breath is not about being deeper, purer or balanced, for example, because being anything is part of the experience in being someone and the empty breath is not part of that but the nothingness that this experience is fabricated from.

Just like everything else sensed, it is invisible and colourless until the brain ascribe it with a specific shape and colour. But as the brain cannot conceive nothingness without falling into coma, the empty breath remains invisible and colourless.

How does it feel
The connection with the empty breath can be experienced as described by Alexius in the articles What does ´the empty breath´ feel like?, and To be nobody and yet somebody. But do not count on it. His experience of it is not static. And even if it were, you and Alexius may experience it in each your own way – just like when drinking the same cup of tea, for example. Besides the main attribute of the empty breath is indifference, which is hardly an experience.

On top of that, it may not even be the empty breath, that is revealed through the willingness to not uphold the belief in being someone definitive. Maybe it is the enlightenment of that which is one or glimpses of it (see the article A reintroduction to the inner senses, the enlightenment of that which is one and glimpses of it), or the freedom that comes from pretending to be what you are not (see hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive).

Everything is new in the bliss of not believing to be someone

Even though some plants are edible, not all of them are. Often the most beautiful of them often that should not be eaten if you want to remain as someone living in a capsule of time and space. And if you do not want to end when your appearance there is over, you better avoid beautiful ideas like living in the nowcoming from the heart and being transformed, because they are based on the belief in being someone definitive, and everything definitive, contrary to the formlessness of oneness, has an end. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

What you believe in being does not exist
Should you wonder, who chooses to believe, that the image fabricated by the brain of someone definitive is you, or who has programmed the brain to produce this image, or who is connecting with the empty breath, or who is wondering about this, the answer is nobody, because the experience of being somebody, whether in a so-called spiritual or physical sense, is, within this experience, comparable to being in a dream. There is nobody in it.

Thus the empty breath and the other duality hacks are just as dreamlike as anything else in the experience of being someone definitive, no matter what and where that seems to be. See also Whatever that you are aware of is an illusion because it requires more than one to be conscious of something.

Appearances do not matter in the bliss of not believing to be someone

There are lots of ways to appear as if you are someone definitive in a world defined by time and space, but there is no way to leave it because you are not in it. Just like within the context of such a world, a dreamer is not its a dream, and therefore not returning to its bed when the dream is over. But contrary to the illusions of the many belief systems in the world, the duality hacks do not attempt to transform or make the world better but to expose that everything experienced is made from out of nothing.

Connecting with the empty breath, for example, you become indifferent to the differences in the experiences produced by the brain. Hence you do not believe you that you are someone definitive separated from others but that it is something you pretend to be.

And as what you pretend to be, you are not, that which is you does not end, when the brain is not able to produce the experience of you as someone anymore. Until then it is much fun pretending to be what and where you are not.

Pretending to be someone definitive undoes the belief in being it, because what you pretend to be you are not. Read about this in hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive is liberation.

APPENDIX:
Since Alexius is to be compared to the enlightenment of that which is one, he perceives every experience as nothing. Thus the distinction he makes between a state of not knowing and the experience of being someone definitive can be shaped by that. In other words, there might be a slight mix up in the description of the bliss of nothing* and its after-effect, which comes from having had the slate wiped clean, so you return from a state of not-knowing in the default mode of the basic self, and, therefore, automatically is synced with the brain and thus in the happiness of something (read more about that here).

Most of the explanations, however, of how to connect with the empty breath are not geared towards the basic but the special self, as that is the most common way of being in the world of the outer senses. Fortunately, the stress that comes from keeping together the image of being special can be used to ignite a take-off to the empty breath, provided you do not try to deal with the stress yourself.

The basic self, on the other hand, does not need the unedited energy of stress to connect with the empty breath. It easily becomes so laid-back, that it does not perceive feeling fulfilled as better than depressed, neither being right to be better than wrong. These or any other feelings are not perceived as something specific. Hence there is nothing to hide the bliss of emptiness.

This does not mean that feelings of anger or love, for example, does not pop up but that no feeling is perceived to make a difference. Thus they all reveal the bliss of nothing* when the basic self is so laid-back that its basic perception is ´dunno.´

To be nobody and yet somebody (DRAFT)

Reality has nothing to say but ´I am here ´ because it takes more than one to go anywhere, and it is that which is one and. For the same reason, where it is cannot be known. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

It is the brain and nobody else that tells you to experience someone as stupid or bright, for example. It will also suggest how you should deal with that. Whether you consider or reject the suggestions, you are well entangled in the game of the brain, which is to make you believe that you are separated from what you experience so you appear to be someone separated from a world that seems to be outside of you.

This is not to say, that there are ways to escape that game, except, of course, to die. You must play the game of the brain if you want to go on as if you are someone in a world where there seems to be more than one. If you do, the brain rewards you with shots of happiness.

Like in most games, the end is built into it, so you do not have to feel you are stuck in the brain. When your time is up, the brain stops to work. Thus there is nothing to establish you as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, so nobody appears to hide there never was or will be more than that which is one.

Until then, you have much fun appearing to be in the game if you perceive the experiences the brain fabricates of it as they are, and not as they ought to be according to a special belief system like socialism, capitalism, Buddhism or any other ism.

In the case, your perception relates to the experiences as they are, you are not someone definitive but someone relative to the brain (read more about that here), which, as already said, therefore, supports you with shots of happiness. If your perception does not relate to the experiences as they are but to a belief system of yours, this system seems to establish you as someone special in charge of its own life. But since it never turns out as it ought to be, you do not feel happy but frustrated. Read more about that here.

If you connect with the empty breath you are not relative to the brain anymore, nor independent of it because you are nobody and thus not somebody in the experiences created by the brain, although you appear to be there. In other words, you are in the world of the brain but not of it.

This, however, is only possible for 20 minutes, 45 at most, at a time if you want to be able again to have a conscious experience of being someone in a world where there seems to be more than one (see the end of this article). Fortunately, it is possible to get around this by quickly shifting between the conscious experience of being someone and having no consciousness of what and where you appear to be. This is what we explore in the below:

It is easy to connect with the empty breath when not looking for something
If not constructing a perception that has left out everything in your experiences which does not make sense according to a particular belief system, socialism or capitalism, for example, the unedited energy of them will ignite a take-off to the empty breath.

Connecting with it may at first feel as if you have two kinds of breaths. The well-known one that you probably, out of habit, struggle for by taking quick gasps of air through the nose. And then the empty breath that takes over when you are willing to not breathe too fast, taking a deep breath or in any other way manipulate the breath.

To achieve this, it can be of help to hold a finger under your nose every now and then. It may make you feel as if you are not getting enough air. But that is because when you do not try to catch your breath, the empty breath takes over. And it has a slower pace than you are used to with a more extended break in between breathing in and out. In a very laid-back way, it keeps a healthy balance between breathing in oxygen and breathing out carbon dioxide.

Physically speaking the empty breath is best felt when the air is coming in and out through the nose and not the mouth. But not as if it is you who do the breathing, but a ´generator´ in the abdomen from where it, very gently, first expands the abdomen, secondly the belly and lastly the chest before it after a short break goes the other way to contract the body. And then on and on. It feels like there is hardly any air coming in and out of the nose but that it remains as a stream within the body.

Please be aware, that this is not a factual description of how breathing is carried out when the empty breath is in the driving seat, but a description of what it may feel like, physically speaking. It could also be that you feel it as if the generator is in the chest. Sometimes this is how it feels for Alexius. Hence you should not try to replicate the way described here by him but use it as an inspiration to not do something, so the empty breath is not blocked from filling you with the bliss of nothing. This, by the way, is not something to be felt in the body, nor outside of it as if in the external world. It is felt nowhere.

You do not need to remember every detail of this photo to get a sense of stormy weather. Likewise, you do not need to remember all the explanations about the empty breath to connect with it. And you should absolutely not try to remember being connected with it. The connection consists of nothing and you cannot remember nothing. Thus trying to do so turns it into the frustration of something, it is as it turns into something. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The above is not something you need to remember and strictly follow. The empty breath does not know what you believe in doing. The only thing required for the connection to work is a willingness to go with the flow.

Although the empty breath has nothing to give but emptiness, it feels like you get more energy. Maybe because the lack of something dissolves the tensions in the body that restricts a full breath. As emptiness is powerless, the empty breath cannot do this without your permission. If you are not ready to give that, it may take some time before you feel more energetic. No worries. Time is an illusion. However, let us get practical and talk about how to get there:

When the breath expands the body from the abdomen to the chest, you follow a flow from the abdomen to the top of the head while you stick to the thoughts and/or feelings popping up without making a perception of them that excludes what you judge to be politically incorrect. At the top of the head, the gentle explosion of the unedited energy of thoughts and feelings erases the perception of your experience as something, so you are in the bliss of nothing and thus indifferent to being someone definitive.

This state of not-knowing remains while following the flow of breath down to the abdomen, and repeatedly going up and down, provided you do not perceive an appearance, your spouse for example, to make a difference.

This should not be understood as a state of not-knowing is in the flow of the physical breath – just like the music you turn on by hitting a button is not in that action. A state of not-knowing is nowhere in particular and therefore obscured by the experiences of time and space, that seems to confirm you as someone definitive in a tangible world.

Following the rhythm of the breath as described above or in the other articles in the below links hypnotises the brain, so it forgets to continually produce a conscious experience of you as someone separated from others by time and space. Since this is the primary purpose of following the breath, it is not essential to do it in the exact same the way you interpret it should be done according to the explanations in Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings.

If you think you find something better around the next corner, you will probably not notice the empty breath, because it is not behind anything but before everything. The empty breath is nothing so looking for something you miss it
Although being in the bliss of nothing is simple and straightforward, it may seem complicated if you are conditioned with the ideas of controlling and/or stopping thoughts because controlling or preventing something is not possible in the nothingness of bliss.

Neither is it beneficial for getting there. On the contrary. It is when you do not try to stop thoughts or in any other way focus on them, that they are free to speed up until the explosion of their unedited energy ignites a take-off to the empty breath, and thus to the blissful state of not-knowing. In short, it is not focussing but defocusing that will get you to a state of not-knowing in which there is nobody to be conscious of thoughts and feelings.

The apparent difference between a boy or a girl, for example, must be upheld as real to sustain the belief, that you are someone definitive in a world defined by time and space. This difference remains precisely the same when connected with the empty breath, but due to its indifference, your it is not judged to make a difference. Thus the belief in being someone definitive fades out.

The flow of the empty breath is flexible
Being defocused, you may forget the above description of going up and down in alignment with the rhythm of the breath and instead go the other way around. Or the distance of going up and down can be diminished or enlarged, so when going up you pass the top of the head and going down, you go below the abdomen. No worries. There is nobody to notice the apparent difference. Thus it makes no difference.

The brain will try to process a state of not-knowing into an experience of something instead of nothing by babling about awakening, coming from pure essence, heart (read more about that here) or whatnot, so the image it has fabricated of you as someone definitive is confirmed as real and thus obscure, it is made from out of nothing. Read more about that here.

So just connect with the empty breath and go with its flow of nothing as it comes to you. Having done that a few times, you automatically return to the empty breath, whenever you prefer to perceive problems as nothing instead of something.

The flow of going up and down
Instead of remaining in a state of not-knowing after going down to the abdomen when the breath contracts the body, you can return to the conscious experience of being someone definitive, when you leave the abdomen and with the expansion of the body goes up to the head again. Leaving a state of not-knowing, you do by perceiving yourself to make a difference.

From the conscious experience of being someone definitive, you can again return to a state of not-knowing, which is done by not perceiving the thoughts and feelings constituting the experience of being someone to be something specific. Thus you leave the head with no specific thoughts and feelings when the body contracts and go with the flow of the breath down to the abdomen where you go up with the flow to the head and the conscious experience of you as someone definitive – and so on.

Having been in this flow for a while, it becomes automatic. Thus you appear to be someone who is conscious of itself but does not know what it means. In other words, you are in the world but not of it.

When not connected with the empty breath, grudges and so-called negative thoughts keep popping up as before. But as the after-effect of the connection is happiness you do not bother.

You cannot know when you are connected with the empty breath because being that, you are in a state of not-knowing. Nor can you be aware of who it is that is following the breath up and down because the contrast of up and down, in a short time, cancels out itself (read more about that here), so there is nobody going nowhere.

As time is an illusion, the contrast making up the flow has already been cancelled out. More to the point, this or any other contrast has never existed because there is no more than that which is one since it is formless and therefore endless. But while you believe there is more than one, enjoy the illusion of going with the flow.

No more than that which is one
Should you forget to follow the flow and thus forget about the empty breath, there is no reason to condemn yourself for that, because there is no self. It takes more than one to be or have a self, and as there is no more than that which is one, any kind of self is make-believe. For the same reason being with the empty breath is also make-believe. Nevertheless, being with it makes it easier to not assume it is possible to be and have more than that which is one. And not believing that you do not perceive the experience a world where there seems to be more than one to be something but nothing. Hence you enter the bliss of emptiness.

If you stay in this state of not-knowing for more than 20 minutes, 45 at most, at a time the brain falls into a coma and, therefore, is unable to make the experiences that seem to manifest you as someone definitive. Thus there does not appear to be something hiding there never was and or will be more than that which is one. Hardly anybody, however, stays that long at a time in a state of not-knowing. But maybe long enough to sense that this is so.

APPENDIX:
If you try to make the empty breath follow the physical breath, you are not connected with the empty breath. On the contrary. You fend it off because it has nothing to do with bodily preoccupation. Actually, you will never know if the physical breath and the empty breath are aligned because when connected with the empty breath, you are in a state of not-knowing. Read more about that in The bliss of nothing.

Hence the explanations in Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings about how it feels to be connected with the empty breath are based on Alexius memories of being that. And since he was not aware of the physical breath in the connectedness with the empty breath and since anything in the after-effect of the connection is perceived as it is what it is (read more about that in The bliss of nothing), it does not matter to him if they are aligned or not.

But it is a matter of speech when Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings say the empty breath fills you with emptiness. It does not supply you with anything. Instead, it replaces your perception of the body as something with nothing. Hence the body is acknowledged for what it already is, namely nothing. The same applies to every other experience you have of something. Consequently, there is not something to bother you. That is why it is so blissful to be connected with the empty breath.

Everything fabricated – like for example this illustration of a yin-yang sign – is supposed to have a special appearance, so that the experience of it supplies the belief, that you are somebody. But this is not the purpose of the empty breath. On the contrary. Its purpose is to undo the belief, that you are someone at all, which it does by helping you to see, that the apparent differences in the world do not make a difference, so it does not matter whether anything appears perfect or not. When people tell you to slow down and relax via mindfulness or whatnot, they sabotage the fastest way to take it easy, because that comes from not stopping the speed of thoughts and feelings so you lose the control of them and therefore no longer can prevent them from igniting a take-off to the empty breath (read more about that here), that synchronises the low-frequency world of the outer senses with the high-frequency world of the inner senses, so speedy thoughts and feelings are not felt to cause stress but tranquillity.

At times, however, you may feel so angry about somebody that you do not want this to happen because it will make you indifferent and thus without the anger needed to punish them. So you prevent the aggressive energy inside of you from igniting a take-off to the empty breath by projecting it on those judged to have caused it. But doing so, you first and foremost punish yourself, because we receive what we give (read more about that here).

This goes on until you do not project your feelings onto others but keep them in you so the unedited energy of them can ignite a take-off to the empty breath.

The empty breath undoes your conditioned belief in being someone definitive because it sets in before there is a conscious recognition of being someone definitive. Read more about it here.

The connectedness with the empty breath – either through surfing its waves, being in its transparent sound, the swing of it, or the sparkling force behind these rhythmic movements (read more about that here) – is not a feeling that can be fabricated like for example a romantic evening generated by candles, special clothes, music and red wine. On the contrary. It is felt, when instead of busy trying to produce a specific feeling, the frenetic energy is used as a take-off to the empty breath.

Focus, control, balance and any kind of adjustment are counterproductive in regard to igniting a take-off to the empty breath, as it has no specific form or centre and totally moves on its own accord.

The swing of the inner breath may be experienced abruptly – like in this animation but probably a lot slower – in a s body with muscles problems from for example psoas or diafragma. There is no reason though trying to make it swing more smoothly by improving the condition of the body. The inner breath always adjust itself to the current condition of the body, so no matter how it moves it results in the same joy, providing you are not looking to be perfect.

In a sick body, the swing of the empty breath might be experienced to come in bursts – a bit like in this animation but probably slower. But no matter how restricted the swing of it is experienced, the connection with it will always entail indifference, so if you stick with that the way it is experienced makes no difference. Not feeling the swing of the empty breath as described in the previous article, What does ´the empty breath´ feel like? can be due to trying too hard, focussing on it, or assuming the experience of it will make you feel something extraordinary. In these cases, you try to fabricate a specific feeling yourself, but the feeling of the empty breath cannot be made up, nor is it something definitive.

The same applies if you erupt the natural flow by taking deep breaths, shortening, pushing or holding it back. This will make you appear to be the master of it and thus enhance the sense of being an autonomous creature with a will of its own instead of a medium for the empty breath.

Basically, however, there is only one reason for not feeling the empty breath, namely that you want to feel it, which is only possible when you believe to be something instead of nothing. In other words, to feel the empty breath, you must step aside.

Since the empty breath has no personality, it has no expression of its own. So if its rhythmic flow is experienced to be weaker when you appear to be sick or about to die, it is because the rhythm of it always adjust to what and where you believe to be. Yet the operator of the empty breath (see the paragraph of the same name in the article What does ´the empty breath´ feel like?), which is the non-rhythmic energy behind the rhythm of the empty breath remains the same and is also experienced like that if it is that aspect of it you are in touch with.

In other words, if the transparent non-rhythmic energy of the empty breath is only partially experienced, when the body seems to be out-of-order, the problem is not the empty breath, but that you do not want to experience it fully, when there seem to be problems with the condition of the body, because that would render it unimportant and thus question your belief in being inside it.

This does not mean that you should not take care of the body and have it checked by a qualified health care professional. You also bring your car to a garage for a check-up, even though it is not you.

In the flow of the empty breath, you are automatically multitasking, because it does not know the concept of focusing on something specific. So if not feeling the empty breath, multitasking may pave the way.

The less you believe to be substantial, the more you will feel the non-rhythmic transparent energy of the empty breath.

There are several established ways of feeling somebody else when you believe to be someone substantial in a tangible world. But there are no ways to feeling the empty breath than to momentarily stop believing you are someone definitive.

When you do not know anything, there is not somebody to be sad or happy – nor anything else. Thus there is nothing but emptiness, which is pure bliss.

Not being aware of something, there is nothing to make perfect. Consequently, you are not benumbed in an experience of yourself as someone definitive but in the flow of nothing.

Feeling the empty breath is like receiving a new gift every moment. There is no way, however, to know what the present will be before receiving it, neither do you need to know, because you are in a state of not-knowing.

Even though the empty breath seems to produce a constant rhythm of expansion and contraction in the body, your experience of it may not be so. And you are right. It is not consistent. It has no such need. Only those who believe to be somebody definitive has a need to be consistent, and since the empty breath does not believe to be anything at all, it does not need to uphold a persistent image of itself.

The empty breath can be compared to the cats in the home of Alexius. They go around as it pleases them, but he can always count on them to greet him when he gives a call.

Likewise, he can always count on the empty breath. Even though it solely moves on its own accord, it is always to be felt in one way or the other. Maybe it is experienced to be going up and down, on a single wave in one of the circles in the empty breath, several times in a row, whereafter it is felt to be the swing of it inside of his head, and as if he is surfing both of the yin-yang looking waves in one of the other circles of the empty breath. In the previous article, What does ´the empty breath´ feel like, you can read more about these experiences and composition of the empty breath in endless circles.

After igniting a take-off to the empty breath, he mostly lands in its speedy and chaotic energy at the root of it, which feels like freedom compared to the rigid world of the outer senses. Going to bed, it often is the transparency of its sound that comes to him. But first of all, he simply feels the indifference of the empty breath, and since that means the apparent differences in the world does not appear to make a difference, it is hardly a feeling.

If you do not fence off the empty breath via a positive perception of yourself in which everything judged to be negative has been excluded, whatever you seem to feel will be interpreted by the indifference of the empty breath. Consequently feeling happy or sad makes no difference. Not in the sense that happiness and sadness feel the same, but in the sense that the apparent difference makes no difference.

The empty breath can be felt in many exciting ways. The most exciting one, though, is not a feeling, but indifference to the apparent differences experienced in a world defined by time and space and thus to perceiving it as real. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

When you are connected with a Fitbit watch, for example, it is not from the connection itself you get an exceptional feeling but from the data it gives you.

Likewise, you may not feel excited about the connection with the empty breath, as its radiance of indifference makes you indifferent to the apparent differences in a world defined by time and space. But as this makes the experience of it seems like nothing instead of something, you are in the bliss of emptiness.

Doing Nordic Walking, or rather going with the flow of it, could be beneficial for you in regard to not be doing something. It may also help you to expose the defence mechanisms, that you have built up in the body against going with the flow of the empty breath.

This is not to say that all these defence mechanisms must come to an end to feel the empty breath. Having the willingness to not be somebody, but nobody is what makes you feel the empty breath. Neither is it important in which of the ways described in the previous article, What does ´the empty breath´ feel like, that it is felt, or if it is felt in another way.

Although these ways of feeling the empty breath definitely are fascinating, the most exciting way to feel it – or rather not feeling it – is simply to follow its consistent flow of indifference. Since that makes you indifferent to the experience of differences in the world where you appear to be, there does not seem to be anybody feeling anything but the bliss from being indifferent to the belief in being someone.

The nature of the empty breath is not to provide happiness but indifference, and since that releases you from the boundaries of a world defined by time and space, it may feel as if you are in a merry-go-round world.

Feelings, however, never last, so if you hang onto this feeling instead of going with the flow of being indifferent to what you feel, your merry-go-round world will be replaced by its contrast, namely a world of sadness. This is only so because you mistook the empty breath for the giver of happiness instead of indifference, so if you stick with the latter, it makes no difference if you feel happy or sad, and that is very blissful.

The most exciting aspect of the empty breath is cannot be felt because it is indifference.

At first, it may feel as if the empty breath is too slow to supply you with enough air for breathing. But when you do not try to handle the flow of it*, which may or may not be adjusted to the physical breath, everything is fine as it is.

Perhaps it feels as if you do not have enough room for the empty breath or that it results in more pain than joy, especially if you in the past have avoided the awareness of unpleasant feelings by projecting them onto obscure parts of the body. Read more about the suppression of feelings and the psychosomatic diseases it entails in hack #4.3 To be a basic self is to be good enough.

Thus fear, traumas and worries are stored in the body, often psoas and its corresponding muscle the diaphragm. Since the latter, in terms of muscles, is the primary mover of the breath, it may have become too weak or stiff to freely move with the flow of the empty breath, which, therefore, seems to make you tense and not relaxed. That is if you are looking for a specific way of feeling the empty breath instead of going with its indifference because doing that, it does not matter whether the empty breath seems to result in a smooth expansion and contraction of the body or not.

Should the body seems to get better when you feel connected with the empty breath, it is not due to that – at least not directly – because it does not know of something that needs improvement. Indirectly though it is due to the empty breath. In its presence, you are not in your default mode of doing something about something, so the body is not disturbed by the perception that you are the master of it.

That the condition of the body is linked to what you think, is like assuming there is a connection between you and the world in a movie you are watching. This connection is entirely imaginative. The world in the film is unaffected by the thoughts or feelings you appear to have about it, and it is self-deception when you imagine it has caused them. The movie does not have such powers.

In other words, if you perceive that pain or sickness in the body has been caused by the mind, the soul or something else not physical, it is an idea you project on the body. And this idea can only be corrected where it was conceived, namely in the mental sphere.

Trying to correct it in the body is frustrating because the problem is not there, although it probably is felt to be in the body and there may seem to be symptoms of it there. Unfortunately, this is generally perceived as proof of a connection between the body and mind and/or soul instead of a warning against believing there is such connection. Fortunately, the empty breath is indifferent to whatever you seem to think or feel, and so are you when connected with it. This does not mean it fixes the body, but that it liberates it from the sick ideas you have forced upon it so that the biological system can take care of the body without your interference but maybe with a little help of qualified health care professional. Hence you can correct your ideas where you made them. If you are used to projecting them onto the body, you may, however, have a hard time figuring out what is what. No worries. Joining the empty breath you see everything experienced as it does, namely as nothing.

What does ´the empty breath´ feel like? (in the process of being updated)

The inner breath is not restricted to be felt as a specific form, neither to only be felt inside. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

As the empty breath is not something definitive, it cannot be experienced in a specific way. Yet it can be felt in an undefinable way anywhere within its non-definitive framework – whether that appears to be inside or outside the body – but never consistently as the same, although it is always there.

The empty breath can be felt in many ways within its non-definable framework of a ball-like thingy, that passes through the head – or above it – and the stomach or below it. Yet it is not experienced in relation to the body, nor inside or outside. This is not because everything is perceived to at one when connected with the empty breath, but that the experience of something is perceived to be nothing (read more about that here).

Having an out-of-body experience is based on the belief that you are someone in a body, which is the opposite of the experience that comes from being connected with the empty breath, as it undoes the belief that you are someone in a body. Read more about that here.

Hence the connectedness with the empty breath is not an out-of-body experience, but a no-body experience. This does not mean, however, that you do not take care of the body, your beloved ones and whatnot when connected with the empty breath, but that it makes no difference if doing so seems to pay off or not.

In the connectedness with the empty breath there is nothing that appears to be disturbing, but trying to connect with it everything seems disturbing, because the purpose of trying is delaying, so you want to be disturbed.

The inner breath has no definitive center or anything else in a fixed position, so your experience of it may be different from mine. Maybe you primarily experience it in the stomach, in the chest or both inside and outside of your body within the non definitive borders of a ball. It may change from moment to moment, as  – unlike this image – it is not static. This image however illustrates when all its movements are experienced simultaneously, which feels as if the everything stands still.

The empty breath has no definitive centre or border or anything else that is in a fixed position. Everything is always moving, so the experience of it changes from moment to moment from as if it is in the stomach, in the chest or both inside and outside the body. So if your experience differs from the descriptions in this article, go with the flow as it comes to you.

Feelings are subjective
If you are future-minded, the empty breath might be felt to come from somewhere in front of you, whereas it probably is felt to arrive from the back if you are concerned about the past. And if you are into the concepts like living in the now, being centred and balanced, it might be felt as if it has a fixed centre. In other words, the experience of the empty breath is coloured by your conditioning.

This is not a problem for the empty breath, because contrary to you, it has no need to be acknowledged in a particular way. So whether you experience it to be in the stomach, the chest, inside or outside the body, it carries out its one and only purpose, which is to make you indifferent to the apparent different experiences in the world where you believe to be.

The empty breath is indifferent to all the apparent differences of the world, so the more you connect with it, the more you adapt to this indifference and the less you want to be someone who makes a difference.

Since the empty breath is not static, the experience of it may change from moment to moment, and it may differ from the those described in this article. No worries. Being connected with it is not about doing something specific to feel something definitive, but going with the flow. It is only when you want to make a difference, you must do ´the right thing´.

A basic intro to the non-definitive form of the empty breath
The empty breath is modelled like an egg-shaped ball with lots of oval circles moving inside of it, but contrary to what you see in the illustration to the right, it does not have a definitive centre or border. Nor do the circles inside of it, and there are so many so close together that there is no space between them. In the emptiness of each circle, there is two yin-yang like waves. This you cannot see in the simplified illustration to the right, but there is a simulation of this in the second image from here.

That the empty breath has a non-definitive form does not only mean that the edges of it are blurry but that neither its size nor shape, is constant. It may grow bigger and smaller here and there so that it momentarily feels to be more pear-shaped than egg-shaped, for example.

As there is no up and down in the empty breath, the most significant part of the pear-shaped version of it might be in the top as well as in the bottom, or on the sides, or anywhere in between. And as the apparent centre of each one of the circles appearing to be inside the non-definitive ball of the empty breath is floating around, there are many none fixed centres.

Even though there appear to be an endless amount of diffused shaped circles inside the non-definitive boundaries of the empty breath, and they are moving in each their own direction with each their own yin-yang like formed waves moving inside of them, they are actually fused into one movement of two yin-yang like waves rolling in all directions – at bit like in the animation in the paragraph The swing of the empty breath or in the two last animations of this article.

But as that is very difficult to comprehend in a world where we are conditioned to divide reality in more than one, most will probably not feel the totality of the empty breath, but one of the many circles that seems to make it up. No worries. It is not about perfection but going with the flow, as it comes to you.

The empty breath has no specific centre, and though it seems to consists of many different movements in each their own size and shape, everything is actually fused into one single move. As this can be hard to comprehend in a world where there seems to be more than one, it is most likely easier to experience just one of its aspects at a time.

This could be like going in a circle going from the stomach around the back of the body to the top of the head when breathing in, and from there in a circular movement in front of the body and back to the stomach when breathing out. The direction, however, does not matter. As already said, it is all about going with the flow. So if that seems to go the opposite way, by all means, go that way.

The flow can also be in a circle, about the same diameter as above, that instead goes from the abdomen to the throat or rectum to the heart. The width of the circle can also be expanded, so it goes from the abdomen to a point above the head or from the rectum to a point further above the head.

No matter where you perceive the location of the empty breath to be, it is the same emptiness you experience a second before the brain processes it into an experience of something perceived to be substantial (read more about that here). As the emptiness of the expanded circle metaphorically speaking goes from hell to heaven, you may feel frightened or spaced out if you get stuck in one of those extremes.

Going with the flow of the circular movement in one of the above circles feels like you are surfing two yin-yang like waves inside the empty breath. But this is just one of the ways to experience the empty breath. Below is a short introduction to them and then a more detailed description to each of them.

Be aware though, feeling the empty breath, as described in this article, is only possible to the extent that you do not wish to be or have more spiritually, mentally, emotionally or materialistically because the empty breath has not anything to give but the sheer bliss of nothing.

A basic intro to the ways of feeling the empty breath
Sensing the operator of the empty breath (see the below paragraph of the same name) or the indifference of it (check out the section The empty breath is not the giver of joy and happiness but indifference in the article What is ´the empty breath´ about?) is a state of not-knowing in which you seem to be floating on clouds of bliss. In contrast, the state of not-knowing coming from the rhythmic flow of it is more like if you are moved by clouds of bliss.

The rhythmic flow of the empty breath can be heard as a distant sound (see the below paragraph The transparent sound of the empty breath) or felt inside the body (see the below section The swing of the empty breath), or sensed as if nobody is surfing two yin-yang like waves in and outside the body (see the next paragraph).

That being said, these categories are not meant to limit you into experiencing the empty breath in specific ways but to inspire you to experience it in your way.

Each of the non-definable circles inside the non-definable ball of the empty breath – see the previous illustration – consist of two yin-yang like looking waves (but without the two holes), that are not fixated and probably moves in sync with the breath – or rather the breath moves in sync with them. It is therefore not so much about following the extraction and contraction of the physical breath but the flow of the empty breath, which may feel like you are surfing the outside of the two yin-yang like waves more or less in sync with the physical breath. In the above illustration to the right, you see a very simplified simulation of the empty breath in which you are not able to see that the number of circles inside it is endless. Nor does it reflect that the empty breath has no definitive border or centre and each of the circles inside it contains two non-definitive waves like in the above image, that can be surfed. Please notice that although the waves look like the two parts of a yin-yang sign, they have no holes. And as they actually are colourless, the colours in this image and all the others in this article only have an illustrative purpose.

When the body is expanded by the breath, you surf the outside of the yellow wave from the stomach and behind the body up in the head. From there, you surf the outside of the blue wave in front of the body down to the abdomen or below it, while the breath is contracting the body. That is if you are sensing the waves in a circle going from the back to the front of the body. See a more detailed explanation of the different possibilities for the placement of the circles containing the waves in the above intro to the empty breath.

Besides surfing the waves in that circle, you can surf the waves in a circle going from the left to the right side of the body and in circles anywhere in between these. No matter what circle you are surfing, you most feel the waves in the circular movement outside the body.

It is not needed to be in total sync with the rhythm of the physical expansion and contraction of the body, nor does it matter if part of the circular movement is skipped. What matters is to follow the flow as it comes to you, because that makes you forget the physical breath so it can take care of itself without any interruption from you being stressed or trying to inflict it with ideas of balance, tranquillity and whatnot.

Maybe the most joyous way to surf the waves is to go the whole way around one of them and then continue by going the entire way around the other one, more or less in alignment with the breath extracting and contracting the body. There might be even more joyous ways revealed to you, when following the flow.

Alexius has never been surfing in the world of the outer senses, so when he says going with the flow of the two yin-yang like waves in the empty breath feels like surfing, it is an imagination of his.

You may also surf the empty breath in the opposite direction. Going counterclockwise tends to lessen physical awareness so you would become less interested in returning to a conscious experience of being someone substantial in a tangible world. The same applies, if the non-definable edges of the empty breath are not experienced to touch the body but pass it on top of the head and below the abdomen, as that means there is almost no relation to the body when surfing it.

Thus the body is set free (read more about that here), so it can follow its biological system without you trying to unite the physical nature of the body with mental ideas of wellness, which is like trying to blend physical elements with the immaterial ones in a dream or vice versa. It does not work.

You cannot be someone definitive, when going with the flow of the empty breath, so the belief in being someone separated from the formlessness of that which is one is fading out.

Going with the flow without knowing where and why.

Surfing the empty breath to feel good regardless of the physical condition
You will, as already noted, mainly feel the flow of the waves in one of the many circles inside the empty breath. This will probably be in a circle going from the back of the body to the front of it or the other way around. But from there you can also jump to the waves in another circle or feel them all simultaneously.

As it takes more than one to feel something, it is only in a world where there seems to be more than one that this is possible, so the more the belief in such a world is undone by the empty breath, the less you feel it.

Alexius was not aware of this before he started writing what the empty breath feels like and therefore took a closer look upon it. He usually just follows the flow without thinking about direction and whatnot, because in his case, the flow mostly results in the sense of indifference.

It is, however, possible to be more choosy than Alexius is typically. Having worries about the past, or pain in the back, you can choose to be massaged by surfing both sides of the wave behind you and leaving out the one in front of you within a circle of the empty breath that goes from the back to the front of you. Should you want to be grounded, you can surf all the way around a single wave in a circle going from the back to the front of you where the waves are not located like in the above but in the top and bottom of the circle.

The wave you surf, in this case, is the bottom one passing through the abdomen or even lower in the direction from the back to the front of you, or the other way around, or the bottom wave in another circle going from the left to the right side of you, or both of the bottom waves in these circles, or the bottom wave in any one or more circles in between the two others. No reason to memorise this. Just go with the flow.

Just like what you believe to be is nothing so is the empty breath, but unlike you, it has no need to conceal that by appearing to be something in specific. Consequently, there is not something that prevents it from being what and where is most beneficial for you – even under your feet if that is what it takes to make you forget what you believe to be.

Supposing you want to enhance the impulsive or deliberate side of you, you could do this by respectively surfing all the way around the wave to the right and the left in a circle going around the head sideways. In a circle that also goes sidewise but around the chest, you could surf all the way around the wave in front of the chest if it is hollow and seems to restrict the breath. Surfing both waves but only on the outer side of them in a circle going sideways around the head or stomach, is excellent in the case of vertigo, eventually combined with surfing the two waves back and forth of you in a circle going from your feet to above the head.

In the case of tight hips, blocked abdomen or spasm in the lower back, you completely surf the wave behind you and then the one in front of you in a circle going sideways in that area, and so on. You could also try surfing in a similar circle where the waves are not in behind and in front of you but on the sides. The size of the circle and thus the waves adjust to the need for relaxing these areas. Is sadness released from there, you may feel like crying. If so, forget about the empty breath and take the time to grieve. Then return to the same circle of the empty breath if that is what the flow calls for.

It may instead call for surfing a combination of other waves, for example a wave in front of you in a circle going sideways at the abdomen and a wave in front of you in a circle that does not go sideways but from the head to stomach or the other way. Maybe surfing them simultaneously or perhaps not just one of the waves in the circles but both waves in a circular movement around the abdomen and from the back and front of you – or whatever combination that seems beneficial to you in regard to getting through the lockdown.

The empty breath is also beneficial when it comes to alleviating allergy symptoms or other kinds of symptoms coming from IBS and COPD, for example. It may not heal these or any other physical sickness, because the purpose of the duality hacks is not to heal the body but the sick belief that you are in it. This the empty breath does by making you indifferent to being someone. Read more about that here.

Regarding the empty breath and how its nothingness helps to reduce the symptoms of somethingness, Alexius speaks from personal experience, because his body is not in the best condition, as he has never been very good at being something specific. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

In the case of Alexius, the state of his body is not that good, so he speaks from personal experience when he says, that due to the indifference of the empty breath IBS and COPD, for example, are not something he needs to get it over with to feel better, as the discomfort is not perceived to be something but nothing.

If you are not looking to get it right, nothing is wrong or missing. Hence every moment is the perfect moment (hack #4.1 Every moment is the perfect moment). You have no need to get it right if you face your anger, because then it does not seem wrong and you do not have hide it by looking right.

It is not just a rosy story, though, because the transition from perceiving desperation as something to nothing was very upsetting until he did not perceive hopelessness to be wrong but that which set him free. There are many possibilities for using the empty breath. Yet it is best not to use it but instead, be used by it, so going with the flow sets the body free to heal itself. This is why it is brilliant in the case of psychosomatic disorders. It is not commendable though to catch every detail about the empty breath in this article because an intellectual understanding of it will not help you to feel it connected with it.

You cannot illustrate the inner breath, as it has no definitive form. This animation, however, may give you an idea about the ´structure´ of the inner breath and the high frequency of its inner movement, which seems to originate from an yin yang like curved line – not just as curved though. It feels like, it is the swing of this floating line that expands and contracts the body, so that it breathes in and out. Unlike an yin yang sign the inner breath is not a flat circle with a curved line, but rather a ball wherein the curved line swings upwards and downwards as well as sideways, forwards and backwards and everything in between. Unfortunately the animation is not able illustrate that, neither how slow the swing of it actually feels in the body. Even though it extremely active inside the ball, the experience of it is that it has all the time in the world to expand and contract the body.

It is not possible to illustrate the swing of the empty breath because it has no definable form or movement. This animation, however, may give you an idea about how the swing of it feels as if it is coming from a non-definitive curved line, that is to be compared to the line in between the two forms of a yin-yang sign – but less curved. The swing of this line expands and contracts the body so that it breathes in and out. But unlike in a yin-yang sign the swing of the empty breath is not inside a flat circle but rather a non-definable ball, wherein there are many non-definable circles with each their own curved line. Depending on where one of these circles are experienced to be located the swing of the empty breath is experienced to swing upwards and downwards, sideways, forwards and backwards or anywhere in between. Unfortunately, the animation is not really illustrating this, nor that although the swing of it is mighty, the experience of it often is that it is in no hurry to expand and contract the body.

The swing of the empty breath
What is said in the above about surfing the empty breath, generally speaking, also apply to feel the swing of it, except that this is solely felt inside the body, where the movement of the non-definitive curved line between the two waves is sensed as a swing, that extracts and contracts the body in a steady rhythmic flow of breathing in and out. Due to the definitive size of the body, this line is felt less curved and probably also shorter than the line in between the two waves described in the above.

The steady swing of the empty breath may seem to expand and contract the body slower than when you imagined being in charge of the breathing. Maybe the break in between expansion and contraction also feels too long. But the swing of the empty breath probably feels more powerful – so much indeed, that at first, it feels like the body does not have enough room for it.

Just like surfing the empty breath can be done on the waves in any of the circles within the non-definitive border of the empty breath, the swing of it can be felt in the movement of the curved line floating in the middle of any one of these circles.

In other words, the curved line is not just pumping from the back to front in relation to the body but also up and down, from side to side and everywhere in between, which you may sense in the illustration to the left. Though you can feel all these directions simultaneously, it probably is so unfamiliar that you may prefer to feel the swing of the empty breath in one circle at a time.

The shape of the circles with the swing of the empty breath is more like an egg. See the illustration. The experience of the curved line inside ´the egg´ may not seem logical. Breathing in, you may solely experience the swing of the empty breath in the bottom of ´the egg´ and breathing out, in the top of it – or the other way around, or only in the bottom or the top. You can also experience the whole curved line going back and forth, or up and down, at once.

To make long short, the empty breath behaves like a bird. If it has a pattern of flying that you cannot see. So do not try to shape it, nor to let it be. Both attitudes fend of the experience because they imply you are in charge. Instead, acknowledge you are not in control. Using the technique for the taste of life, you automatically lose control, because, whether you taste it or not, the technique itself is beneficial when it comes to defocusing. And without focus, you are not in control.

If you experience the swing of the empty breath in all the eggshaped circles simultaneously, the fusion of them at first feels as everything is spinning. See the speedy animation just below. But it quickly turns into a feeling of everything standing so still – see the third image from here – that you feel the bliss of being indifferent to what and where you appear to be.

Connecting to the inner breath is fortunately not about perfection, as that requires much control and therefore blocks the inner breath to move on its own accord. The inner breath is always connected to you, but you cannot feel it if your purpose is to be someone definitive. In other words not being anybody the inner breath is not hidden. In fact it is very intense.

The swing of the empty breath is not felt as fast as the movements in this animation, but rather like a steady ongoing rhythm that with much force expands and contracts the body. Yet the resulting breath in the body is often very subtle and probably seems to be slower than you are used to – unlike the driving force behind the rhythm of the empty breath, that is a rush of energy within the non-definable ball of it. And even though the particles of this force is moving completely unstructured and at any speed, fast or slow – a bit like in this animation – it is such a relief to merge with this apparent chaos, as that prevents you from focussing on anything specific, so you feel like a fountain sparkling with joy.

The operator of the empty breath
Besides from feeling the swing of the empty breath or as if you are surfing two yin-yang like waves more or less in alignment with the extraction and contraction of the physical breath, you can also feel a constant rush of energy within the non-definable border of the empty breath. This chaotic energy at the root of the empty breath is not rhythmic but abstract. Yet it is the force behind the rhythm of the empty breath. The feeling of it is a subtle sense of being here, there and everywhere, or as if spinning through a world with no limits where you are not limited to be someone.

There are no rules, but it could very well be, that a take-off to ´the empty breath´ will take you to this aspect of it … and what a relief it is to float in chaos instead of having to fit into the rigid world of the outer senses.

Unlike the swing of the empty breath but like surfing its waves, this force is sensed both inside and outside of the body. It often is more straightforward to feel its very subtle energy outside of the body as there the dense bodily feeling is not an obstacle. If you do not try to catch its abstractness, but go with its fleetness, it feels like you are a fountain of sparkling joy.

Sensing the operator of the empty breath outside of the body, you will automatically be taken inside, as the operator does not know one from the other. From there you probably are transferred to the rhythmic flow of surfing or feeling the swing of the empty breath.

The apparent chaos at the root of the empty breath, where the operator of it resides and where you most likely land after igniting the empty breath, is therefore a good starting point, when you want to be in the rhythmic flow of the empty breath.

If you out of habit try to focus on the empty breath to hear the transparent sound of it (see the next paragraph) or feel its rhythmic flow, you are bound to perceive it as something and thus to fence it off. A more beneficial way to approach the rhythmic flow and transparent sound of the empty breath is to start in the chaos of its root – whether sensed in front or back of the body, on top of it or all around it – because that leaves nothing specifically for you to focus on, wherefore there is not something definitive blocking out hearing or feeling the rhythmic flow of the empty breath.

The transparent sound of the empty breath
Just like the rhythm of bass is not only heard but also felt in the body, so is the sound of the empty breath, which is like ´so´ when it expands the body and ´ham´ when contracting it.

The apparently definitive shape of you in a body is, therefore, exposed as make-believe.

Sometimes it is like this rhythmic sound of ´so-ham´ comes from the nose and at other times from an undefined space in the back of the head. And then again, the sound does not seem to have a definable location, so it is neither experienced to be inside or outside the head. It may even appear to originate from an invisible space outside the body like it has nothing to do with your appearance in a body.

And as that is actually so, feeling the sound of the empty breath is not a compelling experience like feeling the rhythm of the bass, because it cancels out the feeling of being in a specific body – as if there is no definable border between the body and its apparent surrounding. A sofa, for example, does not seem to differ from the body sitting in it.

This is basically due to the brain not being able to create a conscious experience of the signals it claims to receive from the sensory system of the body, when you are deeply connected with the empty breath (read more about that here), wherefore there is nobody to divide them into judgments of inside and outside, good and bad, high and low, them and me and so on. Hence the apparent differences in the experience of in a world where there seems to be more than one do not appear to make a difference.

Since this means there is nothing to define such a world, it becomes evident that it is not real but a fantasy made from out of nothing. But just like the reality in the world of a game is the same whether you believe it is real or not, the reality of a world where there seems to be more than one remains the same, when you sense it is an illusion. Your relation with it, however, is forever changed. Being someone definitive, there is all pretence – just like it is, within that reality, when one pretends to be in the world of a game. Do not get attached to the rhythm of the empty breath, because the feeling of the rhythm is related to the body, so it stops when the body ends.

Since a rhythm has a beginning and an end, it is best not to get attached to the rhythm of the empty breath in the swing or transparent sound of it, because it ends when the body stops to function. At that moment, it is better to merge with the indifference of the empty breath or the non rhythmic and very chaotic energy in the operator of it, so that there is not something specific to stop the enlightenment of that which is one from absorbing the nothingness of you.

Via the transparent sound of the empty breath, you may naturally float into glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is one, which the visual-minded will experience as visions of light and the auditory minded as ethereal harmonies. If you are more emotional minded, you may feel the vibration that Aum, Sohang and The Word of God symbolises or taste the sweetness of it.

The glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is one, for example, the visual aspect of it, merges into one, if not interpreted as something specific. Hence there is no experience of that which is you being different from that which is one, so nothing seems to hide there never was or will be more than the formlessness of oneness.

The empty breath, however, is not something that can be brought about by manipulating the physical breath or exercising any other form of control. It is the other way around. When you go with the flow, the empty breath joins you.

A bicycle has nothing to do with the place, it is transporting you to.

This is not to say, that techniques cannot be helpful in regard to tone down the experience of you as someone definitive so that the apparent existence of you in the tangible world fabricated by the brain does not seem to be a fact but make-believe. Unfortunately most forget, that techniques have nothing to do with what they seem to accomplish. Just like a remote control have nothing to do with the music it triggers.

As the connection with the empty breath is a state of not-knowing there is no awareness of separation. Hence the apparent difference between past, now and future or you and Alexius does not make a difference.

It is not possible to illustrate the inner breath in its totality. This yon yang animation (please abstract from the holes) though may give you an idea of the simultaneously movement of the two waves inside the inner breath.

The connectedness with the empty breath is a state of not-knowing
Nobody really knows what the connectedness with the empty breath feels like as it is a state of not-knowing. So to write about that, he had to go back and forth between a state of not-knowing and the conscious experience of being someone, and compile the vague memories of the empty breath popping up in his consciousness.

If the resulting descriptions seem patchy and confusing, you can use the disorientation to ignite a take-off to the empty breath. See how to do that in Take-offs to ´the empty breath´ and How to ignite a take-off to ´the empty breath´.

The empty breath is not only to be experienced within its border, because it has no specific border, so if you are experiencing it somewhere else, you have really become indifferent to the belief in being someone definitive, because only as such would you expect to experience it somewhere specific.

Please remember that even though the connectedness with the empty breath is impersonal, what you remember of it afterwards is personal. Hence your memories may seem different than those of Alexius.

If still confused you are welcome to mail Alexius, although using your uncertainty to ignite a take-off to the empty breath is preferable, because he cannot help neither you or himself as he sees nobody in need of help.

Thus you would be better off keep on reading about it until you hardly can stay awake, then go to bed, forget what you read the empty breath feels like, close your eyes, and most likely it will be there in one way or the other. Indeed, they will rapidly change. That is if you do not try to hang onto one of them. In that case, they will cease.

Your eyes do not have to be closed, and you do not have to go to bed. You can sit anywhere in any position. You can also walk, run and/or talk. But if you are new to the empty breath, it may seem easier to connect with it by partly cut out the world of the external senses yourself, instead of waiting for it to be toned down when the empty breath syncs it with the world of the inner senses. You should, however, never attempt to cut out the world of the external senses yourself in situations, that requires your full attention in that, like driving a car, for example.

´The empty breath´ is empty space and so is what you believe to be (in the process of being updated)

What you believe to be and see is nothing but empty space. Thus not being and seeing something specific is a blissful revelation of emptiness. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

The empty breath is not part of the experiences of you being someone substantial in a tangible world, which the brain fabricates by twisting nothing into something (read more about that here). This is because the nothingness of the empty breath has not been twisted into something by the brain. That does not mean the empty breath is spiritual but that it remains in the nothingness from where the brain creates a world of something. Thus connecting with the empty breath, going to that which is spiritual, namely the formlessness of oneness, is a journey without distance.

The only reason we believe the experiences created by the brain are real and not fantasy is that they seem to confirm we are somebody and not nobody. Hence it is only the desire to be somebody, that seems to disguise that we are nothing processed by the brain into something.

Since it has taken the brain one second to fabricate the experience of what you believe to be and read right now, and it has made it from out of nothing, there was not something one second ago, and since that is where the empty breath resides, you connect with it by not perceiving the present experience as something which takes you back one second in time to where there is nothing because the brain has still not twisted it into the current experience of something.

In the rhythmic flow of nothing, the basic contrast making up the consciousness of you as someone definitive, namely expansion and contraction, is cancelled out (read more about the cancellation of contrasts here), so although the experiences fabricated by the brain, as if nothing is something, goes on, as usual, there is nobody to perceive the experiences as something. Science states, the world we seem to feel and see consists of 99.9999999 per cent empty space. And the rest, despite it also is empty space and as immaterial as a dream, is what we perceive to be elements of matter making up a world defined by time and space. The brain, however, falls apart after 20 minutes, 45 at most (read more about that here) without someone confirming the experiences it fabricates to be something. So if you want to be able to return to the experience fabricated by the brain of you as someone in a world defined by time and space, you must leave this state of not-knowing before the brain falls into a coma. This you do by confirming you are separated from others, for example by sending love and healing to them. Read more about that here.

Should you wonder who does this or who are wondering about it, the answer is nobody, because there is nobody in empty space. Just like there is nobody in a dream and not somebody making it. Nor is the dream inside the one appearing to experience it because it consists of nothing. Read more about that here.

To make long short, what and where you believe to be is a construction of thoughts, that, just like a mirage, is experienced to be something until you get closer and see it is nothing. This look you get when with the empty breath because it sees what it is itself, namely nothing.

That is why it is best not to interpret the location and feel of the empty breath, as described in the next article, What does ´the empty breath´ feel like, as definitive. The empty breath is not definable by time and space and thus not something specific located in a definitive place you can feel in a categorical way (see the paragraph The transparent sound of the empty breath in the next article What does ´the empty breath´ feels like?).

Also, be aware that the description of the empty breath in that article is written by someone who is to be compared to the enlightenment of that which is one. This means, that just like the concepts of the world in a game like Monopoly are acknowledged but not believed to be real, the experience of a tangible world in empty space is acknowledged but not perceived to be substantial because there is nothing else than the formlessness of oneness. Thus it is best to perceive the explanations in the next article of where the empty breath as metaphors for nowhere.

This applies to the empty breath, as well but since it does not believe to anywhere or have any intention of taking you somewhere, it is your way back to the formlessness of oneness.

Not in the sense that it helps you realise oneness. That is not possible, since it takes more than to realise something. But when every single memory of a world where there seems to be more than one is gone, which it is after 20 minutes, 45 at most, in a state of not-knowing (read more about that here), there does not appear to be something hiding that there never was or will be more than that which is one.

How to ignite a take-off to ´the empty breath´ (draft)

When not trying to make sense of this image but going with its absurdity, the free-flowing energy of the experience spontaneously ignites a take-off to the empty breath and its bliss of emptiness, provided there is a willingness to forget what you believe to be. The image is grabbed from the web.

If not perceiving what you read to be special, it cannot define you as unique. Thus there is not something special to obscure the bliss of nothing.

As soon as you have had enough of the frustration coming from the perception in being special and you do not try to edit or transform your feeling of desperation, the raw energy of it automatically ignites a take-off to the empty breath. Since it is nothing and your current experience of something is processed by the brain from what it did imagine to receive from a gap in nothing one second ago (read more about that here), the take-off to the empty breath only takes one second.

In other words, when you connect with the empty breath, you go one second back in linear time to the nothingness that is unprocessed into something by the brain.  From there, the brains rendering of nothing into a world of something looks the same, but it is not perceived to be something and therefore not confirming you to be someone. Hence you are in the bliss of nothing.

Every time you believe in fighting something, it is to prevent being nothing.

In linear time, it may take a few more seconds, or many years, before there is nothing but the bliss of emptiness because out of reflex you probably try to force the breath through the tensions in the body, instead of going with the flow of the empty breath. It may feel as if you are fighting with the empty breath about how to breathe.

This fight, however, is solely between what you perceive to be you and an intruder because the empty breath is not intruding you. That is not possible. It does not see you as someone made of solid elements, but of emptiness just like itself. So when you stop fighting nothing, the empty breath goes through the tensions, caused by the thoughts and feelings you have excluded from your awareness by hiding them in the body, as they are nothing.

To get to this point, you must be willing to not stop the breath from going through the painful areas of the body. In this process, you may use professional healthcare services to relieve the body from spasms and headaches, for example, as the empty breath is not healing it – only the belief that there is someone in it.

What you believe in being is nothing twisted by the brain into someone experiencing something. In the presence of the empty breath, which is nothing that has not been processed into something, you become indifferent to the experience of something and thus of being someone. Having passed the apparent physical and emotional obstacles, you turn into nobody. It may at first feel like the empty breath sets off from an engine in the abdomen as if it is an inner breath that in a slow fashion pumps air from there to extract the body (read more about that here), whereafter it returns to the engine which seems to take its time before it pumps it out again without any concept of being inside and outside of a body.

Despite that this is nothing which extracts and contracts nothing, it is in a world where everything is experienced as something also experienced to be that. It might be experienced as if you having fun surfing yin-yang like waves in the rhythmic flow of the empty breath, or being everywhere and nowhere in the sound of it, or joyfully moving with the swing of it, or being still in the abstractness behind its rhythmic flow. Although it may have been unedited speed and chaos that connected you with the empty breath, it is not a speedy or chaotic affair being connected, but like you weightlessly walk on clouds. Think of being high up in the sky in an aeroplane. Although it was the speed that ignited the take-off and it must be maintained to keep you in the air, it is not the speed you feel but a laid-back experience of being in the clouds.

Regarding speed, whether connected with the empty breath or not, we are always moving extremely fast because the Earth and thus us as well is spinning at 1.000 miles an hour, if at the equator and a little less when north and south of it, and the entire planet is hurtling around the sun at 67.000 miles an hour. Having a static perception of ourselves, however, we do not feel the thrill of this but having a perception in sync with the brain (read more about that here), we feel it and can use it to ignite a take-off to the empty breath.

However, the ways described in this article and the other ones in hack #5.2 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing are generally not geared for the basic but special self. That is because most are drawn in by the excitement they imagine to get from being special, rather than the pure happiness, they automatically receive when being basic, because the latter will not make them essential in a world where being special, bitchy and having something extraordinary is the standard. If not focused but defocused, all the elements used to construct what you believe to be blur out. Hence they do not seem to be something, and you, therefore, not different from the nothingness where the empty breath resides. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

So although being special brings about stress and being basic results in relaxation, almost everybody does their best to establish themselves as somebody special in a mundane or so-called spiritual way. Thus hack #5.2 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing is mostly about using stress and speedy thoughts as a take-off to the empty breath. In regard to the basic self, it is not the stress of being somebody but the relaxation of being nobody, that ignites a take-off to the empty breath.

Let us imagine, you have covered your eyes by your hand, so you can indulge in daydreaming without being disturbed by the world outside of you. Though it feels great to have a fantasy of a better world, it also feels strange to be cut off from the actual world.

So when you want to see the world as it is and not as you imagine it could be, and you sense it is your own hand that stops you from doing so, you automatically remove it. Hence it is the built-up frustration and the realisation it is caused by your own hand, that makes you take it away so you can see the world as it is.

Having had enough of something ignites a take-off to the empty breath and the bliss of nothing
The process in the above box, generally speaking, resembles the way a take-off to the empty breath is ignited. The perception of the experiences you seem to have is believed to establish you as special and therefore to hide that it is a fantasy made from nothing.

This perception, which is to be compared to the hand in the above box, is made from selected thoughts organised into a spiritual or mundane vocabulary (read more about that here), that you share with like-minded ones to confirm each other as being special and not just a fantasy of the brain. You may not only sense the bare feet that have made the footprints in this photo but also the body they belong to. Yet there is no feet or entity in the image, and nobody makes footprints like those. When you have had enough of the confusion that comes from this perception, you loosen the grip on the selected thoughts, making it up. Thus you start to see that being special is a daydream. When you are fed up by that, your frustration ignites a take-off to the empty breath. In the connectedness with its nothingness, there is not somebody to perceive that what you experience makes you special or anything at all. This does not mean that you disappear but that you are not attributed with a specific meaning.

The empty breath cannot be experienced as something definitive because it resides in the nothingness unprocessed by the brain. Hence you do not  notice it when you want to experience something.

Since this is a state of not-knowing, there is no awareness of the bliss that nothing entails when not disguised as something. But memories of it pop up when you return to the conscious experience of being someone, which you must do latest 20 minutes, 45 at most, after entering a state of not-knowing, if you want to be able to go on as someone substantial in a tangible world. When returning from a state of not-knowing to the consciousness of being someone definitive, the slate has been wiped clean, so even though it feels like you just had a unique experience, you are nothing special. Instead, you are the basic self you always were supposed to be. Being that you are happy.

And this happiness does not come from what you experience to be and have but from being in sync with the brain (see hack #4.1 The basic self versus the special one), there is no need to perceive any experiences as something special. Thus they seem so unimportant, that, every now and then, there does not appear to be something to hide the bliss of nothing. In other words, you automatically and very quickly go back and forth between a state of not-knowing and the conscious experience of being someone. See To be nobody and yet somebody.

The connectedness with the empty breath does not come from meditating, chanting or any other technique of self-control, because control enhances the belief in being someone definitive. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Being a basic self is an after-effect of a state of not-knowing that may last from a few seconds to many years (read more about that here). Often though it is hastily overridden by the desire to be and have something special. No worries. The confusing energy that this entails is so powerful that it ignites a take-off to the empty breath, provided you are willing to not try to fence off the frustration by denying or indulging in sex or anything else.

In other words, when you are totally fed up with being controlled by the thoughts and feelings, you have sought out yourself to form a belief system of how to be special, you automatically leave it. Not in the sense that you give up, let be or surrender because that is based on being special. But in the sense that the unedited frustration ignites a take-off to the empty breath and in its nothingness there is not something to define you as special anymore.

Be aware, though, that you will never know how to connect with the empty breath. It is not something but nothing, and you cannot know how to connect with nothing. But if you forget what and where you appear to be, you do not need to connect because then there does not appear to be something hiding that you are nothing.

The speed of unedited thoughts and feelings ignites a take-off to the bliss of nothing (DRAFT)

PART 1: UNEDITED SPEED BRINGS YOU INTO THE BLISS OF NOTHING
Oneness is contrary to the common belief, not the same as stillness but loudness. That is if the speed of it could be experienced. But that is not possible, because it requires more than one to experience something.

You could also say, the reason oneness cannot be experienced is that it is a movie (an analogue), that is played so fast that the individual frames of it cannot be seen because. The speed merges them into one. Hence it is not quietness but speediness that is the bedrock of that which is one.

In the context of this metaphor, a world where there seems to be more than one is a movie of oneness slowed down so much, that it seems to consists of frames divided by time and space.

Those insisting in oneness being stillness are those who want to take it slow, because that gives them time to feel they are in control.

It is, therefore, not calmness but speediness, that is needed to accelerate the slowed-down movie of oneness into its natural speed, which is so fast that nothing can be seen. Hence hack #5.2 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing is not about slowing down thoughts or stopping them but not holding them back so the speediness of them ignite a take-off to the empty breath. It syncs the speedy thoughts in the low-frequency world of the outer senses with the high-frequency world of the inner senses, so they can be further accelerated without you going insane in the world of the outer senses.

Inevitable thoughts move so fast that there is no time to hold onto any of them to make you come out as someone definitive in the world of the outer senses. Thus that world is perceived from the world of the inner senses, where you are not someone definitive. Thus you are in a state of not-knowing, which is pure bliss.

If you remain in that state for more than 20 minutes, 45 at most, the speed of the thoughts become so fast that they merge into the enlightenment of that which is one, from where there is nothing to gently fall into the formlessness of oneness. See hack #6.1 From the inner senses through a black hole into that which is one. Most, however, never enter a state of not-knowing and if they do they leave it after a few seconds or minutes. So we return to the subject of this hack, which is not that which is one but how to enjoy the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one while slowly but surely having it undone.

Since there is no more than that which is one, everything in a world where there seems to be more than one is absurd. That includes Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings. For a take-off to the empty breath to work, you do not have to sit in special postures or do something extraordinary. There is one thing, though, you must do to make it work. You got to acknowledge the chaos of thoughts and feelings as they are experienced without analysing or trying to understand them, nor to shape them by a philosophical or religious system, because if editing, the speed of chaos is replaced by the numbness of order.

To not suppress the chaos through mental or meditative activity, but instead acknowledge it as it is, you do nothing than to totally be it.* This is not only the take-off to the empty breath but also the destination because totally being something leaves nothing to contrast it. And as that does not leave behind anything to define you, you are in a state of not-knowing. Read more about that here.

In a state of not-knowing, the apparent difference between specific thoughts is not perceived to make a difference, neither is the supposed difference between what is presumed to be you and others. Thus there is nobody to be separated from somebody or at one with anybody – nor to experience the bliss that this entails.

But you do not know the bliss of that before you return to the conscious experience of being someone definitive and memories of it start popping up. You know, however, you are in a state of not-knowing when you do not care about what and where you appear to be.

When trying to control, change or stop thoughts and feelings, they are slowed down and therefore do not have the speed needed to ignite a take-off to the empty breath, where they lose their apparent meaning, since the empty breath is indifferent to differences. Consequently, they also lose their apparent power to define you as someone definitive.

Please be aware, that the above explanation of that which is one versus a world where there seems to be more than one is as absurd as any other explanation of this or anything else, because it requires more than one to explain something and there is no more than that which is one, since it is formless and therefore endless.

And as it also takes more than one to find something, there is neither truth, love, oneness or anything else to be found anywhere. Thus Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings do not reveal oneness, nor do they point to it, since that requires more than one. But they point to the belief that it is possible to be and have more that which is one as that is what seems to hide there never was or will be more than that which is one because it is formless and therefore endless.

If you do not like to feel you are an outsider, it is not solved by blaming others, but by only feeling that. As that means there is nothing to contrast what you feel, it cannot be defined. Hence there is nothing but the bliss of emptiness. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

PART 2: COMPLETELY BEING SOMETHING UNVEILS THE BLISS OF NOTHING
Feeling wrong seems to go away when you complain about somebody because that makes them appear to be wrong and you to be right. But complaining about others to escape unwanted feelings in yourself is like covering them under the lid in a cooking pot. Sooner or later, the pressure of the suppressed emotions blows off the lid and steam of grievances shoot out.

Since the cooking pot in this metaphor is your body, the above is to say, that although complaining about somebody at first seems to make you feel better, the problem is not solved. It has just been buried inside your body from where it will come out in the open when the body expels the suppressed problem through physical disease. Whatever that is, you most likely blame it for having caused you to suffer, so you still can deny having an emotional problem.

You do not get rid of an emotional problem by suppressing but feeling it. This is not done by telling friends or a psychiatrist what you think that your problem is. Focusing on the cause displaces the feeling, and so does talking about it because that disassociate you from feeling it.

Totally being a feeling is as easy as being completely devoted to sex, for example. It does not mean, by the way, that you go deep down in the feeling. It is like going deep into a well. No reason to do that. It is the same water on the surface. In other words, totally being an emotion is to feel as it comes to you now.

So instead of sharing what you think you feel with somebody, feel it all by yourself until you are nothing but that, wherefore there is no feeling to contrast it and, therefore, not something to define you as having a problem or anything else. Consequently, you are in a state of not-knowing.

Contrasts are slowly but surely cancelled out in the indifference of the empty breath, including the contrast between life and death. This does not necessarily mean that the bodily symptom of the suppressed feeling magically vanishes. The body may still hurt. But since there is nobody to perceive this as something, it is, just like in a dream, nothing, which applies to everything else, so there is not something to be bothered by. Nor is there anybody to know the bliss that this entails before returning to the belief in being someone and blissful memories of not believing that start to surface.

Since these memories slowly by surely rubs off on your perception of what and where you appear to be as someone definitive, you do not need to avoid or hold onto any feeling to establish yourself as special. Consequently, the body is not used as a garbage bin for unwanted feelings, so it is not disturbed by immaterial matters and can take care of physical issues just like it was made to do. However, when it comes to viruses transferred from wild animals, for example HIV, Mers and COVID 19, and other sicknesses generated by the way of modern living, the body generally needs help from healthcare professionals.

To sum it up, acknowledging a feeling as something specific that you experience as someone definitive makes it possible to completely be what you feel. Being that and nothing else there is not something to contrast it, and therefore nothing to define what you are. Thus you enter a state of not-knowing. However, it is not before you leave it and return the belief in being someone definitive, that you remember, the bliss that comes from being indifferent to that.

You must leave a state of not-knowing after 20 minutes, 45 at most, at a time if you want to be able again to have a conscious experience of being someone definitive because the brain falls into a coma if there is not a continuous dialogue – internal or external – about something that seems to confirm you are someone definitive. If the brain is not kept active by you continuously perceiving something as separate, it cannot uphold the consciousness of you as someone definitive, wherefore you are in a state of not-knowing. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

So if you do not want the brain to fall into a coma, and you to disappear in the nothingness from where the experiences of what you believe to be is fabricated by the brain, you must return to the consciousness of being someone in a world of something by resuming your grievances about the world experienced to be outside of you, so you again are established to be separated from what you experience and thus to be someone definitive. Instead of returning from a state of not-knowing to the conscious experience of being someone definitive, you can totally forget about something, so there is nothing to be absorbed by the enlightenment of that which is one, so there is no consciousness, states of bliss or anything else that requires more than one.

Hence there is not something which seems to hide, there never was or will be nothing but that which is one. Read about the enlightenment of that which is one in HACK #6, Inner senses, enlightenment, and glimpses of it. This does not only mean that the appearance of you as someone definitive is terminated, but that you have never existed, neither in a material or spiritual way, because it takes more than one to exist.

No reason to worry about accidentally and abruptly being terminated as someone in the enlightenment of that which is one, because in most cases the fear of it (read more about that here) or the urge to separate will set in before that, so you automatically fend off that which is one to appear as if you are someone in a world where there seems to be more than one.

Obviously, nor Alexius or anybody else has passed the point of no return in the enlightenment of that which is one because a world where there seems to be more than one is still experienced, and it only takes one to undo what is not one because there is no more than that which is one.

PART 3: THE RETURN FROM THE BLISS OF NOTHING TO THE HAPPINESS OF SOMETHING
When returning from a state of not-knowing to the consciousness of being someone, just like a criminal, you do not think in the categories of right or wrong. Unlike a criminal, however, you do not replace these categories with a calculation of what you can get away with it. You are aware that you do not choose what you do – only how you perceive it.

You do not get stressed from always having to avoid what you judge as negative, being angry for example, when perceiving everything as it is what it is. Read more about this perception in hack #4.2 Being a self or no-self)..

And since your perception always is that it is what it is, negative thoughts are just as welcome as positive ones. So is the empty breath. Most of this hack, however, presumes you do not perceive everything as it is what it is, but I know what it is. And as you have to exclude everything unknow from your awareness to uphold this perception, you are full of hidden thoughts and feelings which suppressed energy can be used to ignite a take-off to the empty breath.

If you have read HACK #4 When you begin to live by duality, it is going to end, you have probably grasped that you, in the terms of Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings, are the basic self when perceiving everything as ´it is what it is´ and the special self when perceiving it as ´I know what it is,´ which is to state you know better than the brain and have established yourself as more unique than the basic self – or in the process of accomplishing it.

Being in sync with the brain, there is nothing to disturb you from falling into a state of not-knowing.

Since the basic self is in sync with the brain, it feels the happiness of something contrary to the special self which is out of sync and thus gets the sadness of something. They are equally illusionary, though, but it does not seem so dangerous to have that exposed when being a basic and not a special self.


*) If you already have organised the chaos of thoughts into a specific belief system, there is no need to going back to chaos to ignite a take-off to the empty breath. You just acknowledge the suppression of it by being nothing but that. Read more about that here.

You feel stressed from perceiving the apparent differences to make a difference (in the process of being updated)

It is only in a world where there seems to be more than one that you can search for the meaning of life. Yet it is not to be found there or anywhere else, because it takes more than one to find something and life is that which is one. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

The way that letters are put together in various configurations makes it possible for us to attribute a special meaning to each of the shapes. And when they are organised in rows divided by dots and commas, like in this article, they seem to make up a story written by somebody else than ourselves, and thus to confirm we are somebody in a world where there are more than one. But since the story that seems to prove this is pieced together of shapes attributed a meaning by ourselves, the story is made by ourselves and, therefore, does not prove there are more than that which is one.

Reality is that which is one, and since it takes more than one to experience something, it cannot be experienced.

Let us imagine, that the letters making up the shapes we believe in establishing us as somebody in a world where there seems to be more than one are the same letters making up that which is one. Unlike in the world where we believe to be and where everything is experienced to be separated by time and space, there is no space to keep anything apart in that which is, since that requires more than one.

Hence the letters, that oneness consists of cannot be distinguished from each other, and therefore not organised into shapes, that added together in specific ways seem to establish a story of us as somebody in a world where there seems to be more than one. In other words, oneness is formless.

In oneness, everything is fused into one perpetual present, which no one can see because it takes time to see something. Hence, it is only in a world defined by time and space, there is something to behold. What you see, however, is not there. Oneness is formless and therefore endless, so there is no world defined by time and space. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

A world defined by time and space is a slowed-down version of the formlessness of oneness
It is not only because there is no space to separate the letters making up that which is one, that they cannot be differentiated from each other, but also because they move so fast that time stands still (read more about that here). Hence it is not possible to organise them in a linear way – or any other way for that matter.

In the context of our story about a world where there seems to be more than one versus that which is one, you could say, a world where there seems to be more than one is a fantasy of what oneness would look like if it could be slowed down. The more oneness is imagined to be slowed down, the more space there seems to be between the otherwise shapeless letters in that which is one, wherefore they appear to be separated from each other and have a definitive shape of their own.

Furthermore, there seems to be time to arrange the separated shapes in different combinations attributed with each their own meaning, so not only space but also time establishes separation as real and thus that which is one as unreal.

The slowing down of oneness is, therefore, an attempt to turn formlessness into thoughts representing specific shapes that seem to be something you can manipulate to your liking in a world where there seems to be more than one.

Hence the way back to oneness does not come from stopping the speed of thoughts via meditation or something else that makes you appear to be in control of the thoughts making up your particular shape, so you seem to be at rest and unmoved by the speed of the Earth that is hurtling around the sun at 67.000 miles an hour. Neither is the way back revealed by understanding this or anything else, as to understand something requires more than one and, therefore, enhances the belief, that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one.

No matter if something is experienced to be inside or outside, it is make-believe, because that which is you is no different from the formlessness of oneness and formlessness has no sides.

A journey without distance takes no time
It is not a fact but make-believe that what and where you appear to be is real. It all falls apart if not attributing meaning to the letters in this article or anything else that seems to be part of the story of what and where you are because when shapes make no sense, there is nothing to separate them and thus no time and space.

Since there is no more than oneness, nobody has ever left it. Hence the way back takes no time.

The fastest way to not attribute meaning to something experienced to be there, is, of course, to bid welcome the enlightenment of that which is one (see hack #6.1 From the inner senses through a black hole into that which is one). It promptly and relentlessly erases every definable detail of whatever you remember to have experienced so there are no memories from where an image of you as someone definitive can be recalled and thus nobody to experience a world where there seems to be more than one.

Should you not want to go that fast but have the belief in being someone definitive undone over time, you can connect with the empty breath (read more about that here). It undoes this belief gradually, so you are able to enjoy the excitement of it while slowly but surely having it undone.

The reason for this is that the empty breath does not erase the memories of you as someone in a world of something. But since it resides in the nothingness from where the brain has made the experiences that are stored as your memories, it knows they are nothing. Thus your past does not establish what and where you believe to be now as something.

So though you appear to be somebody in a world of something, it is perceived as nothing the more you are connected with the empty breath –  just like within the context of the world of something, you are are not perceived as real when you appear to be someone in the virtual world of a video game (see hack #1.3 Pretending to be someone definitive).

The source of life cannot create anything, as it is that which is one, and it takes more than one to create something. For the same reason, it cannot be found. Nothing needs to be done when not perceived as something
The change of size and weight from hefty to almost nothing – for example vinyl to CD to MP3 to streaming, and computer to smartphones to wearables – is a reminder, that reality is sizeless as it is that which is one, and it takes more than one to take up space. For the same reason, oneness, cannot be found in a world defined by time and space. Nothing in such a world or any other kind of world can bring you back to it, except the undoing of the belief that you are there.

That is the purpose of the empty breath as well as the other duality hacks. This they do not achieve by revealing the formlessness of oneness, as it takes more than one to do so. Besides, oneness does not need to be revealed, because it is formless and therefore endless, so there is nothing else.

What needs to be revealed is that what you believe to be is nothing that through your perception of it as something seems to hide the formlessness of oneness. Just like it is your perception of what you experience to be in a dream that makes you appear to be there, although you are at sleep in your bed.

This perception is what the empty breath corrects without you having to leave the dream. So with the empty breath by your side, you do not need to stop or change anything to have the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one undone and at the same time having fun experiencing to be someone in a world where there seems to be more than one.

APPENDIX:
Some claim the amount of info coming from digital media is stressing. But that is most likely because they want to uphold a particular image of the world, and therefore need to sort it into what is adaptable and not. Since this requires you to keep a distance to the nonadaptable, you must remember the thoughts making it up. But as you also need to remember the thoughts that are adaptable, there are many thoughts to keep track of. That is what feels stressing and not the amount of info.

Fortunately, the more stressed you seem to be, the faster its disappears if you do not try to slow down the pace of it but use it to ignite a take-off to the empty breath. Read more about that here.

Being in the duality flow is a bit like listening to the waves of the sea. It is very relaxing and satisfying. However, if you insist on doing things at your way and pace, you soon feel restless because there is always something that needs to be adjusted to make it look like things are going your way. At first, you may get to the duality flow through the perception ´it is what it is,´ but, after a while, you can recall it just like that. You simply choose to feel the abundance of the duality flow instead of the loss resulting from dividing the pairs of duality into separate entities that you assume to be at odds. It took Alexius several months to not choose between the opposite sides of a duality pair but go with the duality flow where they support each other, like breathing out paves the way for breathing in and vice versa.

Unlike the polarity of breathing in and out that goes on and on, other duality pairs are quickly replaced by a new one. But that does not matter. The duality flow comes from the movement between the opposite sides in the pairs of duality. And that always feels the same.

Alexius long time ago conditioned himself to hide his sorrow behind justified anger or disgust. That changed when he did not try to hide or explain his grief but experienced it as it was. This revealed that inside his deep sorrow, a little boy was floating on waves of nectar.

Therefore, since his sorrow was not different from the mellowness inside it, he did not try to fence of his misery anymore to feel good. Actually, feeling sad automatically triggered the experience of the mellowness inside it. Hence this twofoldness became his basic experience of the duality flow.

It reminds Alexius of the physical sensation of drinking coca-cola as a kid when he tried doing that. It was like his body was made of bubbes. He could also describe the duality flow experience as if the body is an ocean full of waves moving nowhere very gracefully or like drops of warm water gently touching the body. Feelings, though, are personal, so your experience of the duality flow´s completeness may differ from Alexius´ description. Anyway, you know you feel it when you keep smiling for no particular reason.

That being said, the duality flow is new to Alexius. It came to him late in the process of writing The Duality Hacks. The discovery of the duality flow started when he wrote a little article in 2020 that over some months evolved into the seven pieces of hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality. It was not before late in writing and trying out the hack that he got to the duality flow experience described above. Until then, he either remembered the hellish or heavenly feeling that comes from a single-minded perception. See You undo the belief in duality by enjoying it, Part 1. But you probably get to the duality flow much faster because Alexius has paved the way.

When you start to go with the duality flow, it may be the revelation that no experience is singular that blows your mind. For example, if you feel miserable, it is a relief to experience that this feeling contains its counterpart, pleasure. Later on, it is not the revelation that your reaction to something always is twofold that blows you away, but that they constantly interacting with each other.

Calling this interplay the duality flow is not Alexius´ idea. That was suggested by the AI proofreading his writings. It has, by the way, not found anything similar on the web to the duality flow. Actually, most who talk about non-duality seem to deny duality, although this refusal of the belief in duality makes it impossible to undo it.

Anything perceived as good is just as bad because everything comes in pairs of opposites in a world of duality. You probably already know the duality flow in a distorted form. For example, when you think, should I do this or not, you are in the duality flow. But since your focus is on getting a specific result and the duality flow does not deliver anything in particular, you miss feeling completed the duality flow and, instead, get the frustration of fragmentation.

If you perceive your reaction to everything as ´it is what it is,´ there is no need to accuse the world of being evil because this perception uncovers the beast inside contains an angel. But not only that, the perception reveals that the interaction of those opposites, and plenty others, are what makes up your experience of a world of duality. Hence you feel fulfilled by the duality flow.

Doing that, you do not need to feel perfect by maintaining a specific division of right and wrong that you conceal in sensitive parts of the body, which you prevent from communicating with the other parts. Not feeling fragmented but complete is such a release.

When the way you have decided to see something is perceived as ´it is what it is,´ feeling down, for example, this feeling is shown to not be on its own but paired with feeling up. This revelation makes you laugh. You do not know why. But sooner or later, you realise it is not about being up or down. Those labels are unimportant. What matters is the constant interaction between opposites. That is the duality flow. Following it, you feel complete. That is why you cannot help but laugh.

In the duality flow, you are, of course, still in the psychical realm that makes up the experience duality. Thus you may still get sick. But you deal with that in a laid-back way when in the duality flow.

Being unselfish is like playing a game. You are not there. It is something you pretend to be. Thus everything you do is selfless. But that is often difficult for those considering themselves to be on a spiritual path. They do not want to adjust to the game of duality but to change it so it is shaped by their particular ideas of spirituality. In other words, they want to do live their own way, although they do not know who they are.

This they would not need to know if they were in the duality flow because one feels complete in it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Having the opposite of your singular opinion revealed is not an intellectual process. In a state of expectation, calling for nothing specific, you patiently wait and in a couple of seconds, it is there. This may start as an intellectual process, where you think feeling angry is complemented with joy. No problem. If you do not hold onto your system, it paves the way to discover the joy inside of anger without doing anything but wait. In this approach, the feeling inside of anger may not get a name. And you probably forget about anger and joy because, in the interaction of them, you feel complete. It is this interplay between opposites that is the duality flow.

 

When it has been revealed that any singular point of view actually is dual, you may forget to label the opposing elements in the duality pairs that you encounter. In other words, if you judge something to be dangerous and see it is complemented with harmless, you do not dwell upon those opposing elements but the interaction between them. Just like it is not up and down but the interaction between those opposites, which is the thrill of playing yoyo.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You feel frustrated until you stop looking for a specific appearance to make you feel happy and, instead, get the pleasure that comes from the constant interaction of opposing elements. You neither stop nor start in this interplay. And you do not remain with a particular pair of opposites but in the movement between opposing elements. That is the duality flow. When you begin to follow it, sooner or later, duality is bound to stop because every beginning has an end.

Just before you pick up the duality flow in a new set of opposing elements, there is a moment of nothing and, therefore, not something to hide non-duality. At this moment, you might hear the sound that seemed to set off the world of duality, namely Aum, which also is called Sohang and in Western religion The Word of God. Read here how to hear it.

You cannot hold onto this moment, though, as that requires more than one. But not holding onto anything does not call for more than on. Thus the idea of duality is not resumed.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings very logically concludes that since it takes more than one to have a shape, oneness is formless and therefore endless. Consequently, there is no more than that which is one. However, since it takes more than one to read this, you believe it is possible to be and have more than that which is one.

No worries, going on as if you are someone in a world where there seems to be more than one, you honour that you have chosen to believe you are there. Thus you can choose to undo it. Beginning to follow the duality flow, this undoing is easy because every beginning has an end. Consequently, the belief finishes all by itself.

This may happen sooner if you, instead of following the duality flow, apply hack #3.2 Inclusiveness is pure bliss because it cancels out contrasts. Hence there are no differences to uphold the idea that there is more than that which is one, wherefore the enlightenment of that which is one soon set in. That is not a gradual but instant occurrence (see hack #6.1 From the inner senses through a black hole into that which is one). But since the temporal length of an event is an illusion, you may take your time and begin following the duality flow so you can enjoy that appearing to be and have more than that which is one, until this experience, without any effort of yours, stops by itself.

Hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality works well with hack #3.1 Every moment is the perfect moment. It can also be combined with the other hacks, except for hack #6.1 From the inner senses through a black hole into that which is one. That hack cannot be used with the others. But applying them a lot, you get to the enlightenment of that which is one

Nor does hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality work with hack #5.2 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing and hack #5.3 ´The empty breath´ and the bliss of not believing to be someone, as they turn off the experience of duality. The same applies to hack #6.2 The enlightenment of that which is one cannot be found in a world where there seems to be more than one, but glimpses of it can. But you can apply these three hacks to get a break from duality or completely have them blow out your consciousness of something, so there is nothing to hide there never was or will be more than that which is one since it is formless and therefore endless.

Connecting with the empty breath or having glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is one is what Alexius prefers. Also, before he wrote his non-teachings and gave them a hack number and name. In a split second, these hacks bring you into a state of not-knowing in which you are duality free. But since the brain falls into a coma after 20 minutes, 45 at most, if duality is not acknowledged, he uses those hacks on and off. When not applying them, he likes to follow the duality flow that he recently discovered. In his case, though, it is not to get the experience of fulfilment.

When you know a world where there seems to be more than one is a mirage, appearing to be in it is like playing a game. It is fun because you know, what and where you appear to be is make-believe.

Since he is to be compared to the enlightenment of that which is one, he knows that every experience is an illusion because it takes more than one to be aware of something, and there is no more than that which is one. Read more about that here. So, following the duality flow is simply the way to enjoy the game of dualism when he is not in the bliss of not-knowing.

If not being someone who is to be compared to the enlightenment of that which is one hack #4.4 The duality flow goes to non-duality is an also excellent hack to apply. Especially if you have a family or something else to take care of because you are not something specific in the duality flow. Thus it is easy adjusting to your environment in a way that benefits everybody there.

When your attitude to something is single-minded, you get the pleasure of something specific. But as everything comes in pairs in a world of duality, it will sooner or later be replaced by displeasure. On the other hand, if your approach is dualistic, you right away get the interaction of pleasure and displeasure, which is so fulfilling that you do not feel particularly happy or sad but on a continuous journey going nowhere with the duality flow.

Being in the duality flow is not about establishing a careful balance but adjusting to the movement between opposites, like when you play yoyo.

You either breathe in or out. You cannot mix that. One excludes the other. But they also pave the way for each other. This is how the duality flow works.

In the duality flow, you do not have to choose between good and evil. They compliment each other, so one is not better than the other. Therefore, since the judge inside you is out of work, there is nothing to establish fear as a specific feeling. Hence it is complimented with trust.

Everything is in constant motion between opposing opponents in the duality flow. As that means nothing lasts, there is no time to fear losing something or not get it at all.

The duality flow is not harmonious but very dynamic. Yet without highs or lows – like an abstract love affair.

Being in the duality flow, you can forget everything about what you used to be. That was based on single-minded concepts. Now you are not someone in particular but in the constant movement between opposites.

Since the perception ´it is what it is´ reveals that every experience is twofold and you are in a world of duality, it brings about completeness. However, since everything comes in pairs, it also results in incompleteness. No worries, you actually neither feel whole nor fragmented but in the motion between these opposites. Just like the thrill of a see-saw does not come from being up or down but the constant movement between those opposites.

Having established ’it is what it is´ as your default perception, you are always in the interaction of opposing emotions and thus feeling completed by the duality flow instead of being unfulfilled by feelings separated from their complementary part. The higher you aim, the lower you must be prepared to go because everything comes in pairs of opposing elements in a world of duality. Hence trying to hold onto a specific part makes you frustrated. On the other hand, following the duality flow brings about satisfaction because being in the constant interaction of opposing elements is the natural state of duality. Remember, if you feel low, it will be counteracted with being high – not to become that, though, or to escape feeling down, but to be in low and high interaction.

If you are into being and having the best, the duality flow experience will probably be a continuous movement between the best and the worst. Should you want to be spiritual, the motion is most likely between that and materialistic. The duality flow could also go between hope and hopelessness, or between whatever you hold dear and the opposite of that. What you need to do to drive somewhere comes automatically in the duality flow. Should things not proceed as you expect, you are not afraid of getting upset because you know everything comes in pairs. We usually do not think about how to digest the food we eat. It happens by itself. In the duality flow, you do not even have to plan the preparation of a meal.* That may not occur, though, in the systematised way you are used to but in the spontaneous way of nature. It does not plant seeds in rows to get the most in return but enthusiastically throws the seeds everywhere to see what occurs. Nor does it build something in a totalitarian way such as Bauhaus or construct a meal in a categorical style like Nordic. To make long short, it is never definitive.

Therefore, although preparing the dinner is more unpredictable when following the duality flow, you can count on having fun and experiencing something new. That being said, there may be a period of transition where you try to hold onto your old single-minded ways of cooking. When it does not work and thus triggers old feelings of despair, you are about to cry.

The solution is not to stop the discomfort but to stand by it, so the definitive meaning you have decided it has can be perceived as ´it is what it is,´ and thus revealed not to be singular but dualistic. Twofoldness is what makes you feel complete in a world of duality. Eventually, so wholly that you fully see, you are nothing but appearance. Hence there does not seem to be something to hide that which cannot be seen, namely non-duality.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The satisfaction you get from being in the duality flow has nothing to do with the satisfaction you get from something specific. In the latter case, you are always afraid of losing what makes you satisfied, whereas you can never lose the duality flow.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since everything comes in pairs in a world of duality, there is no sense in searching for something specific. That is such a relief.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you want the satisfaction of the duality flow, it is essential not to focus on anything in particular. The same applies if you like to undo the belief in duality. Therefore, since the perception ´it is what it is´ cancels out anything specific, you kill two birds with one stone by applying it.

When you feel you have nowhere to go and do not insist on that being definitive but counteract it with going everywhere, you are in the duality flow. The same applies if you are in the interplay of irritation and relaxation. The duality flow is not about the opposing elements in a pair of duality but their interaction. That is what makes it satisfying – just like it is the interplay of breathing in and out that makes you feel good. This interchange is also what makes breathing goes on.

In other words, since none of the opposing elements in the pairs of duality can go on by themselves, you cannot always feel positive. It needs to be contrasted by negativity. So if you are not in the constant interplay of positivity and negativity, what you believe in feeling when you claim always to be positive is a concept conjured up via speculations based on the suppression of negativity, for example via meditation. Doing that is like separating yourself from either breathing in or out. You need them both.

To make long short, the solution to everything, in a world of duality, is to go with the flow of the opposing elements which make up the pairs of duality. You hook up with the duality flow by perceiving your interpretation of something as ´it is what it is

Importance is a single-minded notion that has been separated from its buddy, worthlessness, wherefore it brings about loneliness. But in the duality flow, importance interacts with worthlessness, so you feel together.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Following the duality flow, the specific state of mind you have been used to conjure up to feel at ease is forever out of reach. Now everything is twofold. Sadness interacts with gladness and death with life. What this means, you do not know. Nor do you care because you are supported by the duality flow. That is not your doing so you feel at ease without working for it. That is, if you acknowledge, feeling relaxed is complemented by being insecure. Accepting this polarity, you see the opposite sides support each other by defining one another.

This togetherness is the flow of duality. Being in it, you feel complete. Hence there is no need for a specific state of mind or perspective to escape feeling disturbed.

To justify our hatred, we often deceive ourselves into interpreting something as definitely vicious. But perceiving our interpretation as ´it is what it is,´ we see that viciousness is complemented by gentleness. They define each other, just like hate defines kindness, and you, therefore, only can be genuinely kind when your hatred is acknowledged. Going along with the constant interaction of opposites, you are in the duality flow. This is as good as it gets in a world of duality. When you get angry, you say, »So what! Everything comes in pairs of opposites that define each other. That is the way of duality. Therefore, I soon feel cool.« Hence there is no need for forgiveness or something else to not feel bad.

In the duality flow, you feel complete, so although you may seem just as clumsy as before, it does not make you feel wrong.

Going with the duality flow, hate does not make you frown but smile :)

If you succeed in letting go of your hatred, you also get rid of the ability to feel love because, in a world of duality, everything comes in pairs of opposing elements that define each other. Hate defines love and vice versa, so you cannot have one without the other.

To get back the love you ignorantly discarded, you perceive the hate you see in others as ´it is what it is.´ That reveals their hate is coupled with love. Therefore, since you can only perceive others to have what you have, you also have love and hate. Read here about seeing your repressed emotions in others.

This revelation brings about other dualistic experiences, which generate even more. Actually, so many that you, eventually, forget to define yourself and others as somebody at all. Getting there is a process,** but not being defined as someone in a dualistic world is instant, as there is nothing in between duality and non-duality. Actually, there is no duality since non-duality is formless and therefore endless.

Fortunately, there is nothing to hide this, when you are not defined as someone in a world of duality.


*) This is not to say that you never need to think ahead to get something done. But that thoughts regarding that come to you automatically when you are in the flow of duality.

When you perceive every experience as ´it is what it is,´ you are in sync with the brain’s script. But if you start to analyse what you experience and conclude ´I know what it is,´ you are out of sync with the script because you do not know what it is.

Read about the brain’s script in hack #4.1 The basic self versus the special one.

There is no meaning to be found in your experiences, nor are they yours. This is an illusion created by the brain, which generates all experiences with the purpose of making the self it has fabricated appear to see, hear, feel and taste something outside of itself. It is easy to make the self believe that these experiences of something that seems to be outside of itself are authentic because if not, there is not something to confirm the self is real.

The experiences you believe to have will continue as scripted by the brain, regardless of how you perceive them. If, however, your perception is in sync with the brain’s script, it injects you with shots of happiness. Actually, it also does that if your perception is out of sync with the script, but because this perception is based on the belief that you know what is right, you expect happiness to come from something you have categorised as specifically good. Thus you do not notice the happiness that comes from the brain because it is not caused by anything in particular but you being in sync with its script.

In other words, it is in your own best interest to be in sync with the script of the brain as long as you partake in its game of being somebody. If you do not mind being nobody, you perceive the experiences it produces as ´dunno what it is´. Hence you enter into a state of not-knowing and its bliss of nothing.

This does not mean that the brain’s script changes, but that you are indifferent to it because there is no need to be confirmed as somebody.

Since non-duality is formless and therefore without beginning and end, it is everything. This does not mean it includes the experience of duality. On the contrary, formlessness cannot be experienced, so everything experienced is an illusion. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

You do not have to use the exact same words for the perceptions described in this article to participate in the game of duality, deny it, take a break, or totally leave it. Instead of saying ´it is what it is,´ you could say ´shit happens,´ or ´so what,´ for example. As long as the essence is alike, they work the same. That being said, the perception ´I know what it is´ only works in the sense that it makes you feel special. You are still what and where the brain wants you to be, which you do not try to change when you rest with the perception, ´it is what it is

Choosing the perception ´dunno what it is,´ you leave the brain´s script behind. Not in a sense that you are not what and where the brain has planned, but you do not perceive your experience of it as something since you are in the bliss of nothing.

To uphold the perception ´I know what it is,´ you must suppress your actual experience and thus your feelings about it. The two other perceptions do not involve denial. On the contrary, an experience cannot be perceived as ´it is what it is´ or ´dunno what it is´ if you deny it.

In other words, suffering cannot be avoided  because, without acknowledging the experience of it, you cannot perceive it as ´it is what it is.´ Doing that, however, the experience is no longer definable, wherefore there is no suffering. To spell it out, when perceiving everything as ´it is what it is´ no feeling last. So, like a little child, you go from one mood to the other, and none of them settles down. Since this abstractness is in the world of the inner senses, it leads to glimpses of enlightenment. See hack #6-7.3 The inner senses, the enlightenment of that which is one and glimpses of it.

Neither the perception ´it is what it is´ or ´dunno what it is´ works if the intention is to get over and done with something. Unless you perceive this motive as ´it is what it is´ because that flushes out any idea of achieving something specific. If it is perceived as ´dunno what it is,´ there is not something to accomplish because you are in the bliss of nothing.

Do not hide your reaction to something by making a story in which you are unimpressed or detached. Instead, feel your response, so you can decide what it means and perceive that as ´it is what is.´ This expands the interpretation of your reaction, so it is not limited to you being angry, for example, but complemented with being calm. Since twofoldness makes you feel fulfilled, you have no urge to uphold a single-minded image of yourself. Thus, sooner or later, you forget what and where you are, which is the invitation the enlightenment of that which is one has been waiting for. The purpose of assigning a singular meaning to an experience is to appear as if you are in the know and thus in control of your life. But insisting on that, you miss the joy of togetherness because it does not come from a singular but twofold point of view.

Just like you feel alive from the twofoldness of breathing in and out, you feel fulfilled when psychological pairs of duality, love and hate for example, are not separated but dynamically interact with each other. This interaction, however, takes away the feeling of control, so most split it up. They separate hate from love by projecting a romanticised version of love on somebody and hatred on a vulnerable part of their own body.

When they perceive what they have decided the meaning of hate or love is as ´it is what it is,´ they undo this separation. If they have classified hate as weakness, for example, it reveals that it is paired with strength. Since the interplay of this polarity, like any other, brings about the relaxation of duality, you may not notice, you have no need to hold onto a pretty image of love outside of yourself by hiding hate in your body.

Others, therefore, are set free from your romanticised projections of love. And your body is no longer used as a means to hide your hatred, wherefore it stops defending itself against your attacks. In other words, the parts of the body you have kept tight to hide specific feelings of hate there are healed by the dynamic interaction of love and hate. 

If those parts suffer from physical illness as well, they must be attended to materially. Perhaps with the help from a health care professional. But when the body is not occupied by fending off your psychological issues, it is often capable of restoring itself. That is why physical illness starts with withdrawing the non-physical matters you have projecting onto it. The more you perceive an experience as ´it is what it is,´ the more carefree you feel. Perhaps so much that the perception automatically changes to ´dunno what it is´ and bring about glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is one because it is nowhere.

Not storing thoughts and feelings in the body or projecting them onto the world, they can be experienced in you but nowhere in particular. Therefore, as you do not seem to be defined by them, you do not feel stuck as someone definitive in a world of duality. This does not mean you need to bring back all the thoughts and feelings you have disassociated yourself from. The willingness to do so is sufficient. This is set forth by perceiving your reaction to any present thought or feeling as ´it is what it is

The result of this is not that you know who you are because it requires more than one to know something, and there is no more than that which is one since it takes more than one to have a shape, so it is formless and therefore endless.

You suppress your reaction to something because you do not want to see, that you are boxed in by your totalitarian ideas of how to appear and your revolt against others, therefore, is misplaced.

You feel desperate because you do not want others to see, you feel left out by what they do or not do. This sense of inferiority you hide by first explaining to them the common rules of engagement and then accusing them of disrespecting you by not adhering to this like you do. As they most likely feel guilty, there seems to an agreement for communicating in a way that makes you feel connected. But since this way is based on how you have conditioned yourself to experience being together, it is your own doing if you feel alone.

If you wonder how to differentiate between physical and psychological feelings, you can count on the former being annoying, the latter overwhelming and the perceived combination of them worrying.

And if you do not know when you hide specific feelings, you can be almost sure this is what you do if you generally keep the mouth hermetically sealed. In most cases, it is an attempt to prevent feelings from coming out. Keeping the shoulders back is often a physical expression of attack, whereas keeping them forward may be an attitude of defence. Thus you, either in an offensive or defensive way, insists on having or not having a specific emotion – for example, you feel love but not hate or the other way around. Read more about that here.

This separation of love and hate makes you feel fragmented, whereas you feel complete when they are paired. In other words, when hate and love is in a pair, they can support each other and give you a genuine feeling of togetherness, contrary to the uncertainty you get when they are separated.

Since your internal comments about the world in most cases only have one meaning and, therefore, are cut off from their complementary part, you appear to judge yourself and others for being incomplete. Hence you get the urge to improve something to feel complete.

But it is nobody other than yourself who has made the single-minded comments that seem to make the rules for what you and others can do. Fortunately, there is no need to identify these rules to set yourself and others free from your confinement. You simply perceive your present opinion about something, for example what you are reading right now, as ´it is what it is.´

In a video game, everything is predetermined. No matter what you choose to do, the subsequent events have already been arranged, likewise, in a world of duality. You can choose between different stories going on inside your head. No matter which one you settle for, your next step is decided in advance by the brain. It cannot be changed. You can, however, choose how to perceive your reaction to that step.

When you choose to perceive your reaction as ´it is what it is,´ it is experienced to be two-fold, and since you are in a world of duality, the result is satisfaction. But if you perceive your reaction as ´I know what it is,´ it seems singular and, therefore, incompatible with duality. Hence you do not feel satisfied but frustrated by duality. Unfortunately, most think the solution is to get rid of duality. Yet, it is the other way around.

Playing the game of duality, you confirm non-duality because it is formless and therefore endless, so it must be the sole reason for the experience of duality. And also the reason, duality is not real. Read more about that in HACK #4 When you begin to live by duality, it is going to end.

When you have perceived a singular opinion of yours as ´it is what it is,´ it reveals itself to be twofold. And since you appear to be in a world of duality, and everything in such a world operates in pairs, you feel complete. If this is perceived to be good enough, every moment is the perfect moment. Nothing is wrong or missing. Read more about that in hack #3.1 Every moment is the perfect moment.

Consequently, you must have decided something is wrong or missing if you do not feel amused. Since that is your own choice, you can undo it yourself and again sense that feeling amused is good enough. Read more about choosing in hack #2.2 Choosing or not. Having done that a few times, it is established that every moment is the perfect moment regardless of what and where you appear to be. In other words, if your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, you do not wait for a better moment but enjoy stretching out in this one.

As that means you never wait for something better, the continuation of duality, eventually, comes to an end. Hence there does not appear to be something hiding there never was or will be anything but non-duality since it is formless and therefore endless.

Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings are written within the apparent reality of duality. They do not claim to be non-dual or know what it is since that requires more than one. But they claim to know what is not non-duality, namely everything experienced, because it takes more than one to be aware of something.

And since it takes more than one to become something, you cannot become spiritual unless you believe to be in a world where there seems to be more than one. This article is a continuation of You undo the belief in duality by enjoying it, Part 1. Hence it is about the perception ´it is what it is,´ which reveals every experience is dual and that being in the duality flow feels like paradise. Actually so much that, eventuality, you forget about duality.

´What if…?´ versus ´it is what it is´

You need to be fully anchored in the belief that you are someone in a world of duality if you want to undo that belief – just like you need to play a game to finish it.

Hence we continue in the context of duality in which thoughts and feelings must be dealt with in an abstract way and physical issues in a material way. So if you conclude, your worries are caused by something you feel in your body – or that it is caused by your anxiety – you are mistaken.

Psychological and physical issues cannot connect. Yet, they may seem to do so when you, for example, combine the interpretation of your present pain in the foot with your understanding of something in the past. If the former is interpreted as dangerous and the latter as worrisome, danger seems to have caused the worries.

Hereafter, the danger and your worries seem to have a significant impact on each other, the more your imaginations run wild on a loop set off by envisioning ´what if…?´ But your specific thought-up outcome is revealed to be two-fold when ´what if…?´ is replaced with ´it is what it is.´ And since there is no specific cause without a definitive effect, your alleged connection between non-physical and physical issues is no more and never was. Read more about cause and effect here.

In hack #4.3 To be a basic self is to be good enough, you can read more about the unfortunate belief in a body-mind connection.

Thus you can deal with the pain in the foot on its own level, namely the physical, and face the worries on a psychological level. This is much easier and less scary when not imagining that a material issue affects an abstract one and vice versa – just like comments or likes on Facebook have no material impact because cyberspace and materiality do not mix. Or a romantic fantasy about a unique relationship never will manifest physically.

If you experience the world is spinning around you, you will probably be diagnosed with vertigo.* This does not mean the doctor believes your experience is real. On the contrary, it is a hallucination. The world cannot spin around you. However, you should not deny that you have this experience but that it is real. Doing that takes the fear away, so you able to realise that the whirling sensation is only going on inside you, and outside of you, the world goes on as normal. In other words, just like when you look at the horizon and experience the earth is flat and correct that, you correct the world outside of you spins around you when you have vertigo. Having vertigo* is a glaring example of believing in something that is beyond the bounds of possibility. The world is not capable of spinning around you. The whirling sensation is an inner experience caused by a psychological problem, which seems so dangerous that you need to hide what is going on in you. Thus you imagine the world outside of you that is spinning around you.

That is until you stand up to the way you interpret the chaos inside you, so you can perceive it as ´it is what it is.´ This perception makes a crack in your rigid opinion of what goes on. From this gap, something that, at first, looks pretty abstract pops up. But as soon as it has been defined by your initial interpretation, it settles as the opposite of that. Hereafter, it redefines the original rendition, so it is not alone anymore but in a relationship with its opposite. In this interaction of opposing elements, which happens by itself, there is no rigid point of view to uphold the fear of having your suppressed psychological problem exposed.

Since single-minded interpretations are disconnected from duality and since your appearance depends on dualism, you feel disconnected when you are reluctant to the togetherness of twofoldness.

Your initial interpretation is maybe felt like a bubble of sadness in the stomach. If you do not attempt to explain this vacuum but perceive it as ´it is what it is,´ it balloons outward as a swelling bubble of gladness. Had you started with that, it would have turned into sadness. This dualistic interaction does not give you peace of mind because that is a singular experience. Instead, it releases the breath, which sets the experience of other polarities in motion. In this togetherness of opposing elements, you do not separate feelings from their complementary part anymore. Hence there are no specific feelings to hunt you.

Doing that may not put an end to the whirling sensation right away. But since it

Forgetfulness is the best buddy of mindfulness, which you see when you perceive forgetting something as ´it is what it is

Should the procedure described above seems too complicated, and you forget what to perceive as ´it is what it is,´ you perceive your forgetfulness or uncertainty as ´it is what it is.´ Thus you get the interaction of forgetfulness and attentiveness or uncertainty and certainty. And since the interplay of polarity is what duality is all about, you feel fulfilled.**

Always perceiving your response to something as ´it s what it is,´ you do not have to control your reaction to avoid feeling wrong because it will be complemented by feeling right. This does not mean right and wrong is going to be balanced. Dualism is not about balance because that cancels out contrasts (read more about that here), and without that, a world of duality cannot be experienced. Photo © Alexius Jorgensen.

In the context of vertigo, you should, of course, approach it materially if the cause is physical, for example tiny crystals of calcium that have gotten loose in the inner ear. Maybe you consult a healthcare professional or do the Epley exercise for this. If, however, your reason for doing that is to get it over and done with, you are most likely fixated on getting back to being the you that you used to be.

Non-duality is nothing but one perpetual present. A world of duality, on the other hand, is a constant interaction of opposing experiences, for example the past and the future. Going with this flow of duality, you get the satisfaction of togetherness and not the loneliness that comes from separating the pairs of duality into single-minded concepts like living in the now.

Thus you do not feel fine regardless of the outcome like you do when your response to the problem is perceived as ´it is what it is.´ As already mentioned several times in this article, this perception replaces your singular interpretation of your reaction with a dualistic one. Consequently, you have a holistic experience of the cure and the outcome, maybe via the interaction of instability/stability, doubt/confidence, fatigue/health and disappointment/contentment. Many other duality pairs could be in play. But that is up to you to explore because part 2 of You undo the belief in duality by enjoying it is about to finish.

If that is experienced as abrupt, and your reaction is astonishment, please perceive it as ´it is what it is.´ Doing that, it is no longer excluded from its counterpart, calmness, wherefore you are in the duality flow and thus move on to other pairs of duality, for example abrupt/gradual, beginning/ end, and expectation/surprise. Hence you are, eventually, blown away by the interaction of duality.

So if you do not stop the duality flow by avoiding or enhancing specific thoughts and feelings, nobody walks a path with no distance to that which is everywhere since it is formless and therefore endless, namely non-duality. It is impossible to feel something at all because it takes more than one to do so, and there is no more than that which is one. But since you are reading this, you believe it is possible to be and have more than one. Hence you must feel what and where you believe in being, to undo this belief.

APPENDIX
Those who assume they suffer from a psychosomatic disorder have projected politically incorrect feelings like sexual lust, power strivings, greed, envy and anger, onto vulnerable parts of the body in the same way, some project offensive feelings onto the world.

But emotions are abstract, so they cannot be hidden in something substantial. Therefore, the projection of feelings on something tangible, such as others or your body, only conceals them from consciousness. Most, however, believe their problems are gone when they are out of sight. Just like an ostrich, according to myth, believes danger disappears when it buries its head in the sand.

Many of those believing in avoiding negativity like to use crystal stones for healing. They do not know that most of them, Amethyst, for example, does this by emitting negative ions which produce biochemical reactions that create positive vibes/mood and relieve stress.

This myth, though, is not valid. If an ostrich buries its heads in the sand, it dies from lack of air. And you die from the lack of collaboration between positivity and negativity if you hide the latter from yourself with a head-in-the-sand approach because everything operates in pairs in a world of duality. It is, for example, the combination of the positive and negative pole in a wire that results in electricity.

Since the basis of duality is polarity, it is obstructed when you reject negativity. And since the belief in duality cannot be undone if it is altered, you must bring back negativity in yourself to define positivity, and the two of them, therefore, can interact. To set the body free is to set you free [draft]

If you concentrate a lot, you might sense something that appears to be a person in this image. And if you extend this experience by imagining what the person is like, your experience seems real. But if you do not focus, you will not experience anything definable in this image that can define you as someone. And so you are well on your way back to that which is one because there is nobody in the picture – nor are you somebody looking at it, since it takes more than one to do so, and there is no more than that which is one. Imagine that you get glimpses of something that looks like a world in the steam coming up from it while sitting in a bathtub. Or imagine you look at a drawing or painting of some persons and start to sense their emotions. What you experience to see and feel is make-believe because there is actually nobody in a painting, nor in the world, you grasp in the steam coming from the bathtub. Yet imagination can make it appear as if something is going on in a lifeless painting or a stream of heat.

Though projections are not real, they appear to be if you hide their apparent effect is self-made.

Depending on the thoughts projected onto the persons appearing to be in a painting, you could experience them to feel good or bad. And if you think this experience comes back to you from them and not you, it feels like the people in the painting are alive.

By adding more thoughts to your love story – for example, that the persons are coming from the heart – more good vibes seem to come from outside of you, and so you seem to have a loving connection with someone that is not you. But it is a fantasy. There is nobody but you. And that is also a fantasy because, without anybody to define you, there is nothing.

This is to illustrate that what and where you experience being is made from fragments of things you imagine to be outside of oneness. It does not explain everything, though. Who is it that sees something, and is it possible to see anything when there is no more than that which is one?

No, it is not possible, and it is not possible to be someone for the same reason. In other words, nobody is having the experience of a world outside of themselves, neither of something inside of themselves. Yet, that which is not possible in reality can seem likely in a fairy tale. However, it is not possible to logically explain how something is possible in the world of a fairy tale because there is no logical way to describe something that is not real. If there were, it would be genuine. That is why so many like to ask, Who am I?

To exist is an illusion because it requires more than one to exist, to be or to have a consciousness and there is no more than that which is one, since it is formless and therefore endless.

Even though nobody has ever found an answer to that, they reckon the question implies that there is one and that it will prove they exist.

It is just as crazy as to ask who is the writer of this article and then start looking for the writer in the article. The re is nobody in it, neither in the world where you appear to be. Nor can that which is real be explained, as it takes more than one to do so.

So there we are – or at least we appear to be in a fairy tale of a world where there seems to be more than one. What to do about it? Doing nothing is the way out because doing something is what makes you appear to be there.

This does not mean that you should not deal with the problems that seem to arise from appearing to be there but that since the brain is the writer of it, you accept the brain as your director. Doing that, the body is free to take care of itself as it is made to do. But you help it, of course, when the brain instructs you to brush its teeth, for example.

You do not, however, try to set the body in balance. The biological system automatically keeps the body in balance when you do not interfere. Nor do you try to connect the body with spiritual powers. The body only wants to be connected with what makes you experience it to be physical, namely the brain. Everything else confuses it. Also, your attempts to make it more perfect or pure through fitness and yoga.

The attempts to project your ideas of perfection onto the body come from your misperception of the experiences produced by the brain that otherwise would have helped you to keep the body healthy.

These misperceptions may cause you to think you must get rid of orange peel, obtain six-packs, and other things that go against the body’s natural order. Therefore, you can make it easier for the body – and thus yourself since you believe in residing in it – by not projecting thoughts onto the body but keeping them in the mental sphere where they belong. Doing that, you keep the physical and psychological reality separated so they each can function on their own terms. Therefore, as the biological system is free from your tyranny, it can do what it is made to, namely to take care of bodily and not mental stuff.

This acknowledgement of the physical and mental reality as separate systems is also very helpful in regard to departing the tale of being someone substantial in a tangible world since that is the end of anything concrete. In other words, by keeping the physical and mental reality separated, your time in the tale of a tangible world feels better, and you can leave it without clinging onto the body.

In a world defined by time and space, everything travels in time. It takes, for example, eight minutes for the light of the sun to reach the Earth. Likewise, when the body has been set free, it takes time to register it.

Nothing seems like a lot, when there is no need to be and have anything, as before there appeared to be something, there was nothing.

Thus the reflex to stop the natural flow so you can be in control may still prevail. But if you acknowledge you are mistaken doing that, you set the biological system free to decide for you, and it always chooses what is best for everybody because that is what you are since the experience of others is a fiction made in your brain.

If pain in the mind is not denied the words that seems to cause the pain cannot hurt, but words projected onto the body – your own or somebody else´s – seems to be able to hurt and confirm the believe, that you are a person to be defined by time and space.

PART 2:
In the mental and/or emotional sphere, you perceive yourself to be someone definitive in a body defined by time and space. But as that which is you is formless, and therefore without beginning and end, it is painful to be reduced to someone with a beginning and an end in a world by time and space.

Yet, it is pain that makes you appear to be someone in a material world. When you pinch yourself to discover whether you are dreaming or not, it is the experience of pain that makes you feel alive as someone definitive in a world by time and space.

Since feeling alive, therefore, is bracket together with being in pain, you need to suffer. And since your sole existence as someone in a world where there seems to be more than one is based on the denial of the formlessness of oneness, denial is also what you resort to in making the pain bearable. You simply turn down the worst part of it, namely the psychological distress, by hiding it in the body, which as a side effect appears to be more real when the suppressed pain sooner or later causes physical discomfort.

Having established yourself and like-minded as good and others as bad, you live in constant fear of attack from those you judged to be evil. Hence you turn the body into a weapon of defence or attack by either keeping your shoulders deadlocked in a backwards or forward position (respectively the attack and the defence attitude). Since the muscles, therefore, become inflexible and eventually start to ache, you have actually used the body to attack yourself.

A way to keep unwanted feelings hidden inside the body is to hold the mouth closed, so no bad feelings slip out. But you cannot selectively exclude one kind of feeling. The exclusion of one emotion rubs off on the others, so the more a feeling is denied from your awareness by hiding it in the body, the number it becomes and the less alive you feel. At that point, you have forgotten that the pain in the body has been caused by yourself, and you blame something in the world for your discomfort. Your body, therefore, becomes a weapon of defence or attack against the world. To effectuate this, you keep the shoulders pushed forward into a position of defence or pushed back into a place of constant readiness to attack – or maybe you push them up in defiance.

The tightened body makes you feel safer and thus to be in control. Significantly if you also push one or both shoulders upwards to further tighten the area and thus prevent the feelings of the body from passing the blockage, so the brain cannot process them, but you mentally can explain them and thus escape feeling them.

This rational explanation of your feelings seems less frightening than to actually feel them. Most either block the incoming flow of emotions to the brain or the outcoming flow of the processed emotions from the brain. In general, a woman does not prevent the incoming flow of feelings from being processed by the brain, but instead, they prevent the processed feeling from being expressed by making up a mental story where they have the power to choose what, when and how much they want to communicate, and thereby being able to manipulate somebody into serving them.

Men, generally, do the same as a woman and for the same purpose, but in the case of men, it is instead the incoming flow of feelings they prevent from being processed by the brain. But whether it is the incoming or outcoming flow of feelings that are held back, the resulting blockage in the shoulders or neck shortens and/or extends the muscles, so the natural balance in the body is destroyed.

There are many ideas of how to restore the balance of the body, but as the cause of the imbalance is not there but in the mental sphere, all they accomplish is that the symptoms in the body are moved or momentarily relieved. To solve the problem, it must be faced where it is made, namely in the mental and/or emotional sphere where there is a sense of not being good enough as you are.

Not feeling loved as you are is a misunderstanding based on the perception that you are something else than the brain has created you to be.

As there is also a nagging feeling of being nothing, you wonder how you can ever be loved? Because you are nothing. Only that which is not real can be loved because it takes more than one to love or be loved, and reality is that which is one. So just like you love to hear music coming out of the speakers, although it is not real, the brain loves to see you as something, although it has made you out of nothing. Read more about that in hack #4.1 The basic self versus the special one.

Perceiving to be rejected or misunderstood is often a way to justify being depressed or angry and thus to suppress that it is your choice to be so. This is not to say that you should stop that or anything else but that if everything is perceived as it is what it is*, you have nothing to be depressed or angry about.

You will not feel loved, though, if you keep on filtering the feelings you receive and/or release to make it look like you get what you expect, for example disappointment for being let you down. If not filtering what you get and/or giving and perceiving that as ´it is what it is´* to be abandoned feels just as entertaining as to be supported. Therefore, since no feeling needs to be escaped, you do not feel stressed but relaxed, regardless of what you get and/or give.

This does not mean that common sense should be set apart. You may find its best not to express your deepest feelings to your boss. But just like you keep wearing an oversized sweater in the wintertime, even though you feel like wearing something lighter, there is no need to suppress the light feeling.

Nor should common sense be set aside in regards to the damage that has been caused in the body by the suppressed feelings. Apart from feeling them, you most likely need to stretch the shortened muscles in the body, energising them by doing Nordic Walking, or softening with far-infrared heating pads, for example from UTK. The latter also makes it easier to be with feelings as they are. To ensure there are no serious problems with internal organs, you may have to consult a qualified physician. It is not likely that the physical symptoms caused by suppressed thoughts and feelings will ever be entirely fixed. But since these thoughts and feelings can be brought to light, their leftover physical effect is perceived like the basic self would do, namely that ´it is what it is.´*

Should you, by the way, have distanced yourself so much from the thoughts and feelings you cut off from the awareness in the past and, therefore, cannot bring them back to the mental and/or emotional sphere where they are made, you can, instead, bring them back in one trunk by feeling the discomfort of the strained parts in the body that the suppression of them have caused.

Doing that without justifying the displeasure, it will eventually be replaced by pleasure. Until then, however, you will probably feel that this is the end of you. No worries. The only thing that ends is the special image of yourself that you have worked so hard to keep together.

Facing the sum of mental and/or emotional discomfort in the above way is, of course, much quicker than facing one thought or feeling after the other. Even faster, though, is the enlightenment of that which is one because it erases all experiences – also to be someone. The other duality hacks do the same but over time. Thus you can enjoy the belief in being someone definitive while slowly but surely having it undone. Hack #5.2 Uncontrolled speed leads to a state of not-knowing gives you a taste of how it is to be indifferent to this belief by bringing you into a state of not-knowing and shortly afterwards return you to the consciousness of being someone definitive, but with the memory of that being nothing, so you experience to be in the world but not of it.

This is until that memory takes over completely, so you no more seem to be somebody who can hide there is nothing but the formlessness of oneness. See hack #5.3 ´The empty breath´ and the bliss of not believing to be someone.

When the script of the brain* is perceived as ´it is what it is´, it does not exclude your feelings about it but includes them. This perception, therefore, is not a way to the dullness of detachment but the vitality of involvement. It is as close as you can get to the nothingness from where the brain has scripted its story of something from out of nothing while still appearing to be somebody. Not as close though as the perception ´dunno what it is,´ because it exposes the experience something as nothing.

Thus the bliss of nothing comes from ´dunno what it is,´ whereas the happiness of something comes from ´it is what it is.´ The happiness, though, is not depending on something specific. It can come from anything.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The stories the special self* makes up about its greatness are not always consistent. Thus it often feels disorganised and wishes to be like those it perceives to be organised. The basic self, on the other hand, has no need to be anything than in sync with the stream of thoughts coming from the brain, which it perceives as ´it is what it is,´ regardless it seems ordered or whatnot.

When any experience is perceived as ´it is what it is,´ there never is a need to make something go away. But when the perception is ´I know what it is,´ everything unknown must be avoided to keep the feeling on top of it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When you perceive every experience as ´I know what it is,´ it feels like something is missing because the perception is based on excluding everything unknown. If every experience, on the other hand, is perceived as ´it is what it is,´ one feels complete because that perception is all-inclusive. The perception, ´dunno what it is,´ nor exclude or include something. Thus you are in the bliss of nothing.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The basic self,* as well as the special one, is bound to follow the GPS coordinations it gets from the brain without making any side trips of its own. It does not have the power to change the journey – only how to perceive it. Their perception of that, though is very different. The basic self* basically perceives everything as ´it is what it is,´ and the special as ´I know what it is.´

That is why it is easy for the basic self* to be someone and hard work for the special one. It has to make a special perception of each experience, which reflects that I know what it is.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Only the brain can make you feel good enough because nobody else knows what you are. To get its approval, all you need is to perceive the experience it processes of you in a world where there seems to be more than one as ´it is what it is´. Actually, you do not even have to make this perception. If you do not try to interfere in the workings of the brain, it makes it automatically, also the shots of happiness you get from feeling good enough.

No worries if you cannot help but interfere. In that case, happiness bids you welcome when you make a perception of that which says ´it is what it is

When one perceives to be a victim of circumstances, one is out of sync with the script of the brain,* because it has neither victims or culprits. Fortunately, all that is needed to correct this is to change the perception to ´it is what it is

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You feel happy when every experience made by the brain is perceived as ´it is what it is´ because then they all appear to be entertaining.

But if you in attempt to be free and independent of the brain make a perception of the experiences as if they are about capitalism, socialism or spiritualism, for example, you are out of sync with them and thus the world because it is a manifestation of them. Hence everything appears to be very complicated and not as straightforward like when perceived as ´it is what it is

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

As long as a perception relates to the script of the brain* as it is, you are in sync with it. Thus you do not have to hang onto the perception, ´it is what it is,´ that the brain automatically generates. But since the making of a specific perception takes a longer time, it can be a bit delayed and, consequently, out of sync with the present moment. The frustration that this entails only gets worse if you try to solve it by using more time to process your experience of it, whereas perceiving the moment as ´it is what it is,´ there is no dissatisfaction because you are in sync with the script of the brain.*

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When the perception of an experience created by the brain is ´I know what it is,´ you feel important but also exhausted because much energy is required for upholding this perception. Hence the special self* always needs more power contrary to the basic self,* who needs nothing. Its perception is not demanding because it merely is that ´it is what it is.´ So even though it is dependent on the brain, it feels free.

Science says that what we seem to feel and see consist of 99.9999999 per cent empty space. And the rest, despite it also is empty space and just like a dream does not contain anything substantial, is what we perceive as elements of matter making up a tangible world.

If it changes perception to ´dunno what it is´, no definitions hold it back from returning to the emptiness from where it is conceived to be someone and thus to be no-one in the bliss of nothing.

For many years, the cat of Alexius, called Wincent, has more or less had the same routine. Every morning, very early, he leaves the house and comes back when Alexius is still in bed. First, Wincent says something. Then he lays down next to Alexius and waits for him to get out of bed and give him some food. At least that is the obvious conclusion to take based on the past because as soon as Alexius takes the first step out of bed, Wincent runs out in the kitchen where he with big eyes sits and waits for Alexius to give him food.

If Alexius, therefore, believes he knows what is going on, he goes from the perception of the basic self,* which is that ´t is what it is,´ to the perception of the special self,* that is ´I know what it is.´ Doing that he most likely stresses to get out of bed and feed his beloved cat, although this is not going to happen any sooner than if he as the basic self* had perceived ´it is what it is´ because the script of the brain* runs its course, no matter how he perceives it.

In other words, when you stick to the perception of the basic self,* your life seems to be taken care of, and you can relax. But having the perception of the special self,* you feel stressed because you believe you are in charge of your life.

There is a third option, namely to become selfless, which is the result when you choose to perceive ´dunno what it is´ because that brings you in a state of not knowing.*

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The basic self* has not anything to look forward to. Not because it is living in the now, but because its perception is in sync with the script of the brain,* which contains every possible experience. Hence the basic self* is in the past as well as the future and everywhere else but the formlessness of oneness because it cannot be experienced.

Being everywhere but in that which is one, the basic self* is nowhere and therefore, very close to that which cannot be experienced. All it needs to cross the apparent barrier is to not choose to do that or anything else because only in a world where there seems to be more than one can you choose to cross something.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Nobody, nor Alexius, is solely the basic self.* And nobody can remain in a state of not-knowing** for more than 20 minutes, 45 at most, at a time if they want to continue as someone substantial in a tangible world. Roughly speaking the perception of the special self* is ´I know what it is,´ whereas the basic self* sticks to the perception automatically generated by the brain, which basically says ´it is what it is.´ The non-self in a state of not-knowing** simply says ´dunno what it is,´ because it does not perceive the apparent differences in the experiences produced by the brain to make a difference.

The basic self* does not experience triumph and disaster just the same. Yet it is equally entertained by them because they are both perceived as´ it is what it is

When something is perceived as ´it is what it is,´ it neither excite or upset you. Actually, it makes you so relaxed that you automatically know if something should be done about it. Perhaps you need to change your diet, talk with your spouse or consult a healthcare professional. Being at ease could also be enough.

Since the basic self* perceives every experience as ´it is what it is,´ none of them seems to endanger what and where it appears to be. The special self,* on the other hand, needs to edit the perception of every experience, so it does not seem to endanger its default assumption, ´I know what it is,´ and thus can keep up the feeling of being in control  But since that is not so, it is bound to suffer emotionally, mentally and physically.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

In a dream, you do not try to be someone definitive but naturally, go with the flow. That is the way of the basic self.* And if you do not, in retrospect, try to arrange your experiences, so they seem to be coherent and meaningful, you remain in a state of constant change instead of being someone definitive.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

The basic self* does not assume something will go on in a specific way because every experience is perceived as ´it is what it is.´ Thus getting old and unable to do the things you were used to is not a loss.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When every feeling is perceived as ´it is what it is,´ no emotion needs to be escaped. Thus you are at peace.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Since the perception, it is what it, arises from not focusing on something specific, the technique for the taste of life will get you there if used in a gentle way. Applied in a more passionate way, you get the perception ´dunno what it is.´ See Perceiving the world as symbols of the four aspects of enlightenment – or how to have glimpses of enlightenment.

When the way you feel something in the body is perceived as ´it is what it is,´ there is not something specific to bother or amuse you. Hence you are free to go with the flow of thoughts as it comes from the brain. In other words, you are in the happiness of being synced with the script of the brain.*

But when you perceive what you feel in the body as ´I know what it is´ you are not free to go with the flow of thoughts as it is, because the script of the brain* is never permanent but fleeting. Hence you are out of sync with the script, and thus in the misery, it seems to be someone definitive who knows something specific.

If the way you feel something in the body is perceived as ´dunno what it is,´ you are not in the misery of being out of sync with the script of the brain* because there is not a body to feel. Consequently, you are in the bliss of nothing.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

If you perceive a movie as cheap because it uses furniture from Ikea that you do not approve of, you are out of sync with the script of the film. Thus it does not seem entertaining, which it does when your perception is in sync with the plot. This, however, does not mean you must do something about your condemnation of Ikea to get in sync with the script of the movie. All you need is you perceive your mistake as ´it is what it is.´ Doing that, there is no judgment to prevent you from being in sync. Hence both the script and your misperception of it seems enjoyable. Likewise, when you perceive the script of the brain* as´ it is what it is

If you had not misperceived the movie but commented it like hinted by the director via dramatic music, for example, you would automatically be in sync with the plot and feel entertained by its ups and downs. The same applies to the script of the brain.* Not perceiving it as ´I know what it is but ´it is what it is´ you are in sync with its ups and downs. Hence you feel them equally entertaining.

The belief that everything is something specific vanishes when you ´dunno what it is.´ Since that means, there is nothing to define you as someone definitive, you are momentarily in the bliss of nothing. This may at first comes from the desperation of figuring out what and where you are, but after realising that this is nothing, it is not desperation but the relief that you do not have to pump yourself up to be someone which takes you back to the perception dunno what it is.

Being intuitive is to perceive the script of the brain as ´it is what it is.´*

The enlightenment of that which is one cannot be known, but glimpses of it can

People have very strange ideas about the enlightenment of that which is one. Some think it is being pure love or consciousness, or the ability to see through all illusions. But since seeing or being something requires more than one, the enlightenment they are dreaming about is not the enlightenment of that which is one. The graphic is grabbed from the web.

Most of those writing or talking about the enlightenment of that which is one try to give the impression, that they know what it is, so if you have chosen to believe their so-called knowledge, you may dismiss the enlightenment of that which is one, if it hits you, because it has nothing to do with anything anybody claim to know. Enlightenment of that which is one is formless so it cannot be described or defined. If you try, you will remain as someone definable, and so it is not possible to bid welcome the enlightenment of that which is one.

In other words, if somebody refers to experiences of enlightenment, it is not the enlightenment of that which is one, because it cannot be experienced. Yet it might be glimpses of it because just like you can use your senses to experience a world that appears to be outside of you, you can turn them inwards in order to experience a world with glimpses of enlightenment.

If you tend to sense the world in an auditory way, turning the senses inwards may not reveal visual glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is one but auditory ones, so instead of a revelation of light, it is a revelation of ethereal harmonies. Just like the outer senses also can feel and taste, so can the inner ones.

In other words, there are the same different ways to experience the glimpses of the enlightenment of that which is one, as there are to experience the world when senses are partly turned inwards. If they are fully turned inwards, the enlightenment of that which is one is bid welcome. This is not an experience, though, as it takes more than one to experience something.

The purpose of feelings is to make it seems as if there is more than than that which is one, although it is formless and therefore endless, wherefore there is no more than the formlessness of oneness.

In other words, in reality, it is not possible to feel anything at all. Likewise, there is not something to experience. That is why the enlightenment of that which is one can neither be felt or experienced. It is that which is one.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

When the sun is shining sharp and bright, it reveals, if my windows are well cleaned or not – it shows all the things, I usually do not see. This is contrary to the light of the enlightenment of that which is one. Although it can be said to be brighter than thousands of suns, it reveals nothing. There is not anything to see and no need to see something. Not because it fulfils you, but because you as someone definable is no more. There is nothing but the light of that which is one.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

So many claims to know the way to that which is one, but none of them goes there. Could it be because they are still trying to heal, fix and improve what they believe to be instead of undoing the belief in being someone at all?

When that is undone, there is not someone to go to that which is one. Thus no way is needed.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

Someone who is to be compared to the enlightenment of that which is one has vague memories of it, whereas others have nothing but speculations.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

To be in the world and not of it does not mean, the world looks more dreamy, transparent or lucid. The world is a concept, that always looks the same, unless you do not change the concept via for example drugs or Photoshop like in the case of this pic. To not be of the world is like, – within this context of the world – that when you play a game like Monopoly, you know, you are in it but not of it.

The enlightenment of that which is one does not change anything – except that you know, the world is pure fiction. This also includes ideas of god, love, higher self, ego, and you name it. Well, enlightenment also makes it easier to live in a world where there seems to be more than one.

Because when you know none of it is real – neither you as a person in it – there is no need for questions or answers. You are free to step on it and play the game of pretending to be a person ´there´.* Someone once put it more or less like this: To be in the world and not of it.

∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞

You cannot know the enlightenment of that which is one, and that is why hardly anybody is enlightened. They try so hard to know and understand – and so they fail, because in regard to the enlightenment of that which is one everything you seem to know is wrong!

The unenlightened likes to teach others the way to enlightenment, but the enlightened knows there is no way.

Books and lectures may seem to provide some understanding about the enlightenment of that which is one, but the more you think you understand, the further away you are from it. The same applies if you think you understand it after reading Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings. They are not meant to be understood, but to help you to unlearn everything, you have learned.

The enlightened does not care to appear spiritual or anything else, as to be something requires more than one. But to the unenlightened it is very important appearing to be spiritual, so even though the enlightened and the unenlightened knows just as much about the enlightenment of that which is one, namely nothing, the unenlightened show off as if knowing so much.

You cannot bid welcome the enlightenment of that which is one by wanting it, but by not wanting to be of the world. It erases everything you know so that there is literally nothing left for the light to carry through a black hole into that which is one.

The enlightenment of that which is one does not result in something. It has absolutely no effect, as that would require more than one.

Just the smallest definitions of the enlightenment of that which is one break it up in specific elements that each has a beginning and end – and as it cannot be broken, you have fabricated another illusion to fence it off. So do yourself a favour: Forget all that you think, you just read. Forget, what and where you believe to be, so that there is no belief blocking out the enlightenment of that which is one.

Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings presents no definition of the enlightenment of that which is one, as it is not of the world a world where there seems to be more than one, and therefore cannot be figured out. There is not someone definable in the enlightenment of that which is one, so there is nobody to picture it.

Nobody sees it. Yet if you return to a world where there seems to be more than one as a visually minded person, you may have vague memories of a light brighter than thousands of suns as it is described in the Bhagavad Gita. Neither is there anybody hearing it, but if you are an audio minded person, you may have vague memories of ethereal harmonies with sounds that can be compared to bells and harps. See the article What sort of external music resembles the internal one.

And even though there is nobody to feel the enlightenment of that which is one you may as an emotional minded person have vague memories of a feeling that can be compared to the sensation of thousands of bubbly Coca Colas mixed into one bubble. This is actually what the vibration that Aum, Sohang or The Word of God symbolises. Also, it is not something you taste. Most likely, however, there are vague memories of thousands of smoothies mixed into one taste of milk and honey with a hint of strawberries or liquorice.

As the enlightenment of that which is one is what undoes the belief that there is more than one, it is not mixing its different aspects, but using the one that is most appealing to you, so do not fight it when all the thoughts collected to witness you as someone definitive is extracted and the nothingness of you is sucked into that which is one.

Since the world, in general, focuses on seeable effects, the visual aspect of the enlightenment is the most known. The other features, however, are about the same. They all make you forget to focus on something definable so you as nobody can follow the flow of them into the formlessness of that which is one.

Whatever aspect of the enlightenment you naturally are attracted to follow depends on your preferences as someone definitive. The goal, though, is not to see, hear, feel or taste the enlightenment of that which is one. It cannot be experienced since there is no more than that which is one, and it takes more than one to experience something. For the same reason, there is no goal at all.

Please be aware, that if for example somebody has never seen a carrot, and it is described as having a colour like a colourful sunset, this does not mean, a carrot has anything to do with as a sunset. It is common sense.

But when it comes to the enlightenment of that which is one most seem to forget common sense and make strange conclusions, so to spell it out: Any description of the enlightenment of that which is one in Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings, is just that, namely a story. And like a carrot is not a sunset, the visual aspect of the enlightenment of that which is one in a light brighter than thousands of suns, but the intensity of it can be compared to that.

Failure often is success

In a long forgotten land, there lived an old man in a house far away from everything.

In a land long time forgotten, there was a wise old man, who was said to know the way to the enlightenment of that which is one. A young man, who dreamed of this, travelled for months through the country until he finally succeeded in finding the old man in an obscure place far from everything. He asked, the old if he could show him the way to the enlightenment of that which is one, and the old man answered: »No problem if you are willing to work for it«.

»Of course«, said the young man, who was very eager to get started, but a little surprised when the old man asks him to dig a ditch around his house. He assumed the old man was poor so that if he would do it for free, all secrets would be revealed for him.

He, therefore, did his best to impress the old man, but it was not easy. The old man kept saying, the work was not good enough, it could be much better, the ditch should be much deeper and so on. When the old man at long last seemed to be satisfied, the young one thought, now he would be rewarded for all his hard work.

Expecting something for something
For about a week the young man patiently waited for the old man to show his appreciation. Though the old man said nothing, he treated the old man with much respect, thinking the more he could make the old man feel good, the more he would reveal. For weeks the old man did not approach the young man at all, until one day he quietly asked him to fill up the ditch again.

The young man freaked out and started to wonder if the old man really was a wise man, but he decided to see what would happen if he did what he was told – and so he filled up the ditch in such a way, that you could hardly see, there ever had been one.

The award appeared shitty
The young man was very proud of his work, and when the old man asked him to meet in his house exactly one hour later, he thought, now all secrets will be revealed to me. So he opened the door to the house with a big smile on his face. It did very last very long though because the old man threw a bucket of cow shit down on the young man from his hiding place above the door. The young man got angrier than ever before in his life – especially as he through the shit saw, how amazed the old man was.

Furiously he left the old man, thinking he had wasted months of his precious life with this sadistic man, who knew nothing about the enlightenment of that which is one. After some time, however, he felt like coming back, and so one more time he asked the old man to teach him the secret way to the enlightenment of that which is one.

Again the old man said yes and gave him one meaningless assignment after the other. A year or more went on like this, and when the old man one day again threw a bucket of cow shit on the young man, he quietly looked at the old man with a happy smile beneath the shit.

The young man did not feel young anymore, neither old. And he was no more looking for secrets to be revealed in the future. He was not looking for anything at all, neither did he assume, that he in any way had done or was anything special. All his ideas were gone. He was empty, and in the emptiness, he saw nothing, so there was not something to hide the enlightenment of that which is one.

Failure often is success
In the above, Alexius may have mixed two old Satsang* stories, that he heard as a young man. At that time he considered them to be typical guru stories out of touch with modern life because he was still into using life instead of being used by it.

In the eyes of the world, he has had a very successful life. In the past years, however, everything seems to fall apart. There is nothing inside of him, no ´I´ with a need to have or do anything that seems useful, neither no power to do something about it. Actually, no power of his at all. This apparent failure, though, could be his biggest success.**

Alexius has no more to live up to. All expectations are gone. He is nothing and that is why the formlessness of oneness can use him as a medium for the which is one. This is, of course, just a metaphor because oneness is a power with no powers as that requires more than one, so it has no power to use anyone.


*) Satsang is a Hindi word that roughly translated means to be in the company of truth, which in the context of Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings is nonsense, as to be something requires more than one and truth is that which is one. In other words, it is just another fabricated state of mind in a world where there seems to be more than one, that is used to hide there is no more than one.

**) This reflects the personality of Alexius, but it does not necessarily apply to your personality. Having nothing inside is just as illusionary as anything else in a world where there seems to be more than one, so if the illusion of having everything inside and lots of success in the world seems to your ´way´ by all means go for it.

What it boils down to is that all illusions are symbols of that which is real, since without reality there could be no illusion. Perceived in this way, it does not matter what illusion you indulge yourself in. They all symbolise that which makes it possible to experience something that is not real. Everything takes more than one, when you believe there is more than one

PART 1:
It takes two to become enlightened. »When your eyes become single your whole body shall be full of light«, Jesus said. And it takes two to appear as someone in a world, where there seems to be more than one.

It takes two to make a difference. Both the positive pole and the negative one is needed to produce electricity.

It takes two to see, that differences do not make a difference.

Everything in a world, where there seems to be more than one. requires the involvement of at least two appearances. You cannot appear to be someone without being defined by someone appearing to be different, and there cannot be a world without someone to define it.

In reality, there is no more than that which is one, but as the world where you appear to be is based on the idea that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one, to come back to reality you have to start off as if you are more than one.

The person you appear to be in the world cannot be in the virtual world of a game like Super Mario, so to participate in it you pretend to be there. That, however, does not make the virtual world – or your appearance there – real. On the contrary, what and where you pretend to be you are not.

In the same manner, nothing can make the oneness of that which is you real in a world where there seems to be more than one. That which is you is not ´there´. It is something you pretend and no matter how good you are at it and whatever you pretend to be it is not real – this includes pretending to be spiritual, Buddha and whatnot.

No words like higher, realised and spiritual, that seem to value you as someone more evolved and better than others, will make you into anything else than what you already is in the world where there seems to be more than one, namely an illusion.

If you pretend to be a black car in the world of Monopoly, what you pretend to be is an illusion regardless you go to prison, own many houses or not. There can be many changes in a game, but it does not change, that you are not there. You only appear to be there. Neither does anything change if you pretend to be the white car instead.

To bid welcome the enlightenment of that which is one, when appearing to be in a world where there seems to be more than one, you must overlook the differences of its appearances. Not by perceiving them as one. On the contrary. Separation – and not oneness – is the nature of the world.

So if you see them one by one without focusing on anyone, in particular, their apparent differences make no difference, and as they become the same so do your two eyes and as one eye they fill your whole body with light.

This is a poetic description of the enlightenment of that which is one. Practically speaking it might be more correct to say, that when differences make no difference you do not need the function of two eyes, which is to make the world dimensional. One eye – often referred to as the third eye and energetically speaking located on top of the eyebrows in between the two eyes – is enough for the enlightenment of that which is one, because oneness has no dimensions.

In other words, the enlightenment of that which is one is not possible with two eyes. They must be closed so that the dimensional world experienced with the external senses is not seen. Well, it is not so much the eyes that must be closed, but your attention towards the world they seem to see.

In the enlightenment of that which is one, there is literally nothing to see. If there is, you have not been blinded the brightness of the enlightenment of that which is one, but fenced it off so all what you get is glimpses of it, which often is confused with the enlightenment of that which is one.

Many so-called spiritual teachers claim, that there is a real you to be revealed, when you get rid of the ego. But as it requires more than one to get rid of something, and as there is no more than that which is one, getting rid of anything is an illusion.

Most of those, who talk about enlightenment does not know what it is. They are just as eager as everybody else in the world of the outer senses to be acknowledged as someone definitive, so even though the only cause of suffering is the belief in being someone definitive, their teachings are not about undoing this belief, but getting rid of the ego, the past, the future and whatnot.

The world of the outer senses consist of one percent energy and 99 per cent empty space. In other words, there is nobody there.

It is very beautiful with the light of the sun coming through the clouds, but it has nothing to do with enlightenment. It is just another sight in the world, that is just as virtual as the so-called egoless states the gurus and their followers are dreaming about.

They tell you, that your suffering will stop when their teachings have transformed you into someone better and more spiritual. But as being transformed requires more than one, it enhances the belief in a world where there seems to be more than one instead of undoing it.

Gurus are no different from you, though they like to show off as if they have a higher consciousness. But to have something requires more than one – and there is no more than that which is one.

The idea that enlightenment results in you being wiser, at one with everything, without thoughts or detached from them is solely speculative – an idle hope that the fabrication of such a super person based on the illusion of being someone specific will prove that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one.

The enlightenment of that which is one does not result in anything. Least of all being at one with everything because in reality there is no more than that which is one and therefore nothing to be at one with. Besides results are of a world experienced by the senses and the enlightenment of that which is one is not. It cannot be sensed, as reality is that which is one and it takes more than one to sense something.

The visual aspect of enlightenment of that which is one can be compared to closing all apps on a computer including the one simulating the desktop. Without the appearance of a desktop, there is nothing to hide the light, that is used to simulate a world on the screen.

The aspect of enlightenment of that which is one, that Aum, Sohang or The Word of God symbolises, can be compared to the humming from the fan or the engine in a computer. You can hear this vibration all the time – especially if you do not look at the screen or listen to the sounds of the world simulated by the computer.

Though the light behind the desktop and the distant humming are the means for fabricating a simulated reality on the computer screen, they are not part of this simulated world, so if you want to see or hear what is powering the world that appears on the screen, you must do what is needed to stop that world.

This is a metaphor to say that you have to undo the belief in a world where there seems to be more than one in order not to hide the enlightenment of that which is one, that is already there.

PART 3:
The apparent power of the ego comes from the mutual agreement, that it is possible to be and have more than the formlessness of that which is one. But as any belief requires more than one and therefore enhances the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one, believing to be on a spiritual path is to follow what one is supposed to escape, namely the ego.

Alexius is the non-teacher of Alexius´ Enlightened Non-Teachings, but he is also its non student – and vice versa. No others are needed in order to undo of the belief, that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one.

Yet being and having more than that which is one is not possible, since oneness is formless and therefore endless, so there is no more than that which is one. It seems, however, possible to believe that it is possible to be and have more than the formlessness of oneness and that you are someone definitive in a world where there seems to be more than one. In order to hold this belief together, everybody must agree to it, because it only takes one to undo the belief that there is more than that which is one.

When believing to be someone definitive, you all the time need the experience of others. Whether they appear to be in an online, physical or astral world does not actually matter, because the experience of them is manufactured by the brain, that is conditioned in accordance with the belief, that you are someone definitive.

If you need time to process this, you consent to the belief that it is possible to be and have more than that which is one, because processing something as well as taking your time requires more than one. For the same reason, there is no support to get in undoing the belief, that there is more than that which is one.
